Ronja would have to be the perfect choice. I don't think someone like Nicholaas could be fooled into picking the wrong gal! But I wanted him to be happy, so I may have made her a little extra nice. I would have liked to publish the whole story as a single, but too many people prefer chapters. And the rules say only two chapters per day. I'm getting too old now to change my ways and start being sneaky now!

Hmm. I don't know. Let's try! I sure wouldn't mind meeting Santa in person. I always thought that Santa must be a really cool dude. I mean, with a name like Santa, how could you not be cool? Okay...well, nothing yet...don't hear any hooves on the roof...haven't seen any new presents pop up under the tree...don't hear any sleigh bells...oh...wait. Well, isn't that the way it always works? I'd like to try this experiment some more, but someone's knocking at the front door!

I don't know. It was so much taller than me that I couldn't see that high, and there was nothing to climb up on. You know those Santa's workshop reception areas never have step ladders!

Well, Vikings pretty much swung that sword or ax at anything the moved, so by freezing you would probably survive the encounter. Surely long enough to exchange pleasantries and get his phone number!

An hour passed - at least that much time - as they talked. No one came to enlighten them on the hunt for the foobear, but they had decided by then that this was not going to be a simple affair, and that they might as well relax and enjoy the company. Charlie was perfectly happy to let those that knew what they were doing handle the current problem. Surely, they would all learn the full story later. People mention others all the time in conversation, and it doesn't mean they'll show up. Like mentioning Santa at Christmas doesn't mean that old Saint Nick himself will show...oh. Sorry. Bad example!

Oh, I HAVE tried better Chocolates, which is why I used Hershey's as the lower end of the spectrum. I can eat Hershey's, but it's not my preference by a long way. I'll have to try the two you mentioned. I'm partial to dark chocolate, and can recommend Pascha, Equal Exchange, and Alter Eco. Europe is chocolate heaven, and the brands there too numerous to list!

Shh! What you have just described cannot happen, so it didn't! I tend to enjoy the stories by UK writers. There is a flavor to them lacking here. Not that Americans don't have a sweet flavor, too...they do. The difference is like chocolate. I like Hershey's, but it has always been different from Chococo on my palate!
