    Chapter 1

Charlie and Kip have parents that are either extremely tolerant, or just don't seem to notice that their boys are careening around the universe in strange star ships. Or, perhaps parents really do NOT watch every little thing their teenagers are doing, allowing them to at least step out between meals. I vote for the latter, as otherwise, I got some 'splaining to do! 🙂

Haha. I realize this is not exactly your normal fare. Thanks for the kind words!

Gern geschehen! Thanks for coming along!

    Chapter 1

The dues are a lot easier to pay, too! Out of pocket expenses only, and they come from someone else's pocket!
  5. "This is kinda outside my abilities, I think," Max said, after Keerby and Casper had filled him in. The elder elf was seated in a seat formed just for him by the shuttle, and calmly looking about at the circle of faces. "We'll need some specialists on this, I think." Charlie smiled. "You're being modest, right?" The older elf laughed. "I know you guys are used to me knowin' what to do in every situation that comes along, but even I have limits." Kippy sighed, and leaned over Max from

    Chapter 2

    I don't think I have a good comeback for that! 😁

    Chapter 1

Thanks. You're the second to point that out. It's almost impossible to proof my own stuff and get 100% of the typos. I tend to see what I thought I typed, instead of what's there. I have a beta reader, and he doesn't always get all the ones I miss, either. What's a poor father to do? 😉

    Chapter 1

That's pretty good! 😀 But it's Interstellar Union of Pilferers, Filchers, and Thieves.

    Oh...rats. I can't think of everything!

    Chapter 1

    I considered doing that!

Don't forget to bring your watering can and sunhat!

    Chapter 1

Hey! I don't hire just anybody for my stories. These guys are members of IUPFT! Yeah, you'll just HAVE to ask, won'cha?

    Chapter 1

Well, I'm hoping it will be a good adventure!

    Chapter 1

Atari! There's a name I haven't heard in years. I still have a 2600 in a box somewhere, with a bunch of games. Not tempted to go look for it, though, as I probably already have enough Xboxed brain cells misfiring that the extra strain would just end it all for me!
  16. "Hmm. That looks like the one." Captain Neema highlighted a dot on the display, and all eyes turned to examine it. "Shouldn't take long to get there at all." "You sure this guy is manipulating time?" Qurank asked Charlie, casting a doubtful look at Keerby. "If we're off galactic time, why don't my instruments detect the shift?" "The interfaces of our time frame with the exterior time frame include all the proper translation protocols," Keerby explained patiently. "So there is no detectab

    Chapter 1

There are a LOT of species of aliens. I only seem to be able to attract the slightly odd ones. Sorry. I knew i should have worn a mask when I hired them!

    Chapter 1

Sid tried out for the part, but Qurank got it. Sorry!

    Chapter 1

Yep. I found the reading on Oumuamua fascinating. Nothing like a good mystery to tickle one's speculation!
  20. "Oumuamua," Charlie Boone said wistfully, sighing and sitting sitting back in his chair at his desk. His laptop was open before him, the screen aglow with the material he'd been reading. A picture stood out there, of a colorful object starkly lit against a dark background. Over on Charlie's bed, his boyfriend Kippy Lawson was kicked back against the pillow, a magazine open upright atop his chest. "Did you say something?" he asked, turning a page. Charlie smiled and turned to gaze at his
  21. Charlie and the gang decide to spend Valentine's Day investigating a mysterious visitor to the solar system. You know, regular holiday stuff.
  22. I like Cindy. She's good people. Everyone should have a smart, loving sister! Hank...jeez. No one acts that way that isn't still carrying a torch of some kind. Felt sorry for Dawson over that encounter. Interesting that Chase and Hank often get the most out of their conversations when they're with someone else. But Hank needs to slow down a little and use less of the lizard brain in his thinking. Great story, as usual!

    Getting There

Ah. About time you posted this one here. I love these guys, and think they go great together. Very nice to read it again!
  24. Hmm. Unhappy scene with Trey and Carlos. They could have handled that better, but that's what people sometimes do in difficult situations. I'm going to reserve my opinion on what Hank and Kevin were doing together...for now. This is a sad story, and you are telling it so well. Chase and Hank are like a pair of boxers in the ring who are lovers: they keep swinging at each other, but neither wants to connect with a solid hit. I'm going to trust you to have at least one smile at the end. Humorous note: I loved what Cindy said to her brother: “Cool your jets, little brother." My Uncle was in the air force for 27 years, and he still uses that exact expression to tell someone to hold up.

    Part 5

Thanks for the kind words. A sequel? Well, maybe. The story is still playing out!
