  1. I should have a link for all the stories here that were originally a challenge story on the other site. I'll have to recheck them to see if they're all there.

    Thank you!

    Chapter 5

As another character in one of my stories once smiling said, "Everything's better the second time around!" Thank you, sir, for the very kind words.

    Chapter 5

Always a great pleasure to hear from my favored critics!

Tom Leherer would be proud of you, my son!

    Chapter 5

I can imagine the sort of taunts a guy named Hank would have to endure in school as it is!

    Chapter 5

    Um...I'll never tell!

    Chapter 5

When people get to know you, and like you, and decide to be your friend, it doesn't matter what others say about you. Friendships are possessive things. We 'invest' in others, and the rewards are the company they give, and the warmth they add to our lives. That is always worth protecting, and good friends will always step up and stand by your side...and we will do the same for them. Andy and Donnie were well-liked before Dickie started trying to trash them. Being good friends to others was the best protection these two could have!

    Chapter 5

Thank you. We are all in this world together. But we generally need to find the special one that understands it the way we do, in order to get along happily with all the rest.

Listen to the doctor. No one knows you better than your PCP!

    Chapter 5

Thank you. And I agree, that two hearts are better than one!

    Chapter 5

I think it's safe to say that Dickie and friends will have a difficult school year ahead of them. Absolutely, that makes sense. I'd be the first to agree with you that 'perfection' comes in many shades!

    Chapter 5

Thanks. I felt for this story that the suggestion that Dickie and crew made themselves pariahs among their classmates enough. Being snubbed at school by one's peers makes for a very difficult education!

    Chapter 5

Thank you. One happy ending is worth more than all the doubtful resolutions you can find. 🙂

    Chapter 4

Most people possessing this sort of personality have a problem of some kind. Sad but true fact, that some human beings need to be kept away from the rest of us.

I was going to go there, but decided to leave that opening for you!

As in, the light glaring off his barren brow?

    Chapter 4

I always try to NOT spoil the ends of my stories.

    Chapter 4

When I was in school, drama club was not associated with being gay. That must be a more modern view. Back then, everyone either wanted to ham it up onstage, or point the lights in the wrong direction. It was considered a sort of 'free' class, where everyone had fun, and there was no homework!

    Chapter 4

Music is one of those things that everybody can appreciate. Even bad guys have to pause and smile when a song they like comes on. If we could bottle that, we could rid the world of bad guys!

    Chapter 5

The night of the play came. I was nervous all day at school, and at football practice after; but as we met backstage to begin our first night as a team, I felt a weird kind of calm coming over me. I think because I was feeling that it was ready to happen, that it was almost over. In a way, I was excited. We'd put a hell of a lot of work into this, and rehearsed our asses off. And the play did look like it was going to be good. We'd all peeked out into the theater as the seats filled. The he

Pleased to help that along. Smiling seems to feel good all over, not just below your nose!

    Chapter 4

The trick in life would seem to be to have amazing friends at 50, just like you did when you were 13.
