-Part 2- Chapter 18: Surprises As my surprise birthday party carried on I couldn’t help but fall quiet and watch everything unfold. We didn’t need the T.V. or music to entertain us. Instead we sat around my couch, just, talking. Okay fine, shouting, but still, you get the idea! “You alright?” The blond haired teen with crystal blue eyes next to me asked. “You’re getting kind of spacey.” “I’m fine.” I forced a smile and pulled myself back into reality. “Just still a little surpris

Chapter 17: Family I once read that if you change how you look at the world, the world around you will change. Honestly, when I first read it I rolled my eyes. It just makes change sound so easy. But the reality is change isn’t easy, and we all know that. These past few weeks, they’ve been fun, but it took everything in me to survive them. It took everything to get through the nights I cried myself to sleep, but I stuck with it and now, well now I’m falling asleep with Dizzy in my arms.

Tips for flirting with someone still in the closet
Aceinthehole replied to Aceinthehole's topic in The Lounge
That's good advice. Unfortunately he's not at work this week, so I'll have to try next week. Fingers crossed I don't accidentally cross a line! -
This is a bit of an odd topic but hear me out. Recently I made a new friend at work. Based off some subtle moments of catching each other staring and prolonged conversations, I'm pretty sure he's interested in something more. However, I'm very sure he's still closeted (we live in a religious area, and both grew up going to catholic schools). I'm only 22, but I haven't flirted with a closeted guy since High School. To be honest I've lost the art of subtle flirting and could use some tips to get me back on track! Any advice is welcome!

Chapter 16: Out of Love That night things finally started to feel normal again. Sure, Adam was slightly off, but for the most part he was his goofy self! He even finally agreed to another movie night! Maybe this means things will finally calm down again. I don’t know how many more crazy days I can handle! “So,” Adam began as yet another Harry Potter movie came to an end. “You’re going to Dizzy’s Friday night?” “Yup.” I nodded, shooting him a cautious look. “Are you nervous?” He a

Chapter 15: The Pity Party It’s odd, you’d think I would know how to comfort someone after a break up by now. I mean, I’ve seen my Mom go through a couple, but even then, I just couldn’t find the right words. Yet she never seemed to mind. She just wanted me close to her. She just needed to be reminded we were all each other needed. But Adam’s different. I can tell by the look on his face that he wants a boyfriend. I can tell he wants someone other than me to come home to. I don’t blame him f

Thank you all for understanding my situation!

Couldn't have said it better myself 😉 Great analysis. I think you hit a good point in helping Adam with all of this will help Artie's own relationship grow.

As a writer I prefer M/M, although as a reader I would read anything so long as it works. The reason why I prefer M/M as a writer is because my writing needs to reflect me. As fun as a M/M/M sounds to me, it's just not something I would take emotionally well.

Chapter 14: Holding Back That night was perhaps my favorite night so far in San Francisco, hell, maybe even my favorite night of my life! I was surrounded by friends and good music, what more could I ask for? They don’t even like this type of music! Yet here they are, without a single complaint. But everything that goes up must come down, and as another slow song came on I found myself starting to zone out. “I’m going to go get a soda.” I lied, slipping away from them before anyone c

Haha trust me, it kills me not to be able to write whenever I want! Especially when an idea hits me out of nowhere! The notes app on my phone has never gotten so much use. However I need to start saving up to move out soon. I don't know how much longer I can handle living with my parents!

Chapter 13: Mr. Misunderstood There was just something special about rolling around on my couch kissing Dizzy. Maybe it was the threat that Adam could come down at any second, or the fact that I’m finally open with my sexuality, but god damn did we have sparks flying! Eventually we wore ourselves out enough to put on Game of Thrones and cuddle. “So that doesn’t turn you on at all?” Dizzy asked as a shirtless women walked across the screen. “No.” I laughed, looking at the teen on

Teddy Haner to the E.R! Teddy Haner to the E.R!
Aceinthehole commented on Aceinthehole's story chapter in Teddy Haner to the E.R! Teddy Haner to the E.R!
I briefly unpublished both stories to take out the lyrics that had been quoted. I was informed that songs lyrics after 1935 aren't covered under fair trade, so I had to take them out or risk having my pants sued off if a label ever found this for some reason. -
Imagine your perfect life. What’s it like? Are you rich? Are you popular? Do you have a million cars? Well 17 year old Teddy Haner doesn't have to imagine. Being student body president, and captain of his lacrosse team…he has everything! However when a new mysterious friend flips his world upside down, and starts to ascend to stardom, he finds that there’s a lot more to life than popularity.

I could see myself watching the nation park one. It's just really fun seeing all that amazing scenery and perhaps planning a trip to them one day. I love Planet Earth and Cosmos, both of them are so brilliant. I'll make sure to check out all the others, thank you for such a great detailed list! It's nice to have all these suggestions to pick from! I'll make sure to check it out! Thank's for the list, It's definitely worth checking out resources like this festival! I love Frontline! Nazi Hunter also sounds really interesting. I love learning about WWII so this one will be at the top of my list for sure. I'll make sure to check out some on youtube! It will be a great easy place to watch them! This is definitely something I would love! LGBTQ films, especially those with San Fran connections would be very helpful to my current story! Also, Coming Out Under Fire sounds very interesting, I can't imagine sacrificing your life only to be judged for your sexuality.

Sometimes things happen at surprising times in our lives, I hope you stumble upon a gentlemen of your own one day soon! For now, I'm more than happy to keep writing stories for you all! It's always really nice to hear they brighten peoples days!

Chapter 12: The Tavern The rest of the night was quiet, but Adam stayed by my side until I fell asleep. He doesn’t have to do this. He doesn’t have to sit with me and feel my pain. He’s already conquered his demons. Yet he’s with me anyway. Rising to the challenge of what a parent should be. The next morning I took my time waking up. Sure, I feel better than last night, but I still need a few more hours to piece everything together. I still have so many questions that are unanswered.

I'm most sorry for interrupting Chopped. I freakin love that show!

Chapter 11: Heartbreaker It’s weird. You’d think with everything I had just been through there’d be a lot on my mind. Maybe I’d be overwhelmed from two guys chasing me at once, or from trying to figure out my sexuality. Maybe I’d feel guilty from the incident with Ky in the hallway. Yet there was only one thing on my mind, and it was starting to feel like I’d never stop thinking about him. “Earth to Artie.” Adam teased as I stared off at my book instead of reading. “You’ve been reading t

Glad you enjoyed it so much you could read it twice! I know the endings not easy to revisit, but I think you nailed it when you said "it's not over yet." I agree on polishing and one day down the road I'm planning to revisit it and fix it up a bit. There are some things that just need slight tweaks.

I recently watched the documentary Evil Genius on Netflix. It was the perfect balance of creepy and interesting. I wouldn't say it's the best documentary I've ever watched, but it's a great 4 episode watch if you have the time (warning there is some graphic content in it). I'm looking to expand my repertoire of Documentaries, as I realized they're some of my favorite media. Any good ones anyone can recommend me?

For me the farthest I'm comfortable with is a quick kiss. Hand holding, cuddling, anything simple like that is fine too. Deep kisses, or being right in front of one another face and whispering makes me a tad bit uncomfortable. However, it's awesome you're clearly having fun with your BF!

Good to hear! I hope you find this book just as meaningful as the first one!

Chapter 10: Self-Fulfilling Prophecy There aren’t many words I can think of to describe cuddling with Dizzy that night. I would’ve thought it would be uncomfortable, but there was just something special about getting to hold him. I mean this is the boy I’ve been hearing about since I got here. This is the boy that climbed through a window on my first day! Yet here he is, in my bed, in my arms. “Good morning.” I was able to force out as my phone alarm began to ring. “Just a few more m
