  1. Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
  2. Thanks! It'd be more trouble for the professor than the student! Might not be illegal but it's certainly unethical!
  3. Yes he does.
  4. At least we set up that Dustin was having these kinds of dreams and it wasn't out of nowhere!
  5. I originally had "I really love you" but it wasn't strong enough. After I changed it to "honestly," I had this song running through my head as well!
  6. Not quite over yet! :)
  7. Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
  8. “You’re negative,” Zack said with a smile. “Oh wow… What a relief!” Dustin replied. He was relieved to finally have his answer. It hadn’t been a very long wait, but it had seemed like an eternity. He thanked Zack and walked with him to the lobby where Brett was waiting for them. “Well?” Brett asked. Dustin just smiled, and that was all Brett needed to know. Brett rose from his seat and went to hug Dustin. But before he was able to reach Dustin, the door opened be
  9. Dustin had never been at a funeral where there were so many people as the day he went to Joey’s funeral. There was hardly any room for anyone to sit in the large church where the service was held. Dustin had never been in that church before, but he’d heard a lot about it. It had one time been the church where Nate’s father had preached. There’d been a huge scandal at the church involving Nate’s father, so he had resigned in disgrace and been divorced by Nate’s mother. Now the church had about a
  10. Well, they're not that related. All three boys screwed up. Nate cheated on Luke with Dustin too. That's part of the fun I've had with this one, everybody's screwed up except Brett, and maybe Billy. (Just don't fuckin' touch him, for the love of God!)
  11. Sometimes they do!
  12. Trouble afoot!
  13. Thank you! I don't know why I excel at writing the asshole characters. A good story needs a good villain!
  14. It's a rough time for SLD. But help sometimes comes from unexpected places.
  15. I don't think anyone will miss Luke. Even Sarah had some redeeming qualities.
  16. As long as we can keep Dustin away from any weapons. Is there anything scarier than Dustin with a gun? Maybe Mr. Johnston with a shotgun...
  17. Thanks! It was sad to see the end of Luke and Nate... No wait, it wasn't sad at all! lol
  18. Dustin arrived at the viewing for Joey on Sunday evening planning to simply pay his respects and slip away unnoticed. It would be the first time he would see many of his classmates from high school since the day he graduated. He still hadn’t bothered to shave, and he didn’t even care. He felt like there was a tight knot in the pit of his belly. The parking lot was full of cars, and the line into the funeral home stretched all the way out the door. The conversations Dustin overheard dw
  19. So the latest "Halloween" movie decided to forget about every other sequel and serve as a direct sequel to only the events of the first Halloween movie. It made me wonder, what would a distant sequel to the original Star Wars movie look like if we totally ditched every other sequel. No Empire Strikes Back, no "I am your father," no prequel trilogy. No Yoda or Jar-Jar. No "Luke and Leia are twins." Just a random kid who fired a "one in a million" shot and blew up the Death Star. What would a movie like that look like? Would you want to see it?
  20. The twists and turns of the BBD triangle! The very thing (person) that Brett and Dustin fought over for years was the thing that brought them together. (And in typical Billy-fashion, he was oblivious to the whole thing.) And yet, they want to be friends on their own terms, and not because Billy wants them to get along. And don't miss the moment toward the ending! Dustin finally let go of Billy. And he could do it, at long last, because he finally has come to respect and appreciate Brett. That may be the defining moment of the whole story! Will he finally allow himself to love, now that he's not trying to hold on to something that could never be?
  21. Thanks! Watching the development of the Brett-Dustin feud turning into what it has become is one of the best things about the whole story for me.
  22. He's both disturbed and thrilled by the dreams, isn't he?
  23. But there are so many jackasses in this story!
  24. “Hand me that fucking wrench, you lazy piece of shit,” Dustin’s dad ordered. Dustin quickly grabbed the tool and handed it to his father as he worked under the car. “No, you fucking idiot! Not this wrench! You worthless, useless piece of garbage! How did you get so goddamn stupid?” Frank bellowed angrily. “Sorry,” Dustin replied, taking the wrench back from his father. Then he calmly kicked the jack out from under the car, crushing his father beneath the vehicle
  25. Well, Luke is an asshat, that's for sure. I think this chapter was the real family reunion.
