Everyone is getting bombarded all the time with information and signals, it's easy to miss one and if that's only signal, than it can fall behind on the attenion not from lack of interest, but just due to the flow of information. I’m sorry you’re feeling that way. It’s hard not to take it personally when you put so much of yourself into your work, and the visible response seems to shrink. For what it’s worth, I don’t think a drop in views automatically means a drop in value, or even a drop in appreciation. There are a lot of factors affecting visibility right now, including changes to Mature access and the fact that newer stories simply haven’t had as much time to build readership as older ones. As we noted in the thread, some past view counts included bot traffic that is no longer getting through, so at least part of the difference is in the numbers themselves, not just reader interest. You’ve still built a body of work people care about, and that doesn’t disappear because newer pieces start more quietly. Sometimes readers are slower to find a story, slower to catch up, or slower to comment than we’d like. That can be discouraging, but it doesn’t mean the art isn’t landing. I’m glad you said you’ll persist, because that matters too. A lot of us know the feeling you’re describing, and I hope you’ll keep going. Your heart being in the work still comes through, and that’s exactly the kind of thing readers remember, even when they’re quiet.
