Yes, I meant appalled. I'm still alive and still writing, but I am being evicted because the owner wants to sell. I don't want to move. Not again. That and the first of the month I buried Daniel. I was depressed. Still am, but that's not me. Every time I move I get farther away from Charleston. Moncks Corner is where.

No, I'm not as manic as I was. There will be many mistakes, but I'm not as desperate to keep Daniel here as I used to be. This month I suffered from depression and it wasn't me. Daniel's death was horrible and I realized it the anniversary of that death! I'm dense. I remembered subconsciously, but... My writing has calmed down. I have calmed down. I still live and I will still write.

You know it!! 🐕 Attack of the Killer Beagle! Miss Scarlett was the only one I got to act mean and vicious on command. (The problem with that is; as soon as she stopped, the tongue would come out and the classic beagle smile came back, the tail would be going again. She wanted to it right.

Thor's Law Thor was proving to be a delight to have around. His actions with the ball made us all laugh. His attempts at behaving like a big dog made what was cute even cuter. The horrible moments in the past seemed to have been forgotten. The behavior was predictable. A dog can dream. I’ve seen a few times with my cousin Jacy’s dog when the legs would twitch and Duke would sometimes let out a muffled “woof” that said he was barking at something he saw. It was that r

The Mighty Thor The palace was beautifully decorated. There the pungent sweet, woodsy smell of pine I instantly associate with Christmas. I decorated Aunt Benedikte’s house. So did Vincent. Okay, the house staff helped us. I asked them, “It’s Christmas! You know, once a year? The dust won’t kill you to leave it there one more day, you can sweep, polish and all that.” I said happily. “Christmas! Jul? Kommer en gang om året. Vi holder fest!” I said in Danish, telling them Chr

Mark, the Past and the Stroke
R. Eric commented on R. Eric's story chapter in Mark, the Past and the Stroke
The computer did NOT post my text I replied. How dare GA's computer not liking what wrote. Who said he could judge? I first text: I am so sorry and we feel each other's pain. Just before I met Daniel in church, the first chapter of North meets South: Worlds Collide is absolutely true. I was with Tedd when it happened. Yes, two Ds. He is included in that story. I put his Guilt Care in this story I got from him. Manic-Aggressive, that was my diagnosis. Manic he was fun and I loved him. Aggressive he was a pissed of Grizzly I didn't love. I was going to leave him. He was gay! But don't let anybody see us do anything like kiss or hold hands. Even kiss in the house, neighbors might see. Seventeen months later I did leave him. And I went to the MCC in North Charleston and you know what happened when Daniel (not Tony) refused to scoot over! -
Mark, the Past and the Stroke I exited the stage and I had an hour or so before I sang again. It was 11:40pm and it would the new year when I did. I walked toward my two favorite people who were smiling at me as I approached. Suddenly, there were three more coming in the area. Thick coats on for the cold, but their caps were off to show who they were to security. “Listen to the crowd!” Mark said waving an arm toward the crowd outside. He had a bottle in his h

Family Matters Christmas Day came and we were at the church when the day came. It was interesting how this day evolved. This was a Christian country, yet it was interesting how many pagan traditions had mingled with a religious day. Really, many of the customs and traditions came from all over the area. In Denmark, Jul or Yule had been celebrated a while. The Christmas Tree! That came from Germany…so I was told. It was a tradition to dance around the Juletræet, the Christmas Tree. Th

Elton, Mercury and LIBERACE!!!
R. Eric commented on R. Eric's story chapter in Elton, Mercury and LIBERACE!!!
Oops! Carman. I had Carmine on my mind. I just had a calzone at the time. (That's pronounced calzon ne. The E is not silent, but I added one that wasn't even there.) The Italian just came out. -
Elton, Mercury and LIBERACE!!!
R. Eric commented on R. Eric's story chapter in Elton, Mercury and LIBERACE!!!
You're welcome. Oh, and it may have been in your head, but it was also in mine. I started with the piano, but left it after two years. HOWEVER, I played the violin from the fourth grade and through college. My "sister" was the pianist. I put quotation marks because she wasn't really. Bad news, that's what she was, but that's another story. Actually, I wrote about her in several stories. Preachers' Sons, Perfect Son...others I just cut her out. Preachers' Sons wasn't a lie, except for giving us her child, it was all true about her. But she was a talented pianist. She was our churches pianist at twelve! I am proud of that, but...not her. We have a lot in common, you and I. We see what others miss or can't notice. Fake musicians bug the Hell out of me. Lori singer really played the cello in the TV series "Fame." Or at least she knew enough to have the fingering and the bowing to fool me. (That's the real instrument I wanted. "We'll see if you take to this." Mom says. Then after a couple of years. "You've played so long, you can't quit now!" (Sigh) Singing I did! I loved it! I was asked many times to come and perform. I met Steve Green and tried some of his songs and Carman. I really do love Ray Boltz. A lot of what I wrote is very true. I can't get through some of their songs without crying. Now, go wake hubby up and tell him! You're talented person and he doesn't appreciate you enough! Eric -
Elton, Mercury and Liberace! “I’m in Time Square,” A long and thick coated Ryan began holding the one ear he didn’t have an earpiece monitor in. Behind him were dozens of people behind a waist-high barrier, dressed in coats, thick scarves, mitten-wearing and various kinds of stocking caps and hats all waving at the camera. Some just cheered, you saw a couple say “Hi, Mom” loud. “It is pandemonium here tonight as we get ready to usher in the New Year. This is another year for Di

(I am not angry or bothered at all!) Oh, yes. I knew there would be errors. It is said, "if you don't use it, you'll lose it." Dansk is not easy. I am not a Viking. I love Vikings!! I love Denmark , Norway , Sweden . All the others! Russians, Ukrainians, Germans...I don't care about the skin color or ethnicity. Okay, I love everybody. Can you imagine trying to remember sentence structure, where to put the noun (subject) with the right verb? (action) Adjectives, adverbs....and I will spare you what I think about Russian!! Their alphabet!?!? Letters that have no sound but are part of a word!? What!?!? I love the Human Race!! I love languages. I want to learn everything about everybody. I recon you know English. Or do you? I am a native Southern United States country boy. Proud of it! I want to taste my way around the world and try everything! Ain't no one gonna come here and sound like a good ol' boy. Love ya!!

Thank you!! I was starting to worry. I showered, I don't think I smell bad. No one said anything!! (Sniff) Yes, the pits have that Axe Phoenix fresh smell. Macho and all that shit. It's not me, so...

Well, I hope your satisfied! You got me thinking. (I hate that.) My first thought was the usual sarcasm. "Oooh, well touch you!" However, it did cause me to stop and have to think. I bow to the real Queen of England, Queen Elton, and I bow to the Queen of the group Queen. And I will bow to the American Queen Liberace! I just remember him surrounded by all those Fag Hags!! (Did they call them Fag Hags back then? Did they know they were Fag Hags?) I've traveled a long, long way from where I started. A full one hundred and eighty degrees turn and I'm tired! Yes! I thought I was one of maybe a few in the entire world! If I can reach people and tell them I'm not bizarre, deviant or just evil I can sleep at night. Neither is anybody else!! My father was a Southern Baptist Preacher and very conservative. And very ignorant. But I'm here!! When I first saw a man kiss a man, it freaked me out!! Now, I see a good looking man kiss a girl and my mind asks, "Why is he kissing her!?" Hell, the not so good looking men, too. I know, nature and continuing the species and all that, blah, blah, blah. Don't be surprised if you see something like this in the next chapter of "I've Always Loved You." I applaud Liberace for finding a way to be himself. Good ol' Salt of the Earth Liberace. You did this!

Part of a Family Beverly and I did dance again. As I explained, Percival was a nice man and he loved his wife. He just could not dance! I remembered being a lot smaller watching the adults dance at parties. Just because we lived in a part of the world that was somewhat remote, we weren’t totally cut off. There were often parties. Those hired hands may had a difficult time reading, but they knew how to enjoy themselves. It was part of being human! We had music! A couple of hands playe

Elton John? Sure. Mercury? Maybe. Liberace? No way!! All were and are super talented, but...no. Only when Liberace was Chandell on the Batman series in the 1960s did I like him. Campy, but he was Chandell and his evil twin Harry who was blackmailing his brother. That was one of the highest rated episodes!! Good stuff, Maynard!!

1893 is the year for the world I created. His Highness Prince Vincent is Denmark's Crown Prince. I created a royal family in Denmark. There will be facts you will know are fiction. However, I tried to keep it as historically accurate as possible. My Danish is flawed, I know. I know about the Dannebrog. Some changes were to make it plausible. Still, love between my characters is the story. I have a friend that is from Denmark, too. I can always do with another. Prøv det. Du vil måske kunne lide det.

This is a late reply, but I have to say something. Gabrielle wasn't the target. Colin was. Brett knew Colin was a vampire and still around. He bit Gabrielle to send a message to Colin. He was going to destroy Colin Wentworth and all he had. In 1851, women didn't have that much power. She didn't know Brett. She didn't need to. Gabrielle was smart, but a young girl. Her father's friends, business men and even enemies were not in her life. She was a victim, yes, but she was not the target.

New Year's Eve Part Four In spite of the not having the sweet ice tea, Carmine’s was nice! Heather’s ex-cousin-in-law didn’t just stash us away and forget about us. Again, this was a busy time for the city. Did we deserve special treatment? Some thought yes. We were people who did things so well, we brought attention to ourselves. That was partially true. Heather, Tom and I told stories. We did it so well, that people wanted to hear more. I did it to music and actions

It's the same old message. Ignorance is the cause of trouble. Ignorance is combatted and cured through education. The people that have no problem with them are educated. Beverly has an almost Sherlock Holmes sort of perception and can see more that most take time to understand. I'm not just talking about education in school. There are many with PhD's that are ignorant.

Friends The voyage back to Copenhagen wasn’t eventful. There was no big hurry and we were both very relaxed. At least for me. I was more relaxed than when we had going to Oslo. I now knew Angelica and liked her. She had shown herself to be intelligent and willing to do what had to be done to fulfill her duty helped me to stop worrying. It was too cold on the deck, so we were in the passenger cabin to get out of the cold, damp wind. The cabin was heated by ano

Yes. The story never ends, I have two I'm doing now. Now that you planted that seed, it will probably happen.

New Year's Eve Part Three I smiled at Tom and Heather, “Take those coats off and make yourselves comfortable.” They did just that, slipping their coats off and walked into the living area. “I hope you didn’t tear yourselves away from a family gathering.” “No,” Tom shook his head. “If anything, I thank you for giving us an excuse to leave!” He sat on the sofa with Heather. “I love my family.” He began defending what he was going to say next, “I do, but it

Getting Ready for Parenthood
R. Eric commented on R. Eric's story chapter in Getting Ready for Parenthood
There you go! Reckoning again. You should leave that to the professional hicks. I love you, Mister, but I'm going to bed. I stayed up last night.
