  1. Things were very busy after that. Dragon went to get Nicolae and his wife and have them ready to go. I dealt with Iustina and Repetate. As always, they smiled at me as I entered their cell. Perhaps Colin was right, they did like me more than other people. I had quit using the translator with them because they seemed to understand what I was saying…is was less about the language, but the tone and how I said it. I brought up the laptop making their eyes light up. “Yes, we’ll see some more cart
  2. Sorin looked puzzled. “I said something wrong?” I grinned at Sorin. “Not at all!” I smiled slapping him lightly on the back. “We, the very few…appreciate good cinema and a good story.” I frowned at Gabriella and my mother. “Sometimes it’s not appreciated by some…less enlightened individuals.” Stan came in the room but was carrying a tablet he studied as he walked, but had a near blank stare as he was looking at what he was reading. “Earth to Stan,” Mark said lightly to his partner bu
  3. Dr. Petran stayed with Dragon and George as Dragon endured the pain. I’d seen a lot of people suffer as they took the serum, there was no need for me to see it again. However, I also noted that Sorin was grimacing as Dragon suffered and walked out of the chamber. He was the police and I knew he’d seen worse things than this…I imagined. Sorin was mature with a little grey in his hair, but I think his gruff demeanor was more for show and to threaten criminals…the human kind. I followed Sorin as
  4. Sorin was looking at Dr. Petran as if to question her sanity. “You believe this!?” He asked her in disbelief. Dr. Petran cocked her head at him. “Give me another explanation.” She said quickly. “I’m a doctor, Sorin. I’m not some silly little girl afraid of vampires. There is something in their systems I couldn’t explain. When they told me, I had a hard time believing them.” She waved at Dragon and the others there. “They are vampires. Surely you see that.” Sorin was like Dr. Petran and m

Dr. Petran didn’t even look shocked. Perhaps like many here in this part of the world, knowing about the reality of vampires was accepted, just not spoken about so openly. “You become vampires.” Like with many others, it wasn’t a question. I saw her face and saw she was still struggling with it. “Take your time,” I said smiling. “We get this sort of reaction in every country.” “You were out in the day time when you were attacked.” She said, still working it out in her mind. “You were inj
  6. “What did you do?” Dragon asked still concentrating on the gold cross, but was still not quite…comfortable holding it. He gave it back to me. I smiled at Dragon. “I did what I believed you could not argue with. I showed you…you’re not evil.” Gaius was marveling over being able to touch the cross. “Before, it did burn.” I looked at Gaius. “You saw it coming?” “Yes.” Gaius nodded. “It burned because you believed it would burn.” I shrugged. “You made it burn. You did, not God.”
  7. The response to Dragon’s video broadcast was immediate. In just a few days we started getting messages from all over the world. Dragon’s hypnotic voice carried and was just as potent as if he was standing right in front of them. We stood over Stan’s shoulder as the others were gathering to share what they found that night. Stan began feeling the weight of all the requests and messages coming in. “I need help! Look at the number messages!” He said after he saw the volume of messages coming in
  8. The weather was changing as it was going to be autumn soon and it was cooler at night now. Then again, my view of this part of the world was a little…well, a cave is a cave. I saw Egypt, mostly underground. I did see a lot of England, but Transylvania I saw mostly underground. The part of this underground world was like the others…carved out from centuries of habitation. Passageways were widen, floors were leveled out and torches burned to light the way. The seasonal changes could be felt outsid
  9. I was concerned about Dragon. I told Gaius that as long as he had remorse and regret about what he’d done, he had something to come back to. Meaning, he was still human and just needed closure. Dragon, or so it seemed, had no problem with what he’d done in past. Well, that just seemed right to me since he refused to be called by his own name because of what he’d done. He did have a very dark personality…kind of. I sensed a lot of brooding in him. Yet, he seemed to be capable of making friends an
  10. Dragon grinned as he watched Repetate and Iustina was so caught up in the fact that I was saying something, yet heard what they understood from my translator. I heard him comment to Colin. “Amasis was correct. Your husband does have compassion for all creatures.” He waved at the two Old Ones. “Even them.” Colin nodded. “He does. He’s almost reckless sometimes, but he can also get through to almost anyone. He’s trusted.” Dragon looked again at the computer but wasn’t scared to touch it no
  11. Dragon shook his head. “I don’t understand. Why does he protect these…things?” He asked Amasis as he waved at the Old Ones. Amasis smiled and nodded. “Devon is a unique person. He has compassion for everyone.” He waved at the Old Ones, “including these creatures.” “But they aren’t human.” Dragon said. As a vampire, I had acute hearing and I walked over. “Yes, they are. George told you, there were creatures made for men using something to change them into something they can use. Their

    Connect and Love

Actually, I can answer that. Daniel and I met and it was as I said it was. It's like we were meant to be together. He wouldn't let up on me and I didn't let up on him. It was a good friend of ours, a real estate agent that pointed it out to me. (She made a lot of money off the two of us) She said we should be on TV because we were hilarious! I had written before, but never about the two of us. It just sort of...came! I miss Daniel. That's why I wrote so much after he died. I tried to keep him alive for me. It's silly, but it did, for a while. I loved Daniel more than I can tell you in words. He was a funny man and he loved me. I am Mitch, Daniel is Tony. We were...rare.
  13. “You said if Lucian told the truth,” Colin said. “What has Lucian said to this Dragon?” Gaius shrugged. “I can only guess, but Lucian doesn’t see what we are as a curse. To him, it’s a blessing.” “It is no blessing,” George said. “Not from any god, at least.” Gaius nodded. “Not to you, but to Lucian, it is.” He sighed. “In his past, he was not…well…he was pushed around by others who were bigger, stronger and in more power. Sometimes they were all of the above. When he was bitten, th
  14. We went the next evening to the bunker to meet with Gaius. The writers about Transylvania weren’t wrong when they wrote about the dark forests. Even though it was summer, it was a little cold as we went through the foliage thick trees. There were times I felt we were being followed. I’m the first to say I have a vivid imagination, but I could swear someone…or something was following us. The fact was I knew there were wolves here didn't help, but I kept myself in check. A man alone might face pro
  15. It was after Colin and I went to our bedroom I confronted him. “Are you worried about Christian?” “Yes!” Colin said and grabbed my arms. “Honey, I love you. I’m not worried that he could steal you from me, I’m worried that he may not be as innocent as you think.” I nodded. “Okay, I respect that, but you can’t admit that he might be just what he claims to be?” “Can you admit that he could be really a bad idea? Maybe, he is just…bad?” Colin asked simply. I shook my head. “I don’t f
  16. It was just a moment of time before Christian let me go from the hug. I noticed that Colin had stiffened looking very worried as we had hugged. I broke away a little from Christian. “I can’t absolve you any sins, Christian. I can promise I’ll be around.” Colin came over a little quicker than he would have, but hopefully to stop…whatever…who was I kidding? Christian read signs people couldn’t imagine, so he probably knew what Colin was doing. Christian chuckled. “You husband is concerned
  17. I threw my hands out in frustration and this man…claiming to be Dracula raised a single eyebrow. “Mister Articulate strikes again.” I moaned. I noticed this…whoever he claimed he was, wasn’t bothered by it. The corner of his mouth turned us slightly as if it amused him. The man that said he was Christian walked forward a little. “Now, why would you say that what I said was…bullshit?” Christian folded his arms over his chest. “You didn’t even hesitate. You simply said yes.” He waved at hi
  18. We ended the night…well, it was practically sunup when we got back to our house. We had told Eva we wouldn’t be up for breakfast and to not worry about making anything. Sliding into bed that night, Colin pulled me close, resting his head against mine. He smiled as he let out a breath. “This evening was…” he didn’t say anything for a few seconds. I chuckled. “Unexpected?” Colin laughed. “It was that.” Looking in his emerald eyes, I kissed him gently. “Tonight was interesting. I ne

After our meal, we got ready to go out on the town. This was my first exposure to a true European village, I thought. Because of that, I thought there weren’t going to be the flashy buildings and lights being one of the things of in a modern city or town. There really weren’t that many, but there were a couple of places we heard when we walked the streets. I knew there was more to this village than just being famous for that one vampire. What I found amusing was when we were getting ready, I fou
  20. The flight was a long one. We did stop for refueling. We weren’t a big plane. Well, it was not the size of one of those big passenger planes, but it was bigger than most there. We landed at the Targu Mures Airport which was a smaller airport just north of Sighisoara in the morning. So, we had no problems. There was one person that met us at the airport from customs. We had to show our passports, but when he saw what we brought into Romania, all documented with paperwork for both equipment and me
  21. I chuckled and nodded. “Dracula was after your time. He is the most famous vampire that really made an impact with the 20th and 21st Centuries.” I quickly told him about the novel and movies that came from the story and embellishments on the theme. Amasis had more questions, but I just took his hand. “I’ll get you the book, but know this story and others shaped our fear of vampires. Many contain the magic we are supposed to have and that power we are supposed to have in us.” “I don’t read En
  22. We did just what Colin said we’d do. I don’t know how you deal with having suddenly nothing to do, but make love; which I thoroughly enjoyed, but I really did have a little issue with having nothing to do. I loved Colin, so spending time with him was great. Loving him was wonderful. The problem was we had nowhere to be and no set time to be there except when it was time to leave, but that was two weeks away! I fought the feeling that I had to be somewhere at a certain time. Some habits are hard

    A Blue Wedding

Yes, you have to wait. I'm writing it now. Real life will interrupt, but it's on the way. The new book, Blueblood 4 will be...well...you'll see.
  25. The wedding was beginning. I am sorry, it was pretty, but some of us weren’t that…motivated to be that fabulous! Here it is, it was happening in the yard. There were ribbons and it was blue and white. Not the rosy pink for most weddings. What I didn’t expect were the roses, because they weren’t pink or red. They were blue. Yes, we had blue roses with white roses. Later I’d find out how she did it. There were other roses that were white, so that made the blue in the other roses easier to see. The
