I was ten before I realized, being a preacher's son, I could say more than DARN and not burn for eternity. The real Sasha, and there is a real Sasha, just needed to know what people were saying to him. In the process, he told me what it was in Russian. I showed Christian the note. “Our past?” Christian frowned shaking his head. “But it mentions Ella. Which is it? My past? Her past? Our past?” I grinned sadly. “That’s the question. But the note does take the foreign question out.” I shook my head. “Whatever threat there is, it’s here in A’Dore.” Seth nodded. “But you’d better tell Ella. Not in Charleston. TSA is strict, but if you're willing to go through security, they let you meet a plane and it's passengers. Of course this was almost a decade ago when it happened. I've not done it but a few times.

I found out about some discontinued letters from their alphabet. I wondered how anyone typed on any keyboard with the Cyrillic Alphabet. But it's still alien.

A Catholic funeral was new for me, but I went as I should. I knew from history and other sources that…gone were the sermons in Latin and now the priests were saying what was necessary in English.
