tim, this is a thought-provoking poem. The use of the words to paint a visual of a person, walking in a dark maze of their own mind, is stunning. The fleeting scraps of memory of departed friends, loved ones, ex-partners, or even those that weren't so good to us, sent chills down my spine. For me, it reminds me of my first boyfriend and true love.

Don, Louis, and Max are my favorites from your stories. 🙂 Yeah, my last class' professor brought that one up, in a discussion I started about the difference between academic and creative writing. I call Bullshyte on it. I have my favs.

The one thing, that lots of people forget, myself included, is that when you read those stories, is to remember the era it was written. While we might find the words not acceptable, they were back then. So, instead of getting offended, we should be looking at it as a history lesson. Like what you and your classmates experienced.

Also, it's not just Gay Romance. It's across the whole spectrum of writing. Take Mark Twain's Huckleberry Finn, for example. Published in UK 1884/US 1885, and it's loaded with stuff that more sensitive readers would be appalled at. Chiefly, the use of the "N" word. There are other examples, but that one comes to mind first.

Writing changes with the era. We're living in a more tolerant society (in some places), and seeing a lot of Gay Romance stories are usually teenagers to young adults, then yeah, it's going to be a brighter world for them. I would say, a good gay romance that would be awesome to read is the 35+ crowd, who went through darker times and base their lives on that, interacting with the new more tolerant world.

You know... I thought it was cool I found a model that reminded me of Jeremy. I thought it was cool that he's doing stuff that I've written and plan to do in my stories. I even though it was awesome, that he was in a behind the scenes travel pic with 3 other models, that I had been using for three other characters. However, my mind is totally blown away now. The models I choose for Jeremy and Travis, boyfriends in my stories, is now in a series of pics together for an "artistic" shoot for a French publication. Both posed and behind the scenes shots. In various states of dress and undressed. Mind Fraking Blown! They say authors shouldn't have favorite characters in their stories. I do. Jeremy and Travis are my favs, followed by Adam, Duncan, and Robert.

One Little Snowflake - Full Story

Thanks, miss molly, for reading and commenting. I almost didn't put the callsigns in but felt it needed a bit of humor. When I was in Scouts one of our Scoutmasters was a Major at CentCom at MacDill AFB. We had a meet and greet once with an F-16 Pilot, and he told us about the callsign bit. His was Skippy... -
I hope you feel better, miss molly. I was listening to some of Lindsey's Christmas music (see the Christmas thread in the lounge, I posted one of hers with a collab with Amanda Carpenter) this morning and one of the songs that YouTube popped up was that. I've seen it before but forgot about it. Then I remembered we were talking about Skyrim, and well, I thought you guys would like it. Lindsey is by far one of the best Violinist I have ever heard. She does this one with the Four Tenors, a remix of Queen's Who wants to live forever, and it's pure excellence. I posted that in the Current Song thread in the lounge this morning. Peter Hollens is awesome. Almost all of his music is done by just his voice, and about a hundred or so overlapping tracks. He has a ton of songs on his channel.

Isn't that a good thing? You mentioned once, you need to put some weight on. We keep a pitcher here for the kids when they come over. I'll sip some every now and then. We can pretty much get it anywhere, but you have to take whatever flavors they have. Most of the time, it's some nasty-shyte, like Watermelon and then some basic loke Cherry, Grape, and Orange. Dinner Prep is done, and it's in the oven. Sides don't need to go on for fifteen minutes.

About to start cooking soon, we eat early here for dinner because my Uncle prefers dinner at 4:00 pm. He got used to it when he was cooking for 20 peeps ever night, mostly school kids. So, I will bid you all a good afternoon, and I will see you all later.

That she does. We'll be in the 80'sF over the weekend, and then we dip again sometime next week.
