The last of the med gel washed out of his fur. Sasha shook his body, running his fingers through the softening fur to make sure the liquid from the tank was gone. He didn’t want to spread any of it through the house. It was bad enough that the cloying smell of warm vanilla seemed stuck to his fur, invading his nose with every inhalation. A third of a bell in the shower had him clean, 40 breaths seeing him back in a uniform clean from blood. Taking a breath to steel himself, Sasha walked out

JASON The neko sprinted across the field, throwing his arms around Devyn. Careful to support his brother, Jason buried his face in the werewolf’s chest, squeezing Devyn in his arms. “I’m so proud of you,” the neko’s phone said from his pocket. “But I didn’t win,” Devyn frowned, his nose inches from Jason’s hair. Jason’s ears twitched as hot breath washed over them. Stepping back carefully, he shoved a peeled banana at the wolf and pulled out his phone. “You did wi

He couldn’t sleep without the fox. Galen wasn’t sure why, but having the other side of the bed empty just made him feel incomplete. He needed Reinard, needed the warmth of a body beside him. And there was only one way he knew of getting it. Grabbing a heavy coat, the tiger wrapped it around himself, listening to the rain pouring down on the island. He let out a quiet sigh, wondering just what he was doing. The porneo was nearly twenty islands away, there wouldn’t be any boats taking pa

Classical music played through his headphones as the neko stared at a screen. Tiny lines fluctuated with distorted signals, the cosmic radiation of the universe translated into visible signals that were recorded constantly. Watching them was tedious work, and there was little to no reward. Occasionally the radio would pick up a protoplanet in a nebulae, or rarely a pulsar, but Alex had long ago abandoned the thought of anything truly monumental happening during his watch. A sudden blip in t

I can't say I ever completed my medical degree (or even started one) but something tells me these two could absolutely use cuddles.

Yes, but at the same time, no. Reinard is the descendant of the original Reinard's brother, who bonded with their servant before his death.

“What is that on my son’s plate?” Sasha’s ears folded at the snarled question, his head bowed as he continued cutting Evžen’s food into bite sized pieces. Meat covered the young Lidikrys’ plate, mixed in with pickled cabbage and a small pile of mushrooms. A separate plate sat aside with a trio of strawberry dumplings glazed with grains of sugar. “Jahodové knedlíky, Pane,” the Faro replied. “I specifically said I wanted a healthy supper for my son.” “Yes, Pane.” “Are you

WULFRIN The gnome watched the fighter leave the camp, his face burning in rage. All she knew how to do was quit, and they were better off without her. “You’re being unfair to her,” Hope pointed out quietly. “Actually, both you and the writer are. She’s had a hard life. Is it too much to ask to be left in peace?” “It is when your path in life has already been determined,” Wulfrin growled, turning back to the food they had scrounged up with Ilyas’ help. “Keep that tone u

RAMIEL Abapad vanished around a corner, scouting ahead for the bloodied party. It was hard missing their main scout, and Ramiel begrudgingly agreed that they needed the amurrun back. Mentally the aasimar reached out, trying to touch the connection with the devil that he’d been assured he’d have by now. He came up short yet again, and Ramiel let out a snarl, following Abapad through the tunnels. The damned devil had lied to him about abilities he was supposed to have. “You t

DEVYN “Nice shoes Dev!” The wolf frowned as he lowered himself into the bus seat. Connor smirked at Devyn’s wedges from the seat in front of him, and it made Devyn wonder if he was being sarcastic or not. A swat from Brienne aimed at the human’s head helped with that. “Leave him alone. I think they look great on him,” the girl scolded. “Ow! Hey, I was being nice!” Connor protested as the bus rolled away from the school. Devyn grunted, leaning against the window. H

Reinard- The Pain of Abandonment
Yeoldebard commented on Yeoldebard's story chapter in Reinard- The Pain of Abandonment
The choices they've made are starting to add up. Turning around would have been so simple, and no one would have blamed him. But Reinard's stubbornness is not to be dismissed lightly. Even if Galen does show up, we have to wonder if Reinard would accept his intrusion on his self-forced loneliness. -
“Are you sure you want to do this?” Reinard shrugged helplessly, staring at his feet. His suitcase was packed beside him, the fox almost insulted at how fast Galen had packed it. As though the Egaro couldn’t wait to get rid of him. The tiger himself was missing, their goodbyes already said. Themis leaned against the door, not taking a step into the house. It was some weird tiger thing. Supposedly if she didn’t step into the house she wouldn’t have to eat Galen’s food. Reinard didn’t un

ELIAS Before his eyes, Yona fell once more, cut down by a murderous petitioner. The musket gleamed on the stranger’s shoulder, smoke billowing from the end, and Elias felt his grip tighten on the dagger in his hand. A deep painful breath, and the memory shifted. Cast out of Alkenstar for murder, with nothing more than a whispered name to guide him. The amurrun stumbled under dehydrating heat, not daring to lament the loss of his mother. Tears were precious here, liquid that coul

He had his orders as Bohdan’s slave. But Aleksander knew he was never meant to be Bohdan’s slave; he was Evžen’s. A fact he kept close to his heart as the Lidikrys led him down a flight of exterior cement stairs to the slave quarters of his new home. Stepping into a dimly lit corridor, Evžen opened a door, shoving the Faro through the entrance and Aleksander found himself in a small bathroom. A chipped metal tub sat in the corner of the room, faucets dripping into the basin. “Clean you

Black cloth covered marble foxes. Head bowed, hands clasped behind his back, Aleksander stood draped in itching clothes, waiting with his brothers for the master they’d been training to serve since they were born. 44 draks old, the litter of Faro had been born 28 draks before the third child of Clan Novák. Their first 27 draks of life had been uncertain; if the clan had failed to produce a third child, they would have been terminated. And yet they had received all the training necessary for

Terms related to time Breath- the shortest measure of time in the Empire, measured as the Lidikrys breathes. Forty breaths make up approximately one minute in Alliance time. Bell- A bell consists of 600 breaths. It is about 15 minutes long, and serves as an Imperial hour. Storm- 24 bells long, a storm is an Imperial day, about six hours long in Alliance time. Drak- The Imperial year. On a tidally locked planet, the inhabitants turn to the constellations for the measure

Most people drift through life searching for purpose. Aleksander had his given to him before he was even conceived. Born a slave on the Imperial home world of Země, Aleksander’s destiny is permanently entwined with that of Clan Novák's third son, Evžen. A spoiled noblerat’s pup, the young Lidikrys is far from the ideal master. Can Aleksander protect his master, and teach him to survive in a hostile universe?

Galen- Loving Departure
Yeoldebard commented on Yeoldebard's story chapter in Galen- Loving Departure
Sometimes you need some space to sort yourself out. Hopefully it won't be too much space in this instance. -
JASON The smell of dinner greeted him as Jason stepped inside. He could hear soft clicking coming from the kitchen, and Devyn nearly skidded around the corner of the kitchen, standing nearly five inches taller than when Jason had last seen him. Wedges clopped under his feet, but the wolf was standing on his own, and Jason beamed at the sight, just before his brother crashed into him. “You’re late…” the wolf whimpered. “Dad wanted you here at six so he could go.” Jason nodde

Abortion. It was the first option that came to mind. But Galen bit his tongue, knowing that to even suggest such a thing would kill Reinard. “No…” he sighed, shaking his head. “What the fuck am I going to do with you?” He stood up, pacing the length of the room as he thought. Fuck, this mistake just kept piling up. How long was he going to pay for getting too horny? “Is there any chance you’re wrong?” the tiger demanded. “I don’t know. My Egaran is not the best…” Reinard admi

I'd say somewhere around Ceos at this point. He's trying to get home as soon as possible.

Prince Consort Zaddis and King Finley are detailed in a short story/roleplay I did with a friend, The Neko and the Wolf.

DEVYN The wolf’s tongue played with his teeth, trying to dislodge a piece of food Jason had missed the night before. Flashes of pain shot through his mouth, always radiating out from a tooth on the bottom of his right cheek, and Devyn bit back a whimper as he pushed at the strand of food that seemed stuck around the tooth. He remembered something about his teeth rotting, a warning his mother always used against him, but the thought was ridiculous. His teeth had been cleaned dail

It was luck that saw Damian and Jordan get an apartment in Damian's Wolf. Nearly twenty years later, the space situation likely hasn't improved, especially since LJD are still living in the same two bedroom apartment with Dylan.
