There's nothing like a friend to help you feel better when you're sick

Khurtschono peered through the brush. His truck’s engine provided a comforting chugging, forever stuck at driving thirty kilometres per hour. Dim headlights kept the gathering gloom of evening at bay. The laws of the Ythin Desert gave a car that was perfect for new drivers to explore with. But here, in the dark woods of Astara, Khurtschono found himself wishing for better. These woods didn’t belong to him. He hadn’t even had a chance to explore as a wolf yet. There! Khurtschono turned down a

“Come on Fluffbutt, you got this!” Dylan’s cheeks puffed out as he pushed the bar above his chest. Connor kept his hands clear of the weights, cheering the neko on. The bench was angled more to work on the deltoids, something Connor was almost certain Dylan had neglected. The neko complained about his shoulders after running — well, his whole body actually, but Connor noticed he winced more when his arms moved. Throughout the gym, grunts and clangs echoed as the rest of the class worked on t

Hopefully the two aren't connected...

Soren stood under the warm shower. Stretching a leg out, he sighed in relief as his ankle popped. He’d already washed the lavender soap off — hopefully he wouldn’t get in trouble for using his own soap in here. It hadn’t clogged up his drains at home, so he doubted it would be bad at school. “You really do act like an aerafael.” Kurt chuckled behind him. “I haven’t seen anyone this comfortable with their body before.” “You’re aerafael,” Soren pointed out. “Why do you use the stalls?” “Oh,

It helps to have insight into the local security 😛

The key to any good crime was preparation. Luckily for Connor, he’d cased the scene of the crime extensively over the years. At least, he’d seen the security footage his mother had as the head of security for Riverview Meadows. And through that, he knew exactly where the cameras were placed. Connor strolled through the gate. He directed his feet toward the bus stop, fighting the urge to wave at a camera. Act natural. He was just going to school, not plotting anything. Ducking behind the bu

Yeah, there are some difficult times ahead.

Khurtschono swallowed his pill, grimacing at the minty aftertaste. Shaking the taste off, he stood up and blew out the candle flickering in front of Tareth’s altar. His obligations to the river god were finished for the morning. Stepping out of the small shrine, Khurtschono stretched. A quick swipe across his phone gave him his next task — the horse stalls needed to be mucked. A side note reminded him to give the horses a scoop of oats and make sure to fill the trough in the field. He trudge

He'll have to learn to wear clothes though

Sun shone down on bronze skin. Rivulets of blood dripped down Soren’s body as he waded through a blackberry bramble. He carried a basket full of berries, with a second basket waiting by the raspberry bush nearby. By the end of the morning, he’d have all the fruit he needed for the winter. Preserving the fruit would be a bit harder, but drying it over a couple of days should keep the flavours for most of the coming year. The vegetable garden was clear for the winter. Most of the food waited in

The things we do for... friendship? Hopefully he'll get a nice feast later

I'm glad you enjoyed it

Yeah, he's quickly becoming one of my favourite characters.

Connor spun through the large kitchen, juggling various pots and pans. Bacon sizzled on the range, with eggs cooking on a second burner. This was the last free weekend he’d have, and he was determined to enjoy his food. Next week, track meets started, and eating heavy meals filled with peppers would only hurt his running. Tight jeans hugged his body, and his shirt showed off his torso. It was a little risky running around like this. According to his parents, he was begging for a werewolf to no

Werewolf families are rather fun to write about

They met on the flagship after the raid. The general mood seemed mixed — many pilots were grumbling about the repair costs for their ships, and Elyon was raging at being knocked out before the mining had even started. But the thirty gold payment Khurtschono sent to each participating guild member shut down most complaints. That was more than enough for repairs, upgrades, and even enhanced gear. “Where the fuck did you get this money?” James demanded. “This wasn’t a mining raid,” Khurtschono

Thanks It's really just a mashup of various game themes and mechanics I think worked well. It's a lot easier to make a cool game when you don't have to worry about hardware lol.

“This is your house?” Soren nodded, flicking on a light. Dust still covered nearly every surface, and the mould on the room had grown nearly another centimetre. He wasn’t sure how to get rid of that — the internet kept bringing up cleaning supplies he couldn’t make from scratch, and there was no way he could buy them. There was no point in feeling ashamed. He did his best to keep the place clean when he had a chance. After this weekend, the house would be dust free, at least. It was better t

It's a mashup of various games I've played, but I've added a few things that I always thought would have made MMOs more fun. Glad you find it interesting

The First Day After School

She and I don't make a big deal about switching If you know, you know. If you don't, eh. -
Thanks. It's turning out to be a very slow burn, but things promise to speed up in the twenties

Connor dug through his bag one last time. Laptop, check. Chargers, check Spikes, check. He slipped in some extra change for the bus and a small snack for after practice. There wasn’t much more he needed. Slipping out of the bedroom, Connor grabbed a banana from the kitchen. “Heading out, Dad,” he said. “Have a good weekend,” River grunted from a leather recliner. His nose was buried in a thick book — one of his murder mysteries, by the look of the cover. “I try not to,” Connor joked. G

Soren leaned against the blue truck, scanning the car park. Two of the Chonos had already shown up — John was sitting in the back, nose-deep in another book, and Altanchono was bouncing off the tire. But there was no sign of Kurt. The last bell had rung nearly ten minutes ago. Soren would search the school for the neko, but he had no idea what class she had last. Hopefully, she hadn’t gotten lost. Cars filed out of the park, honking and revving as they added to a traffic jam just off school pr
