  1. Oathday 22 Gozran 4710 Linzi, sometimes you crack me up. Though I have to admit, having your leader talking to a dryad only he can see is rather unsettling. It didn’t take us long to find the abandoned hut. Kressle’s orders were rather specific on its location. There, I was treated to the sight of a druid abusing his child. What joy. I doubt anyone else saw it. Honestly, I’m getting tired of people pushing things into my mind. Well, one person in particular. Guardian, if yo

    Chapter 24

I have to admit some sorrow for Cait. Losing what I assume was her mate in such away... knowing the love of your life kicked the bucket is not the same as being complicit in his evil doing. Of course, I might have completely missed the mark there.
  3. Wealday 21 Gozran 4710 A week on the road already. I found the solution to our problem with rations. We walked through the night until we got back to Oleg’s. Yes, it was a little risky, but everyone was in good shape, and eager to sleep in a real bed again. We’ll stock up today before heading out again. Oleg came to me with another problem when we returned. It seems there is a boar the locals are calling Tuskgutter. He took a local hunter’s leg, and the man wants revenge. He’s p
  4. Toilday 20 Gozran 4710 Akiros Insmort. The Stag Lord’s right hand man. We learned much of you today. Not as prone to violence as some would believe. You asked us to leave the Stolen Lands in peace, pointing out that the Stag Lord has been collecting taxes peacefully until we showed up to disturb the peace. How is the bandit king any different than us? I don’t know what peace you were speaking of. Kressle’s little band was rather violent. Nonetheless, both you and Kressle seem re

    Chapter 64

To be fair, portalling into a place to gather secrets from a demon is probably not a good idea. Not only are you cheating said demon out of secrets, but his followers won't take kindly to being robbed either.
  6. Cassiel, Baron of Ellesmera The festivities were in full swing, Lady Jamandi Aldori seeming to spare no expense for the party honouring the heroes of the day. Cassiel let out a deep breath as he drank from a goblet, the wine from Galt filling his belly with a pleasant heat after nearly a month and a half of travel and fighting. The hard part was over supposedly; everyone assured him ruling a barony would come naturally to him. Yet somehow the half elf doubted that. He’d gotten a
  7. Starday 17 Gozran 4710 Our party set out a little late today. We’ll need to tighten up our rests. Amiri says she should be able to handle hunting, but she denied my offer of a bow from our stores. Apparently she likes to chase her prey down. It’s utterly ridiculous, but I’m not about to complain to someone who uses a sword as big as she is. That thing would be big on a giant. I’m starting to understand why Linzi is scared of her, but I really can’t argue with the results. When pointe
  8. He was lost in the maze. Even Anya couldn't figure out how to escape, and Jakun couldn't find any of the caretakers of the library. "This is it… near twenty four hours down here, and we're going to be stuck for the rest of our lives…" he murmured, staring blankly at a shelf made of bones. "And you're just going to give up? That easily? Come on Jakun. This is utter horse shit. You're willing to kill yourself to end Loran, but you won't walk a little to get out of this place?" Anya growled
  9. Fireday, 16 Gozran 4710 So much has happened today. Once again I end the day exhausted, but I must record what happened before I rest. We reached Oleg Leveton’s Trading Post early this morning, only to find the poor man being hounded by bandits. One of them even had the nerve to call out his wife Svetlana. I could just feel Amiri seething with barely constrained rage at the implication that they would take advantage of the poor woman. Even I had to take a moment to work through
  10. The Faro shivered as he removed the rest of his clothes, his eyes staring at Galen’s sizable length. From what he had seen, the tiger would be considered small in most Egaran circles. Yet to the fox, the Egaro’s rod was nearly as long as his calf. He had no idea how he was going to take it. “Easy Reinard. I don’t want inside you. I want you inside me,” Galen murmured, a hand reaching to stroke the fox. Reinard flinched slightly, before letting the tiger touch him, the warm, furry hand
  11. Oathday, 15 Gozran 4710 We are on the road, our party vastly reduced already by events beyond our control. What’s worse, I have somehow become the leader of this small band of adventurers. The night had already started off poorly, what with Keston rejecting my advances. Apparently he only likes ladies, despite being snubbed by one in the past. Oh well. Things only soured from there. I was awoken in the dead of night by none other than Linzi, a band of assassins having broke
  12. Depression is no joke. It can ruin the best of us. But Nareen seems to know what he's doing at least.

    A Beginning

Sort of. For those familiar with the Kingmaker adventure/game, it's already known that running a kingdom is the whole idea. For those who don't know, it becomes pretty obvious within a chapter or two. Besides, everyone knows that a barony is the reward for the adventure.
  14. Wealday 14 Gozran 4710 So begins a new chapter in the life of Cassiel. A new chapter, a new adventure, and a new party of characters to get used to. We have already been given our task by the Swordlord Jamandi Aldori, and what a task it is. Nothing less than the total supplication of one Stag Lord, and the lands he controls with an iron fist. The reward is suitably immense, one barony courtesy of Lady Jamandi herself. Though several of the adventurers have already started arguin
  15. Cassiel never wanted responsibility. He was always out for fun and adventure, But when his new party is attacked by assassins one night into their quest, he is forced to take a leading role. Theofrid has been all over the world in his 400 years. And all throughout his life, he has found one thing to be true. In a world of large people, gnomes have to stick together.

    Chapter 20

Thanks. After nearly fourteen years of practice, comments like these honestly lift my spirits ❤️
  18. The prisoners ate voraciously, Jeremy frowning at the sight. The world was hungry, and it made people desperate. He couldn't believe what they had told him. And as the caravan broke camp, the cleric tried to rationalize everything he had learned. The farming village had been attacked by two mages, burning everything to the ground and destroying the crops that had been stored for the winter. A halfling and a human, both unstoppable, arrows bouncing off their flesh, swords breaking against

    Chapter 20

I'd just like to note for future reference that Jerric is human. There has never been a case where an elf could use magic. But yeah, it's been a long, tough day, and it's not over yet.

    Chapter 20

DEVYN The thumps echoed through his head, rank fear pouring through his nose. Devyn raced out of his room, his ears low, his entire body ready for a fight. There was so much blood in the air, Jason’s scent mixing with the metallic tang, and Devyn’s heart plummeted faster than he could leap down the stairs. Letting out a loud whimper, the wolf barked frantically, crouching over his brother. His tongue licked at the neko’s mouth, trying to clean the gash in Jason’s lip. “Fuck

    Chapter 19

JASON “I need to head back to the shop and help Damian,” Jordan said as they approached the apartment. “Dylan, I think there are a few sandwiches left from Ordya if you want a snack.” “Didn’t Etul take those with him?” Dylan asked. “Not all of them,” Jordan frowned. “If there aren’t any, we should still have a few biscuits, but they might be stale.” “I can probably throw something together. You two up for a bit of cooking?” Dylan asked, glancing at Jason and Devyn.

    Chapter 62

It may not be true, but it is to Jakun, and that is what matters. Trading in secrets is not the most stable of currencies.
  23. A torch flickered in the dying light of dusk, Mythara guiding Jakun up to a large building. The cat felt an ominous shiver pass over him, looking up at a rampart of arrow loops and murder holes. Far from being a place of knowledge… this was a place for war… "Are you sure this is the right place?" he murmured, ears flicking at every sound, every breath or drip of water. "Positive. I have been here before," Mythara confirmed. He knocked on a heavy door, a wicket sliding back. "Who
  24. The oven beeped loudly as he finished the dinner. Galen turned the oven off, pulling the tray of brownies out. They smelled amazing, the tiger inhaling the sharply sweet scent with a small smile. Surely Reinard wouldn’t mind if he had a small piece. It had been years since he’d last had actual chocolate, It was time to treat himself a little. Cutting off a small piece of crumbling chocolate, the tiger bit into it, the minty taste of the chocolate exploding in his mouth, the perfect counter t

    Chapter 61

For someone who is so dedicated to keeping peace, he seems to be in the wrong profession.
