Good news, Riardin was tortured at Miranda's hands before being brutally murdered, so he definitely got what was coming to him. Zaddis' ending was sad, but he lived his best life, with the neko he loved. Such is the mage's curse, a candle burned out before its time.

Tbh, this chapter was posted early. This story is finished sadly; my friend and I couldn't bring ourselves to continue after Vincent's death. But you can see the aftermath of what happened in my other stories, most notably Brothers.

Finley awoke with a painful throb in the crook of his elbow, his mind a foggy mess. A quiet beep filled the room, a sterile smell making him want to sneeze, but if he did that, Finley had the feeling he’d be hurting even more. He was in a hospital? What happened? When did he get taken to a hospital? The last thing he remembered was remarking to Zaddis about the strange taste in his ham. His first thought was food poisoning… but that wouldn’t have been bad enough to see him into a hospital.

The news reached him slowly, rumours of rumours filtered through the gossip that flowed through the tavern. Vampires staked through the heart, piles of zombies burning in dark alleys. The war for Mechitar was on, and Jakun found he didn’t really care who won. Both Sadira and Gidane were awful people, and the sooner he was gone from the city, the better he would feel. But Anya had to come first. “Sir?” The amurrun held up a hand, still working out the last intricacies of a new summ

Galen stretched lazily, leaning back against a pillow. The living room was a strategic mess of pillows and blankets that made a surprisingly cozy den, and it was made all the better by the naked deer cuddling in the crook of his arm. Cuddling with Aedan was different than anything he’d done before. Sure, Galen had held the people he fucked, had even fallen asleep with them occasionally. But with the deer, there was no sex, or any expectation of sex. Just a couple of new friends resting toge

The neko sat in a tree outside the west wing of the palace, his eyes glancing every so often at a window. Six months… it felt so long. He hadn’t had a decent night’s sleep in all that time, forced to sleep on his own, both balcony and door guarded by Darius and Maia. He could see a camera poking out of a bush, but Finley didn’t even bat an eye any more. He was sick of it all. The cameras had ruined everything for him, and he would not give them what they wanted. Zaddis was supposed to

Zaddis had barely gotten back to his room as his father came storming in, almost purple in the face with anger. "What. Did. You. Do!?" Not waiting for an answer, he threw a shirt at the werewolf, and once it was on, grabbed him by the collar and marched him to the dining room where the queen sat reading the papers and drinking her morning tea. Or... at least she HAD been reading the paper... she was currently staring at two pages from different publications. Queen Erin loo

Morning came far too soon, Finley waking up early to an alarm in Zaddis’ pants. When the half elf left him to head back to his quarters, the neko found it impossible to go back to bed, and he got up, throwing on a set of light clothes. Later he knew he would have to return and put on his more regal clothing. The gods forbid he insult the nobles by not looking fancy enough. Opening the door out of his room, the neko found Maia looking at him with a knowing smile. “Couldn’t sleep without

CASSIEL “There,” Amiri said, pointing toward a strange footprint in the dirt. “Lightweight, he barely left tracks.” The barbarian took off quickly, following footprints in the mud that soon intersected with strange claw marks. The group followed close behind, Regongar scowling at Amiri. “Does anyone else think it’s weird that we just happened to come across the boy’s tracks along the river?” the half orc demanded “Not if he was raised properly. If he got lost, he would

The rest of the day passed uneventfully, save for the queen giving Finley a similar talk as Vincent, culminating in her reminding him to sleep well, and be up early and ready for court. For his part, Zaddis had slept the rest of the day in his wolf from before taking off to patrol the grounds after dark, secretly marking his territory at several spots Sleep well… it was easier said than done. Still, at least he had managed not to tuck tail so tightly around the queen again. She

Ah, that I was not aware of lol.

The illusion likely faded when they were caught, Zaddis not really having reason to keep it up at that point. And Vincent Lobos is the chief advisor to Queen Erin, a lord of Astara in his own right. Finley was only showing him the respect according to his station, a formality necessary for the occasion. Interesting enough, because of Vincent's position, Zaddis is also nobility, hence the Honourable Zaddis Lobos. Though nobility often changes when a new ruler ascends. It is not always hereditary any more.

Turning the final bend of the ride, Zaddis lifted his head and let out a low growl. At the entrance, the guard stood, arms crossed, tapping his foot. “You know him Zaddis?” Finley asked, ready to tumble out of the boat if necessary. “I mean, not that you know all the guards, but is he safe?” Not that jumping out of the boat was really going to help here. They were fucked, and Finley knew it. “I’m sorry, I’ll make sure I take the blame for this, okay?” Huffing de

Devyn has issues with his short term memory. At a certain point, if he can keep up with it, the signs would become more of a long term memory, but it will take a lot of work.

It is impossible to know what might happen with the story, but with luck everyone will turn out safely. And the wolf being a teacher... well, you are close, but not quite. I suppose it could have been written better.

DEVYN An alarm awoke the wolf early the next morning, Devyn crawling out of bed to start his day nearly an hour before usual. He needed to get breakfast started for Jason and himself. His phone lit up suddenly, a message flashing across the screen, and the wolf grunted, his fingers slowly working over the screen. “I’ll be by your place at eight.” Devyn sighed quietly, poking at letters to let the neko know he had seen the message. “o k c u 8” Tossing the phon

CASSIEL “Well this is a nice stretch of the horses’ legs,” Regongar smirked as they neared the location of Delgado’s house. Forest surrounded them, the entire area covered with shade against the early summer sun. The absence of birds was a little unnerving, but understandable, if a mage lived nearby. Fireballs exploding at random would not make for a very pleasant living experience for birds or people. Cassiel shrugged, dismounting from his horse. “You and Amiri take p

At this point, it's tradition. The world is three races and if one race decides they arent being represented properly, it would end badly.

Amnor Sen grunted as he pushed the barrel, his muscles straining at the weight. The wooden container held nearly eight hundred pounds of salted skate native to Nex, a delicacy elsewhere in the world. Thanks to Jeremy’s magic, he had ten minutes left to push the barrel up the gangplank and into the cargo hold before it returned to being fifteen hundred pounds in weight. The paladin took solace in the fact that the cleric was tackling his own burden, albeit a less heavy one. The elf wondered

They sat quietly through the rest of the ride, until the neko nudged the half elf gently. “We’re here,” he murmured, standing up. They got off the bus quickly, Fin’s spirits rising as he saw the park entrance. “So, what’s the plan here? Do you have any rides you want to go on?” he asked, grabbing Zaddis’ hand. Stretching a little as he looked around, the werewolf shrugged. "Honestly... it's been a long time since I've come here... they've got a bunch of new stuff.

“Well I can’t really go anywhere I’ll be recognised, so that kind of rules out most of my ideas,” Finley frowned, looking at Zaddis. “Have you ever been to Skypark? It’s run by the West Astaran pack, but it’s a pretty decent place for being wolf owned. I’ve been dying to get on one of the waterslides there. I know it’s a little late in the year, but they should still be open.” Zaddis shook his head in denial. "No, never been there... but don't worry... I think I can take care of

Morning came far too quickly, Zaddis sitting bleary eyed in his chair in the hallway. Checking his watch, he sighed and stood, knocking loudly on Finley's door. "Time to get up, your Highness... breakfast is in thirty..." His head was cleared of the effects of the cum now, the fuzziness replaced by a throbbing headache and an annoying boner that wouldn't go away. Sighing deeply, he leaned against the wall, waiting. Fin groaned loudly, his feet sliding out of the warm bed. H

Half an hour later he was still tossing and turning, sleep eluding him for a second night in a row. No matter how nice the bed was, he couldn’t seem to get comfortable. But he didn’t want to ask Zaddis for help again, that was just asking for trouble, especially if someone found out the wolf was sharing his bed. Fin could only imagine the scandal that would cause. Though maybe that would be enough for him to be sent back to the orphanage… he couldn’t risk it. Hearing Fin tossing and

I don't think he believes it, he's just respecting the fact that Fin doesn't really want to talk about it, especially if he's lying about it.
