Yes, it appears that the Colossus have a motive now, at least for their current invasion. Also, who knows what else Chris has in his disposal, considering he mastered both intangibility and invincibility, has nook technology and has a node extracted from Maria's own body. We'll see if Chris pulls something else from his sleeves as the Colossus invasion continues.

Hello, I'm sorry for the very late response. To answer your question, I'm currently working on other stories like Hero Wanted, Charming and its spinoff Once Upon a Time, and I don't have much motivation to continue this story unless I get a new idea to spice it up again. However, if you really like the romance aspect and the reimagining of Filipino mythology in Halo, I highly recommend the story Hero Wanted that has Maria, the gold and other Filipino things incorporated into that story as well. I'm sorry I can't continue this story right now, but hopefully it might be resurrected in the future and that you'll look into my other stories as well.

Waking up in a cold sweat, Noah looked around his small bedroom before realizing that it was just another nightmare. He sighed, both relieved and exhausted as he dropped his head back onto his pillow. Based in the Charming universe, Once Upon a Time is a collection of short stories inspired by the storytelling card game of the same name. For each short story, I incorporated five or more story cards and one ending card that are all selected at random. Each story includes elements of fairy tales in the modern world, romance between two men and a guaranteed happily ever after. The title of each short story will be the sentence of the ending card and the story cards will be listed at the end. Enjoy!

And thanks for your comment! And as a side note, the Colossus have not invaded the United States in three years, so the country has been overdue for another invasion. I do agree, though that it is very coincidental that a Colossus invasion is happening right when Ryan has to choose between either his father or Chris, but the reason why the Colossus started invading Earth is still a mystery and we'll just have to see if there is a connection with what's happening in the world to the Colossus invasion of Philadelphia.
