I remembered the moment when I was playing The Sims 2 and found out that I could have two male characters woohoo together and even marry. That was one of the best moments of my gaming experience which happened during middle school. I'm so happy the Sims series has become even more inclusive following the third and fourth installment. I also sometimes like to spice it up by having one of the Sims be an alien or robot and have them woohoo together haha!

I also loved Dorian from Dragon Age Inquisition. I flirted with him every chance I could and chose him to be in my party almost all the time haha! I played the beginning of Greedfall, and I really liked the gameplay so far. I actually want to romance Kurt, but unfortunately you can only romance him if you play a female character. Though Vasco isn't bad on the eyes either. And Coming Out on Top is great in terms of a visual novel. I mostly experienced it by watching Youtubers play the game which has a censored and uncensored version as well as an option to use protection or not 😆

Haha! I loved the way you described Freddy from being an asshole police officer to an ass bandit! And I'm glad you liked Rick's cowboy outfit which was porn worthy in my opinion. Also, the mystery behind the city slicker will be explained in the next chapter. Thank you again for commenting!
-
That would be awesome! And one has wonder what other fantasies Freddy has and if Rick could fulfill them as well. Time to ask the sister again haha!
-
What will she do when she discovers that her daughter's ex-boyfriend is also hooking up with her son? Kick him out of town, maybe? Haha!

I'm sure popcorn and drinks were passed around if any of the guests heard the ride happening on the third floor. 😆
-
Except this ride is for adults only haha!

Aaron is definitely on the nerdy side since Beth reveals that he likes board-game miniatures and creates his own with his 3D printer in earlier chapters. Nothing wrong with having an interest that deviates from societal norms. Thanks for the comment!

These men are indeed the best and proudly embrace their sexuality as they also embrace each other. Thanks again for your input!
-
And just like cowboys, the ride was rough and dirty haha.
-
Thanks for pointing that out. Even though I posted the first chapter way back last year, the later chapters are somewhat connected to today's discourse on police brutality and reform with Freddy being a police officer of course.

Thank you for telling me this! I use the "Read Aloud" feature on Microsoft Word. You're offered a choice of three voices, and that voice will read the story aloud. This feature helped me a lot with spotting errors before I post the finished chapter. However, even with this feature I still miss a couple or more errors if don't use it more than once.

I entered the bed and breakfast belonging to O’Leary, a three-story house that had rustic aesthetics with modern elements as well. I stopped at the front counter made of dark wood that was nestled against the stairs and tapped my hand on the service call bell. With a backpack slung over my shoulder that contained my clothes and some bathroom supplies, I waited patiently for someone to respond. I didn’t have to wait long since a moment later a man strode to the front counter with a smile on h

I always love playing video games that offer the player the ability to make their own decisions like the customization of their character’s appearance and skills. I especially love it when that choosability extends to romancing different characters. The best example I can think of right now is the video-game series called Mass Effect. I loved romancing Kaiden Alenko during the third game, and a fun fact is the face model for this character is an openly gay man. It’s a shame the player couldn’t romance him in the first game of trilogy if they played as a male Shepard. Rumors have been spreading that a remastered version of the trilogy is in the works. If that’s true, I hope they allow male Shepard to romance Kaiden at the very beginning because there is direct evidence that shows Kaiden and another character Ashley Williams could’ve been romanced regardless of Shepard’s gender. I’m really looking forward to playing Cyberpunk 2077 when it’s released on November. From what I watched and read, the game will allow players to romance characters of the same gender. You’re even allowed to choose who your character hookups with at the beginning of the game haha. I’m in desperate need for a video game that allows the player to have an in-depth, gay romance since other games that have this feature that I’ve played didn’t satisfy my romantic itch. Mass Effect as well as the Dragon Age series are great examples of romance done right, with other games like Fallout 4 and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey feeling like it was more of an afterthought than an integral part of the game. Do you know of any video-game romances that you remembered and loved, particularly in the LGBT department?

Haha! I'm glad you found that line of dialogue hilarious. With that said, it is unfortunately that Freddy's mother thinks so negatively about his sexuality, considering they used to be close years ago before they moved to Beckett. Now the tables have turned and Freddy's father has taken the opportunity to be the supportive parent. Hopefully, she sees the light soon and accepts her son again. Thank you again for your comments since they're very enjoyable to read. I hope you have fun during this Fourth of July and stay safe. 🏳️🌈

Definitely a situation that is more common than we'd like to believe is all I'll say.
-
Well, small towns like Beckett have the tendency of not being as openminded as their big-city counterpart with everyone knowing everybody's business only increasing whatever drama that's spreading like a wildfire. So, it is understandable for Beth at least to feel that marriage is necessary to avoid drama with not only her future husband's parents, but with the town as well. Then again, they're adults and postponing the wedding would be the more mature decision which would allow them time to fully comprehend the situation. At least Freddy appears to be the more mature one, a great contrast to how he was depicted at the beginning of the story. Anyways, thank you for the comment! The plot will thicken even more as the story continues.
-
Hopefully Beth is making the right decision in the end. She deserves to be happy with a man she wants to spend the rest of her life with and a child on the way.
-
Yes, so much drama! And considering this story is set in a small town, the drama is amplified at least twofold. Thanks for the comment!
-
Considering they've interacted for only a few days, most of that being hostile on the part of Freddy, he and Rick are probably trying to play it safe. However, we'll see if this fling becomes something more as the wedding approaches. And the fact that Mrs. Meyers' image of her golden boy is shattered would've warranted at least a picture from Freddy's phone haha!

I awakened at around seven in the morning, and I jumped out of bed since I was actually looking forward to what the day would bring for me. So much of my life has changed since I returned to the town of Beckett to be one of the best men of my sister’s wedding, and the main reason was Patrick Dillard, otherwise known as Rick the puppet master who knew how to pull my strings and was the other best man. After working out in the spare room that was filled with my father’s recently purchased exer

Yeah, food is a very integral in Filipino culture. Whenever my family celebrates a birthday or holiday, there's always at least five dishes on the dinner table haha! And don't get me started on pancit. 😄
-
I recently went on a vacation to the Philippines for a month, pre-pandemic, and had plenty of pandasal along with other Filipino foods. So much and so good! Also, I agree that Freddy and Rick are good for each other, as evident by their teamwork with entertaining a gaggle of children at the birthday party. It's great that his father is more accepting compared to the mother along with openly campaigning his son's competence as a police officer to the town's sheriff. Often the mother is seen as the more accepting party, so this is indeed a twist. And Mr. Meyers health streak with a kale-spinach smoothie is just another quirk that makes him very lovable. Thanks so much this comment, and I really recommend eating hopia as well if you haven't already. 😄

Yes, Freddy, despite being hot-tempered, is a very levelheaded and competent police officer and would be a perfect candidate for the sheriff position. Let's see if he's willing to move back to Beckett and accept the offer even though he's conflicted with the town of Beckett.
