My heart was in my throat the entire chapter, but it was beautiful! I love that Paige and Derek were so understanding. 🥺 And of course Beth is amazing. I can't believe Owen and Margot actually did it!!! Zanesville will never forget this lol. Now we wait for the fallout.

I mean,,, enjoy the calm before the storm... But them doing it at the sister's reception is actually insane lol, but I guess that's a safer place because that way their parents would freak out TOO MUCH and do something crazy in front of other people..

Ryder Novak. I haven't even thought about Ryder's last name until now 😅 I can't blame Owen. Despite everything, Ryder has been so mysterious.. Ahhhh I really needed this chapter after the emotionally heavy previous ones, and I'm so grateful Owen's dad didn't make an appearance ~

It's truly a miracle he hasn't lost his mind yet. Neither Margot nor Owen's parents deserve to be in his life! It's rich, calling Ryder controlling when Margot has been doing the exact same thing. Her attempts at manipulating Owen are disgusting. I'm glad Ryder didn't show up because that would've ended badly, and I can't imagine Owen defending him. Now if Owen and Ryder's relationship is discovered, AND IT WILL BE, Owen will be painted as the lying cheating gay guy who betrayed his sweet fiancée... And would Margot tell the truth? Doubt it. Owen is too much of a coward; he's not gonna change, unfortunately.

I don't think Owen will ever be ready, and I'm afraid he's gonna get caught at the party. In front of seventy-something people, no less. I can already imagine Ryder showing up, only for him and Owen to get caught kissing. Owen's mom pisses me off. A small part of me wants Owen to come clean and tell everyone at the party he's gay just so his mom is humiliated! Margot's silence is worrying. I think she's gonna try to have Ryder kicked out of the party, and maybe exposing his past. The drama! Owen then telling the truth to everybody! Help!

I gotta say there's something very sinister about Owen's mom being so excited while planning an engagement party for her eighteen-year-old son.... And the whole town knowing about it and acting psychotic. *shudders* I have a feeling Owen won't ditch the party for Ryder. Ugh. Or, he'll have a breakdown during (I hope!). I don't think Ryder will make a decision for Owen. Owen gotta say NO to the whole engagement thing, the funeral house, his controlling parents and Margot.

Poor Owen. I really feel bad for him, but God, he needs to stop "forgetting" to tell Ryder about the important stuff lol. And Ryder is becoming a little unhinged. He met Owen two weeks ago and he's acting like he's been Owen's secret for years.

Poor Ryder 😠😠😠he was a just a kid! I knew he got involved with someone terrible... Gosh, they kissed! A part of me hoped they'd just elope together on Ryder's bike lol. But first Owen gotta come clean to his family, and he needs to have a serious talk with Margot. I have a feeling if Owen and Ryder's relationship got discovered, Margot wouldn't take his side... I just hope she'll grow a spine soon!

We don't actually know WHY Ryder served time; he could be innocent! The person who ghosted him probably had something to do with it or Ryder took the fall because he was in love with them ðŸ˜
