The gaot stopped and glanced over his shoulder, sides heaving from the exhertion...breaths coming in wracking pants. shuddering as he remembered the sight that greeted his eyes a few short hours ago when he sauntered into the community, a bounce in his step and a satisfied smirk on his lips as the wind gently blew his beard to one side. That was until he rounded the corner by the coffee shop, intnet on nibbling some tasty rejects from the ground, all those aspiring young writers balling up and throwing their latest musings on the ground in disgust were generally pretty tasty. The first danger sense he felt deep in his gut was when he looked at the cafe and found it empty. Moving his head side to side slowly, ears perked up for the hint of the slightest sound he moved forward, the only sound that met his ears was his hooves clicking on the cobblestones. That is until he entered the square and saw the huge pire waiting to be started and a goat sized spit with a wicked sharp end laying across the table. Danger senses screaming for him to run, his head jerked to the right as he heard a sound. Eyes bulging in fright at seeing all the young aspiring writers he had been feasting on were standing there staring at him. Jerking back a couple of steps his brain caught up with the screaming in his head...they had pitchforks and some of them even had basting brushes. A sudden sense of danger caused the goat to tear himself form the horrific memories in time to avoid the pitchfork thunking into the ground where moments before he was standing. Bleating in fear he shot off towards the woods and the hope of safety. I gave it a good start who wants to add to it ROTFLMAO

Actually I was surprised that two chapters in a row of my current WIP could be considered cliffhangers, I try very hard to avoid that as it anoys me to no end when certain parties who shall remain nameless to...well hells bells why bother tryng to protect their identities we all know who they are just had to take a moment of insantiy and pull a few folks tails

You know that might work I wonder if people will believe me when I tell them Scott snuck them in, that he shortened the chapter and relocated it to the beggining of the next chapter yup that will be my story and i'm sticking to it

the Goat is my hero my last three chapters I am getting ready to send of to my editor are major cliffies and my new goal in life is for the next ten chapters to end in evil cliffies LOL

I bought this one form Best Buy http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?sk...d=1186008217237 I got it on sale for 379.00 and added in another gig of ram as it was on sale for 39.99 I have taken this thing everywhere and am very happy with it, I have watched movies and surfed teh web, and use it at work and around the farm without problems, though the only thing I am not happy about is windows Vista but I deal with it as out of the 6 computers I deal with, this is the only one with Vista all but two use XP Pro, the one that runs the green house uses 2000. the key is to secure it in a very good case if you are going to use it a lot out and about. I would think it would be going on sale again at Best Buy mid January to counter act the retail slump and right befor ehaving to pay taxes on inventory R
