  1. I actually did throw a frying pan once during an argument. It was a long, long time ago and I didn't throw it at a person but across the room. We still have it and it's still dented. I'm much older and calmer now (mostly) but that pan reminds me of a hot-headed girl with a lot to learn about life and relationships. Luckily she learned from her mistakes. Lol. Enjoy your new place and I'm glad you have a kitchen partner you can enjoy cooking with.
  2. I could do nothing but laugh when I saw this. My week has not been the greatest, but I've been trying to look at the bright side of things and stay positive. That resolve went right out the door when I saw a venomous baby snake slithering on my window sill at work. On the inside. Less than 2 feet from me. I haven't moved that fast since I was a kid. I need hazard pay. Or @Kitt with her frying pan.

    Chapter 3

Shooting the tag printer upward, a stream of paper wrapped around a rafter beam. As he flew upward, the hero called out, ā€œIā€™m here for the store!ā€

    Celebration

It always amazes me to hear stories and to see a side of someone I knew and/or loved from other people's perspectives. No matter how close we are to someone, there is always a side of them that another person knows and we had no idea existed. I always disliked the traditional Catholic funerals I went to when I was younger. They were too somber and the Mass itself depressing. The first Celebration of Life I went to was eye-opening. It showed me that death doesn't have to be all tears and sadness. It's okay to laugh and reminisce with joy and happiness. Beautiful poem tim ā¤ļø

    Chapter 2

It's always the price guns that send them off on a power trip.
  6. Enjoy your time off, youve earned it!

    July 25-27, 1993

Their little group is expanding with everyone having something to offer. Taking care of others is just as important as doing anything else. Yes, they need to spoil themselves occasionally. The seriousness of their situation needs a little levity once on a while, be it a hair cut or game night (hint hint-they need to stumble across a few board games) It's also time for that cottage. Security and privacy don't necessarily go hand in hand and the boys gotta do what the boys gotta do. Nice chapter Wayne.

I don't know why but this made me snort-laugh-chuckle with a slight wheeze thrown in. šŸ¤

    I miss you guys too.

    Chapter 40

Book 3 will be a little bit. I think I'm about halfway there after a couple months derailment. Thanks for reading and I'm glad you enjoyed the stories. Don't forget to recommend if you haven't done so. Also follow my author profile so you'll be notified when the third story comes out. Fingers crossed it won't be too long.

    Chapter 1

Have you been present for any of our recent chats? You do realize the current situation my brain cells are in, yes?

    Chapter 1

It was not clarified in that paragraph. It was only when she was at the register with the pods that you knew where she'd been.

    Chapter 1

Your whacked out brain slays me, my friend. You forgot something though: Produce department? Peachy. Meat? Only a chicken would hide there. Dairy? Completely cheesy. Electronics? Easy game and no difficulty. Pet section? Nothing to bark at. Coffee aisle? how about adding "no perks here" šŸ˜œšŸ¤
  14. I'm sorry you've got that sort of pressure. I get it. Even though the snowbirds are gone there are projects that have to be done here. Communication has always been an issue and with everything else going on it's overwhelming. I've decided to do online therapy. Our insurance covers it, including phone sessions once a week with a therapist. I need it. There's an app with daily homework and coping strategies. It's a small step, yet it feels huge.

    Summer Fun

Things have settled into a calm holding pattern for now. Still working some stuff out but it's no longer a tsunami. Thanks.

    Summer Fun

These are cute and fun. The dog days of summer are here for sure. We need some rain. I'll probably be kicking myself in two months for saying that but.... Thanks for bringing a smile to my decidedly long and boring Friday afternoon. Just staring at the clock waiting to go home.
  17. It's good to see the group working so well together. The large group of zombies, hmm, could be advantageous to getting rid of them. Sort of like leading lemmings off the cliff. Love the new realizations between Mark and Wayne. They need to embrace their love for what it is. Great chapter Wayne.
  18. Great job Tim. It's been a pleasure to help you along with your writing journey. You've come a long way! It was nice seeing Bruce grow up and I enjoyed the link between your series. Keep up the good work!

    Chapter 40

It's a serious situation that I'm not in the right place mentally or emotionally to write right now.

    Chapter 40

I know. I know. Unfortunately, I've had life throw a lot of crap my way the past couple of months. It's been a challenge just to function as a normal person. I'm trying to get back on track. I promise.
  21. I hope you heal quickly. I can relate. I dislocated my right shoulder once and couldn't use that arm for several weeks. It's hard. Get better soon!

    Chapter 40

Wow. Something I can't take the blame for.
  24. I like this one. It's a fresh week and I'm optimistic that it will be better than last. Have a good week everyone.

    The Unsung

It might just be my frame of mind of late, but the one line that stands out for me is this: Where truthfulness is a holy myth So many of us are chasing the myth when it comes to ourselves.
