I'll think about editing a future chapter to add a little walk fown memory lane for the boys. It would be fun to see Elijah's ability from a six-year-olds perspective. I first wrote "blinker" (a New England thing). @Mrsgnomie called me out on it so I changed it to the more generic 'directional'. Turn signal would've worked too. It's a regional thing. Mom is stubborn. Plain and simple. As much as an idiot my brother can be, he's been there for 6 years seeing the decline. The last month has been extremely hard on him. The only reason we can think of for her to hang on would be to hold out until Monday. Aug 29th was her mother's birthday.

I need to keep busy. Right now I'm going through a giant tote of old pictures my mom has. Sorting them out and separating by brother so when everyone cones down they can go through them and see if it's anything they want to keep. There's another stack of pics of my mom and dad that they can go through too. This waiting sucks.

In my world (especially in A Tattoo for Lex) there are bonds of friendship that are irrefutable and unique. Lex would see one of those bonds between Elijah and Tyler. It's similar to the connection between Lex and Cassie.

Up until recently, Tyler was a secondary character, so I can see why you thought he was straight. It was only a brief mention at the beginning of the story. Sebastian’s indoctrination into the greater shifter world has been happening behind the scenes. Now that he's the head honchos it's like being elected to President. He gets told all the top secret information. He's also the type to keep that information under wraps.

Tyler admitted he's been on a dry spell. Might have to remedy that pretty soon. You're right. In order for any of this to work, Tyler has to be able to trust the shifters. He's well on his way.
