Good to have you back and I'm glad you're okay. Mom passed away on Sunday but it was peaceful.

February 27, 1931. A baby girl was born, a daughter, granddaughter, niece. In the years that followed she became a sibling to three brothers and a sister. She was a friend, a classmate, a good student, finally in 1953, a teacher. It wasn't long before she was a girlfriend, then fiancee. April 28, 1956, she took on the role of wife. Her greatest title, Mom, was earned on February 15, 1957 with the arrival of the first of five boys over the next seven years. During this time she also expanded her collection of titles to include sister-in-law, aunt and godmother. Then on July 13, 1968 she surprised everyone by giving birth to a daughter, one who went nameless for three days because she was sure she was having another boy. The next three decades of her life she added mother-in-law and Grandma, even Great Grandma to her long list of accomplishments. Sadly, after 60 years of marriage, on June 19, 2016, she had to take on the title of widow. Then on August 28, 2022, she left this world behind, shedding the confusion that shadowed her final years. The energy, the force that gave life to this amazing woman was released back into the universe. I love you Mom. 💔

I first wrote "blinker" (a New England thing). @Mrsgnomie called me out on it so I changed it to the more generic 'directional'. Turn signal would've worked too. It's a regional thing. Mom is stubborn. Plain and simple. As much as an idiot my brother can be, he's been there for 6 years seeing the decline. The last month has been extremely hard on him. The only reason we can think of for her to hang on would be to hold out until Monday. Aug 29th was her mother's birthday.

I need to keep busy. Right now I'm going through a giant tote of old pictures my mom has. Sorting them out and separating by brother so when everyone cones down they can go through them and see if it's anything they want to keep. There's another stack of pics of my mom and dad that they can go through too. This waiting sucks.
