Thank you and congrats on beating out everyone in the Korner Krew for the first post. They were all sleeping on the job. Rosalie and Silas are interesting characters. It's fun to slip in some little tidbits about them. It's way too soon for Elijah or Tyler to find a mate. Neither are ready. But then again, you never know.

Elijah felt a modicum of normalcy for the first time since Kage died. Being back among people who understood the intricacies of living life as a supernatural gave him a sense of belonging. He would never begrudge the life he had with his parents before they were killed, but there were others out there who could do extraordinary things, and they made him feel not so alone. Mom is being cremated and then interred with my dad at the VA cemetery. We'll have a small service for family. It will be interesting to see how often my siblings will make an effort to keep in touch. Thanks for your kind words.

Good to have you back and I'm glad you're okay. Mom passed away on Sunday but it was peaceful.

February 27, 1931. A baby girl was born, a daughter, granddaughter, niece. In the years that followed she became a sibling to three brothers and a sister. She was a friend, a classmate, a good student, finally in 1953, a teacher. It wasn't long before she was a girlfriend, then fiancee. April 28, 1956, she took on the role of wife. Her greatest title, Mom, was earned on February 15, 1957 with the arrival of the first of five boys over the next seven years. During this time she also expanded her collection of titles to include sister-in-law, aunt and godmother. Then on July 13, 1968 she surprised everyone by giving birth to a daughter, one who went nameless for three days because she was sure she was having another boy. The next three decades of her life she added mother-in-law and Grandma, even Great Grandma to her long list of accomplishments. Sadly, after 60 years of marriage, on June 19, 2016, she had to take on the title of widow. Then on August 28, 2022, she left this world behind, shedding the confusion that shadowed her final years. The energy, the force that gave life to this amazing woman was released back into the universe. I love you Mom. 💔
