Kage's upbringing was pretty complex. He's never encountered anyone who has even remotely piqued his interest like Elijah does and he doesn't know what to make of it. Also, I'm pretty sure he doesn't see his boss as "family". He wasn't raised as such and has that emotional detachment thing going on. That pesky computer is turning into a massive thorn in everyone's side.

We'll eventually see a little more of the elusive boss. Right now he's a minor player. Magilla Gorilla was one of my favorites. Giant purple gorilla. Lol. Wonder what kind of aura Lex would see on Jay or Loren? They're in northern California, so if you push aside the insignificant state in between, they're close enough to Seattle. I'm not scared of Murdoch. He can't get blood from a stone🤣

Seeing the look of surprise on Elijah’s face made Kage realize how much he enjoyed catching his cutie off guard. Whoa! His cutie. Moving day was mostly okay. No mishaps with anything. It was a long day though. Now everything is in absolute chaos until we can find time to unpack. I bought a nice pantry closet for the kitchen. Four hours for me and hubs to put together. Our bed isn't put back together so we've been sleeping on the mattress on the floor. Caught Zeke snoozing on my side--head on my pillow. I won't get anything done this weekend because I'm Mom-sitting. My brother is going up to Mass for the weekend and I'll be staying at their house. Mom's dementia has really progressed. She has no idea who anyone is anymore. It breaks my heart. Have a good day!

I'm going to put this one to rest. The 55 Chevy is me paying homage to my dad. He used to own one just like I described. Later Elijah brings up a memory related to it and that memory is mine. Whether or not it's a red herring. Or if the red herring is a red herring pretending to be a red herring is anybodys guess.

Staring out the window of Tyler’s kitchen, Elijah sipped his coffee absentmindedly. His mind kept straying back to the encounter he had with the shadow shifter two nights ago. Every time he thought of how his body betrayed him with its reaction to the mysterious dark man, he could feel his cheeks turn pink. Remembering how the room had been lit only by moonlight, illuminating only a fraction of what he wanted to see, it was enough that Elijah was able to make out most of the man’s features

Tomorrow is iffy for posting. We're picking up the moving truck early. Right now getting all our furniture moved is my priority. Plus I'm still battling a cold and feel crappy. If I can't swing it tomorrow I promise I'll post Sunday morning.
