@Reader1810 thanks for the link to Amy's site. I made both the cranberry/orange and the blueberry/almond banana breads. Both are really good, though I have to adjust the baking time, my oven runs hot and the cranberry ones were a little overcooked, bit still quite edible. I added walnuts to that one as well. My only gripe is orange zest. It takes forever to zest two teaspoons, let alone four when you double the recipe. Might have to look for a new zester. ๐ค Hope everyone is having a good day!

Are there any markings or imprints on the bottom? If not then in all likelihood it's a mass produced souvenir sold in gift shops. Most ceramic items of value have an identifying mark somewhere on them.

Damn Wayne! It's official.... you are now hands down the official Cliffie King. I really, really ,really (REALLY), hope the rest of the story speaks to you loud and clear. And soon. I've been jonesing for some of your Wayne's world! What the hell are you waiting for? Go โ โ โ โ โ โ โ โ โ!!! โค

Omg... she's a hoot! But alas...the banana surplus is my own fault. I forgot he was going and we've been on a banana kick lately so I should've known he'd get some. I'll give Sasha a try. Thanks! I've earmarked the cranberry orange banana bread and the blueberry one too.... thanks Reader!

Ok DiC peeps. I need help. I forgot that yesterday my husband said he was going to the store today. We now have 15 bananas (as well as six packages of whole wheat English muffins that were bogoโบ) Any good banana-based recipes?? I usually make the good old stand-by Betty Crocker recipe for banana nut bread, but I'd like to try something new/different and relatively healthy. These bananas will hit ripe in a day or so and overripe by Monday or Tuesday. Any suggestions? ๐ Hope y'all are having a good evening!

Florida is filled with abundant wildlife. Lots of birds, manatees, alligators, a few panthers, wild boars, etc,. We had a major incident happen right across the street from the corner of our property closest to my office which resulted in the Sheriff's department shutting down our whole end of the street. This meant our main entrance was not accessible for entry. I needed to open our emergency gate which is at the other end of the property, not blocked off but I don't have a clue where the extra clicker is. So I called my maintenance guy who tells me to go down to the gate and he'll talk me through getting it open manually. I get to the gate, my guy tells me to find the breaker box behind one of the houses, open it and flip the breaker off and the gate will open. I find the box. Open it...... And scream at the top of my lungs when a damn gecko jumps out at me. Fricken lizards ๐ฆ๐ณ

This is a good reminder for me. I'm definitely not a morning person. I still need to work on being a little less growly the first couple of hours I'm up. At least until the coffee kicks in. It's hard to find the right frame of mind at 530 in the morning. Thanks for posting these. It's good to see you back rick. Have a nice day everybody!

Snowcaps and popcorn work too! ๐คญ

I wish I had used that line on my kids when they were little! We just outright swiped their candy. ๐คฃ Whoppers were always my "go to" for movie candy. Nowadays I find myself mentally calculating the sugar and calories.... it's a pass (most of the time). I will cave occasionally and find myself unwrapping a couple of Hersheys kisses. Mmmmmm.....

Happy Halloween to you to! I'm partial to anything with caramel in it. (Unless there's coconut in it too.. *gag*) Have a good day everyone!

I remember when I commuted from Annapolis to Arlington and the D.C. traffic report seemed to take at least 10 minutes to listen to. It was culture shock moving to Florida and having a traffic report last about 20-30 seconds.

It sort of makes sense... If people are taking a long weekend then it's usually Fri-Mon...or Thurs-Sun... or Sat-Tues. Wednesday is the red-haired step child of the week. People are like... f@#! it...I might as well work.

Sounds like your mother-in-law has found a way to channel herself from beyond. Damn he sounds like a spoiled brat 5 year old. Smart move cutting off the personal taxi service. Don't worry about the ranting.... it's all good. We all need an outlet sometimes! Hope you have a better weekend Kitt.

There is no rhyme or reason to traffic in my area (Sarasota/Bradenton). Snowbirds and tourists affect traffic on a daily basis. I found that in the morning if I leave my house later than 620 it adds a few minutes to my commute. Coming home is always a crap shoot. This morning was an anomaly. I didn't hit one single red light in the whole 15 miles. I thought I was in an episode of The Twilight Zone. Have a nice Friday everyone!

How in the hell does a brand new air conditioning unit stop working!! And why does it have to be in the middle of the highest humidity we've had all month?? Not the best way to start off the week. ๐๐ฅต๐คฌ๐คจ I give up.

As of today it's been 29 years and quite a rollercoaster ride since I walked down the aisle of the church I grew up with. I don't go to church anymore, but my heart still belongs to the man I married. โค Hope you all have a good day!

'Bout damn time you dropped in. ๐คฃ

Good contractors are nearly impossible to find in Florida. We get good ones and then corporate still makes us bid it out at the end of every contract...*sigh*

I hate having to do year-end self evaluations. We have to complete ours early this year because the upper level manager who processes all of them is having surgery in November and will be out 6 weeks or so. As a community manager I have to have my maintenance guys complete them too. One of the questions is: "Why is this company a better place by having you here?" One of my guy's answer: "I work." I damn near fell out of my chair. ๐คฃ. Funniest part is... he's right. He's the hardest working guy I've got. Enjoy your Friday Eve y'all!

Thanks for the reminder Rick! I try to catch the launches from Cape Canaveral. In clear weather we get a good view. When my son was in little league the umpires had to call a time out one night because the space shuttle was taking off and nobody was paying attention to the game...lol Hope everyone has a good day.

I love how Will has Brad down to a science. Brad should know better than to give his own mini-me shit.๐ Will has paid attention and learned his people skills from JP and Stef. He's already a force to be reckoned with in a lot of situations. Another great chapter Mark!

After two weeks and two days.... we finally have air conditioning. Just in time for the humidity to roll back in and temps will hit the 90s. Now I have about three hours of free time between now and Thursday to clean the house before my brother comes for a quick visit to see mom. He won't stay with my other brother. So it's Casa de K for three nights. I don't mind.... he's the one normal sibling I have left. Hope everyone has a good rest of the week!

I'm so glad you enjoyed it (twice!) I'm trying to find time to go back and edit all the little grammatical mistakes I missed the first time around.
