  1. I totally get it this morning. I swear yesterday I kept reading "Life is not to be saved" 😲. My brain was stuck between 'needs the short bus' and 'complete idiot' 🤪 I seem to be functioning today. Have a good day everyone!
  2. I'm not sure if it's my addled brain or if Ive reached my quota of information to be assimilated today because I've had to update nearly 300 residents in our directory, but I really don't get this one. I've tried reading it with different inflections, but the pistons just aren't firing properly. 🤔
  3. The common house fly has a maximum speed of 5mph. Other species can get up to a whopping 13mph. However, they don't fly front to back/back and forth. They dive bomb your head, waiting for you to open your mouth. Then when you spit it out, it will shake itself off and then proceed to taunt you by landing on the windshield directly in front of you and fly away when you try to swat them. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
  4. So after much thought and deliberation, after coming into the house from walking the dogs while wearing long pants, and sweatshirt because it was 52 degrees (11C) I decided to finally put on a pair of socks. Flip flops don't keep toes warm. 🤪 I'm also going to foresee the future. Florida is currently stuck in a weather pattern of rain on Sun/Mon and the temps drop to the low 60s for daytime highs for a day or two and then gradually warm up to mid 70s by the end of the week. Nice cool weather. Sort of Christmassy even. The kind of weather that would be perfect for Christmas Day. *insert sound of brakes screeching* Nope...Christmas day is going to be mid to upper 80s and humid...just wait and see!
  5. Congrats on the story! I'll have to check it out when I have a little time.
  6. Funniest commercial I have seen. All. Year.🤣🤣
  7. Only thing that's keeping me sane right now🙂
  8. Well, the stars have aligned against me in my quest to replace my Bissell Crosswave. The new one came today and my impatient husband decided the floors needed to be done tonight, they can't wait until Sat or even Wed which he has off. So he assembled the thing and he must not have realized that the cap to the clean water tank wasn't screwed on tightly. He put the bottle in where it goes to make sure everything lined up ok. When he took the bottle off, the cap remained in the base. As in stuck. Permanently. Forever. We tried. We gave it our all. That thing is never coming out. So I called the "help" line. End result....I have to take the motherf!@%ing thing back to.....yup, you guessed it Walmart. Because my track record with them is stellar. *insert gagging sound*. it was an online order, just to make things more interesting. So right now my pissed off husband is mopping the kitchen because he's a type A personality and can't wait. Me? I'm just staying out of the way. Been down that road before. Lesson learned. I only wanted an easier way to clean my floors again. I feel like a puppy that's been kicked.
  9. There's a lot in this world to be afraid of, but each day is a step. Most days the steps lead us forward, some days they push us back. So, yes, it is about you. You're a lifetime of steps away from where you were. As for our last step? I'm hoping mine will be an effing doozie!
  10. I'm so sorry Kitt. No one will ever convince me that our animal companions aren't family. It's always difficult to let go.
  11. You've had a long journey my friend. You deserve a happy life.
  12. Sounds like something I would do!😂 My ex SIL always said to treat your kids well, they're gonna be the ones to pick out your nursing home...lol!
  13. My bladder alarm woke me up at 530. My regular alarm was set for 6. I had a hard time getting the motor running this morning. Coffee is finally kicking in and my brain isn't quite so sluggish. Have a good day everyone! (And maybe sneak in a little nap chris!)
  14. As much as Zeke earned the title of PITA today, our little dog, Camden was in the running for Cute Pup of the Year. Every year when we get the Xmas tree up, as soon as the tree skirt is underneath, he claims the space as his. He curls up under the tree. I don't think he realizes Santa won't be here for a few more weeks. But damn, he's cute!
  15. Trust me....there was no 12 inch sausage...🤪😲 But yes spyke, I think he was pissed he didn't get any butt cracklins...lol. (He did get half a burger...I way overcooked one on the grill, so both pups got a treat.)
  16. I have no idea what has gotten into our big dog today, but I think I'm changing his name from Zeke to Hey! Knock It Off! He has been getting into everything he shouldn't. He's such a shit.
  17. Not sure if it's going to be better than yesterday, but at least most of the Christmas stuff is up. Still waiting for my Bissell though. Should've had it two days ago. Tracker says it's at the FedEx facility two towns over. Maybe today 🤷‍♀️ Enjoy your day!
  18. More like drooled profusely! We got one order to share and with one look my arteries started to narrow. As good as it was, I could only eat a couple of pieces. Bacon is ok in moderation, this bacon should be classified as heart attack inducing. (I actually liked the fried mac and cheese better...but again, only a couple of pieces. Fried food wreaks havoc on me).
  19. Sounds like you've got one of the good ones molly! ❤🙂
  20. Two words Candied. BACON. 🤤🤤🤤🤤
  21. Take it easy molly. Bruises can hurt just as much as a tear or break sometimes. I'm glad you're ok! *hugs*
  22. Ok. Guess I'm jumping into the fray. The BBQ place we had lunch at has an appetizer called "Butt-Cracklins". Damn was it good and meaty!
  23. I love it when things just click. I met my friend (H) at the nail place and we had a couple of great pedicures. While there I got a text from my ex coworker(L). We touch base every once in a while. Without saying anything to H I invited L to meet us for lunch. I had already told H that it had to be outside. I won't do dine in right now. There's a BBQ place right down the street with picnic tables outside, and it's nice out today. L and H have only seen each other briefly when L and I worked together. They've only heard me talk about the other one. From the moment L got there and sat down it was instant camaraderie. By the end of our hour and a half lunch it was like the three of us had been hanging out for years. Y'all have heard me say that my inner circle is small. One of the main reasons is because I really do have a warped, quirky sense of humor that occasionally is borderline lewd. In the real world I'm not super outgoing, but I'm not timid either. I appear normal, mostly, I think? The handful of people I consider true friends rarely intersect. Today was one of those days where it happened and it was pure fun. Something that hasn't happened all that much this year. Social distancing sucks. It felt really good to laugh, and even snort-laugh for a short time. Friendships are treasures that should not be taken for granted. I'm looking forward to being able to hang out again. I miss my sister from another mister up north. Time to call her to catch up. So, my toes are pretty again, my eyebrows are no longer a unibrow and I had some awesome pulled pork and fried Mac and Cheese (my stomach hates me...I rarely eat fried food, but damn it was worth it!). Best of all was the laughter that I needed. (Plus a couple beers) I hope everyone enjoys their evening and maybe call an old friend you haven't caught up with in a while. It's worth it.
  24. And as usual Mike is in shorts and a t-shirt, right?🤣.
  25. Good morning! I hope everyone has a good day!
