I know I said yesterday that my thumb wouldn't fall off if I didn't wear my brace, but.....damn does it hurt today! That'll teach me to wait 🤦♀️

That's half the battle! Now that the teeth are done I need to find a new primary care doctor. I know I'm a mess and will probably put it off even though I shouldn't. I may love going to the dentist but I absolutely hate going to the regular doctor....talk about ugh!
-
Only if the headshrinker is a twin brother of my dentist 🤣🤣

I absolutely love my dentist's office. The staff is so great. My son's hygienist was out and we both had appointments at 4. My hygienist offered to stay late so we wouldn't have to reschedule his appt. ❤ My teeth are squeaky clean and I got to see the hot dentist. ☺Yup...definitely a good day!

Perspective. I had to change mine really quick this morning which is not easy when you aren't a morning person to begin with. My day started going downhill right out of the gate. I shut my alarm off instead of hitting snooze and overslept. At some point during blow drying my hair it decided to pull a 'Girls Gone Wild' and did everything I didn't want it to do. I overcooked my eggs. My thumb braces didn't dry thoroughly overnight so I can't wear them today....things weren't looking good. Then my brain literally told me to cut the shit out. I fixed the hair the best I could, ate the eggs, my hand won't fall off if I go one day without the brace. So...things could be much worse. On the bright side, I woke up to see another day. I made it to work on time, plus I get to leave early today because I have a dentist appt. I love getting my teeth cleaned. So my perspective changed and I'm looking forward to having a good day. I hope everyone else does too!

Ahhhh...January....shredding season for offices all over the world. Behind my desk looks like a ticker tape parade passed thru. No matter how careful I am, how much I shake the shredder, it still gets all over the floor. 😒

Good luck with the appointments Fae. Aloe for the burn! (Don't feel bad, my best friend ironed her hand when we were in high school, she hasn't touched an iron since)

Did you grind the oats yourself or did you buy them? I really want to make this....it looks amazing.

The new notification is going to take a bit to get used to. I like the green, but after you tap it they shifted the bell and the envelope to the right. I keep tapping on my name by mistake ☺🤭

Wonder if she had him neutered? 🤭

Only in Florida.... I can't even imagine what would possess anyone to do something like this. Over the weekend a manatee was spotted with 'Trump' either scraped into the algae that grows on its back or painted on somehow. It was videoed swimming in a river like that. I don't give a shit what anyone's political view is but....LEAVE THE DAMN MANATEES OUT OF IT!! They're protected animals. I really hope they catch the idiots who did it.

I'm currently hooked on blackberry whiskey. (Although Fireball did go into the egg mixture for French Toast this morning 🤫)

No snow here...but is is on the cool side. Today was one helluva lazy day. I just got around to taking a shower and as much as I would've loved just going from one set of jammies to the next.... I have to go walk the dogs. Polar bear and palm tree sleep pants might be OK for Walmart, but not dog walking 🤣. It's already dropped down into the low 50s so I think I might throw on a hoodie. Don't worry....not gonna cave on the flip flops! I'm hopefully going to finish up the chapter I'm working on, it's almost done. (yes @spyke, I've been "clacking" all afternoon!) Have a good evening everyone!

Prompt 848: "That was the last thing I ever expected to see."
kbois commented on Mikiesboy's story chapter in Prompt 848: "That was the last thing I ever expected to see."
Wow. As a fallen from grace ex-12 year Catholic school girl I can really relate to Alex. Churches scare me too. Rituals that were, at one time, comforting now makes me shake my head at the young girl I was, brainwashed from birth. It took me a long time to go from believer to non-believer and I still feel a pang of guilt when I tell people I don't believe in one, omniscient, omnipresent being and they question me. I have my reasons. At the end of the day, however, I still find myself occasionally uttering the phrase "thank god". I guess old habits die hard. Nice little story tim. I really enjoyed it. -
That is equally horrifying and fascinating at the same time. Freaky.

We're finally settling down for the day (sort of) We played Christmas Tetris all morning getting everything put away. We ended up with an extra empty bin and hubby didn't need the ornament organizer. Hmmm..🤔 He did the tree. I did all the knickknacks. After nearly 30 years there are very few original boxes left. One of these years I'll break down and label everything properly...just not this year. Son is working tonight so we're having an early-ish dinner. Chicken enchiladas...mmmmmm. Made the chicken in the Instapot yesterday. Enjoy your evening everyone!

I wasn't too fond of wearing them at first either. Now it's just part of the routine of getting dressed. I think I dislike wearing socks more than a mask...lol.

I worked in a rehab facility years ago. It's much better to get someone up and moving as soon as they are able after any kind of replacement surgery. It helps to prevent blood clots.

@Kitt I completely understand how you feel. I do hope that the people who hurt your neighbor were charged with assault at the very least. I think 100 years from now if society hasn't already self-destructed people will look back on this timeframe as an example of what not to do. Unfortunately humans as a whole tend to repeat their mistakes. Nowadays media feeds into the mania that goes on all around us. News media has lost it's way. It stopped being objective long ago with the advent of the world wide web. It's pretty sad. I agree with @Mikiesboy and his shrink. Limit social media, news, and other negative outlets. You have all of us as an outlet and I, for one, am grateful every single day that you guys are here, so we'll be here for you.

Sunday is next week.....just sayin! 🤭

It's on our to do list for this weekend. Even though our household is very much Marvel-centric, the guys will still watch DC when they get the chance. Pitfall of being the only girl in an all guy household.....twenty years of boy themed movies! Looking forward to seeing it. Let's face it the 80s rocked! Enjoy your needlework!

He slid the perfect over-medium eggs onto another plate piled with them... The best way to fry eggs. Closing his eyes, he rocked back on his heels as he emptied the tortured organ. Funniest fricken description of peeing I have ever come across 😂 Lee is like a stray dog that's never known much kindness and has a chance at his forever home. It's going to take a while before he recognizes the true potential of the opportunity he's been given. I think a few people might get bit in the process. Great chapter Wayne!

My doggos are pissed at me. I got out of work a little early so I could stop at home and put some chicken in the Instapot for later. I was only home for about 15 minutes before I had to leave to go get my son. They thought they were going for a w-a-l-k. Ooops....they have to wait.

Unfortunately it won't be. But at least we've got a chance with this one.... it's not Covid related, not financially related either. We have several residents who are willing to write statements as well as stalk her to get pictures and videos. She told D to prove that it was her dog.....challenge accepted bitch!
