  1. TC pushed the throttle forward on the control panel and Triton’s Conch put on a burst of speed. Lyssa and her friend Missy were laughing at something Owen had said to them. Owen was sitting on the back bench with his new girlfriend, Madison. They had been dating for about a month. It was the Fourth of July and TC had volunteered to host the kids for the day. They had anchored off of Siesta Key again so the kids could hang out on the beach. TC had stayed onboard listening to music and reading in
  2. He's already mentioned green or maybe bright blue. I told him to get a job first. πŸ€”πŸ™„πŸ€πŸ€ There's a really good series with Zac Effron called Down to Earth on Netflix that we're watching. Really interesting if you like travel shows. You have a good night too everyone. 6am comes way too fast for me!πŸ’€
  3. Well.... The verdict is in. It's not as bleachy white as I pictured. It's more like the blond he was when he was little, just a little lighter. So Mom will give this one πŸ‘πŸ‘
  4. Yeah.... too true. I'm sure it'll look better than when he decided to shave his head bald when he was 14. He's got a lumpy head. 🀣
  5. So my younger son, in all his 18 years of infinite wisdom has decided he wants to bleach his hair blond πŸ™„. He had dark blond hair when he was little and it has since darkened to a medium kinda sandy brown. He was not allowed to have 'unnaturally' colored hair (military charter school) and had to have it short, so he chose to keep it buzzed. The kid has not had a haircut (his choice) since maybe end of Jan/beginning of Feb. Needless to say it now a wild giant bush on the top of his head. When he was little we used to call him Heat Miser...you know, the dude from one of those Christmas specials. Should be interesting to see how this little experiment turns outπŸ€” We'll know in about an hour.
  6. Ahhh... the legendary freezer hunt, closely related to the fridge hunt. There's nothing scarier than hearing those words..."Hon? Do you know what this is? Or better yet..."How old is this?" Or "What the Hell is this?" 🀣 It sounds like you got lucky. Enjoy!
  7. Another great chapter and example of how intertwined this little world is. Carullo and JJ are a good fit. I think Colin has great potential to be a really good friend (with benefits of course🀭) to Will. I don't see Will finding (or rediscovering) his soulmate until he's older. He may be mature for his age, but he still has a ways to go. Should be interesting to see what college will bring. More please! 😁
  8. Oddly enough...not even drinking tonight. My shins have decided to join my knees in singing the song of agony so painkillers and alcohol don't tend to mix very well.
  9. That's awesome rick! I had to read 'drive thru fish fry' several times as my brain kept messing up: Drive fru fresh fry---Drive thru frish fry---Drive thru thrish fry🀣🀣
  10. Congratulations on your ribbons! I don't envy you trying to do it all in the heat though. Kudos to all the riders for a great day! My husband's cousin has a horse farm and it sure is a lot of hard work.
  11. Been there...it sucks. Hope things get better Starry!

    Chapter 3

How true! After having her insistently banging on my brain cells I had to stop writing part 1 and write half of this chapter. I had roughly four pages floating all alone on Google docs for several months. Damn she's bold! πŸ€£πŸ˜‰

    Chapter 3

Thanks FanLit! There really was only one choice for her profession. She will definitely force David to pull his head out of his ass! Thanks for commenting!

Aw, thanks Chris! I knew you'd like Dr. Charlotte! She's a big help to David. She has a few surprises for him still. 😁

    Chapter 3

This woman TOOK OVER my brain. No chance in hell of her not being part of this story. 🀣 Twists and turns are coming....you know me! 😜 Thanks for commenting spyke!
  16. David smiled. It was a small smile, not quite reaching his eyes. It was one of just a few that had happened in the past few months. A full, cheek to cheek, teeth baring, bright smile was a thing of the past. Laughter had buried itself deep within himself, another distant memory. Any of his family or friends would have recognized the signs of depression easily. Hell, even David recognized it, he just refused to acknowledge it. He was back in London and had wandered into Hyde Park. There was
  17. I need to print this and stick it on both of my kid's doors! Soooooo true!! Thanks for having me❣
  18. I saw this this morning and thought it was good timing: It occurred to Pooh 🐻 and Piglet 🐷 that they hadn't heard from Eeyore for several days, so they put on their hats 🎩 and coats πŸ§₯ and trotted across the Hundred Acre Wood🌲 to Eeyore's stick house 🏠. Inside the house was Eeyore. "Hello Eeyore," said Pooh. 🐻 "Hello Pooh. 🐻 Hello Piglet 🐷" said Eeyore, in a Glum Sounding Voice. "We just thought we'd check in on you," said Piglet, "because we hadn't heard from you, and so we wanted to know if you were okay." Eeyore was silent for a moment. "Am I okay?" he asked, eventually. "Well, I don't know, to be honest. Are any of us really okay? That's what I ask myself. All I can tell you, Pooh and Piglet, is that right now I feel really rather Sad, and Alone, and Not Much Fun To Be Around At All. Which is why I haven't bothered you. Because you wouldn't want to waste your time hanging out with someone who is Sad, and Alone, and Not Much Fun To Be Around At All, would you now." Pooh looked and Piglet, and Piglet looked at Pooh, and they both sat down, one on either side of Eeyore in his stick house 🏠. Eeyore looked at them in surprise. "What are you doing?" "We're sitting here with you," said Pooh, "because we are your friends. And true friends don't care if someone is feeling Sad, or Alone, or Not Much Fun To Be Around At All. True friends are there for you anyway. And so here we are." πŸ’šπŸ’œπŸ’š "Oh," said Eeyore. "Oh." And the three of them sat there in silence, and while Pooh and Piglet said nothing at all; somehow, almost imperceptibly, Eeyore started to feel a very tiny little bit better. πŸ’šπŸ’œπŸ’š Because Pooh and Piglet were There. No more; no less. A.A.Milne E.H.Shepard
  19. I hate getting a new phone, but mine keeps blacking out on me randomly. I have to close all my apps and reopen. I normally go into the phone place to get a phone and have the guys there set it up, but I don't want to go anywhere in Florida if I don't have to. mighty fine is all well and good until you realize you're old enough to be their mom (or dad), then it's more like...yikes! 🀭🀣
  20. Getting a new phone does nothing but highlight how much of a tech idiot I am. Giving it up until tomorrow. Ugh..
  21. I honestly admire both tim and molly for knowing who they are and embracing their submissiveness and for finding someone who completes them. Yes, being online does makes it easier to speak out. Nowhere in my 'real' life could I ever admit to anyone that I would never make a good sub. I'd be in time out every day. I'm pretty introverted with people I dont know, but for those who know me well....let's just say my best friend calls me her 'bright ray of sarcastic sunshine'. She's probably the only one who realizes I use humor and sarcasm as a coping mechanism and still loves me just the way am I. A boardroom full of extroverts? I'd be out the door in a heartbeat.
  22. Wow, molly! I had to read this article twice. It struck a nerve in me, not in a bad way, but in a thought provoking one. I've always been introverted, but never thought too much about just how much it affects me. It seems like the older I get, the more introverted I get, yet at the same time I handle it much better than I did when I was younger. I used to avoid speaking in front of large groups of people with everything I had in me. After being forced to do so for work, I learned how to deal with it (short, sweet and to the point). I still hate it. Group meetings and training sessions are nightmares for anxiety. Role playing should come with felony charges. However, I know that if necessary I can plaster a smile on my face and cover a presentation if needed even though I'm shaking inside at the thought. There's nothing more frightening than walking into a room filled with 100 band kids and their parents and have to speak in front of them. Those kids can smell fear like a shark smelling a drop of blood 10 miles away in the ocean. BUT....because I did it I ended up having 3 years of wonderful memories from my son's high school band days. So there are pros and cons. Being introverted is definitely not a bad thing. We introverts have no issues with social distancing. We were made for it. I'm usually ok if I'm meeting someone new and it's a friend of friend, but complete strangers are a different story. Starting a new job is one of the most stressful things for me. My inner circle is small and I like it that way. I also like that forums such as this allow me to express myself a little more boldly than I do in real life. The protection of anonymity is comforting. This forum is like a security blanket. Thank you for sharing molly. ❀
  23. It's starting to grow on me. 😊❀
  24. I was pregnant with son 2 and fell asleep after making cookies while son 1 who was 3 years old was watching a video. When I woke up there were at least five or six cookies gone and the kid had chocolate all over his face and hands. I asked him if he ate the cookies and that little bugger looked me straight in the eye and and said "No Mommy, Lucky dog did." πŸ€”πŸ€£ I'm glad your brownie disaster turned out ok. I hope everyone had a good day!
