David has come a long way, still has a way to go. They both do. I love Dr. C's character. She's another one that I wish I had time to develop more.

Me too. I relate better to this age group. I've mentioned before that I probably will never write a story with teenagers as the main characters. Mid to late 20s is about as young as I'll go. Too close to my own kid's ages. Sort of an ick fact when writing sex scenes. 😆 Thanks for your comments!

I set up my new phone finally. The keyboard if set on 'French'. It won't let me set it back to English. 🤦♀️ C'est là vie!

I'm so glad you liked that line, it was a last minute edit today. I felt that it was appropriate. The "talk" will be next chapter. Thanks for commenting!

Hope you feel better soon rick!

I was crazy busy at work, had a 2.5 hr "lunch training", then our regional manager offered to take us out to dinner. I just got home. Still gotta go walk the dogs. Thanks for asking.

David heard and felt the buzz of a text as he was wrapping up a conversation with his daughter. He had told her that he would probably be coming home soon. In reality, there was no ‘probably’ about it. He knew it was time to go home and face reality again. He was in a better place. The past couple of weeks had been quite interesting that was for sure. Dr. Charlotte had stuck to her guns and made him go to Bristol. He had followed her directions, knowing that if he didn’t he’d probably get

I came close a few times with those old cartridges, managed to drop one all over the floor, but my best work 'mishap' was my first job. I worked at Carvel (the ice cream store), uniform was white pants with white company polo. I had the seam on a 5 GALLON bag of chocolate mix split as I was lifting it up to pour into the hopper on the machine. I pretty much was covered from head to toe in what was the equivalent of thick chocolate milk. Took a few hours to clean the machine and the floor. My mom damn near had a heart attack when I walked in the door. My dad laughed.

I'm rather proud if myself today. I've started my mandatory Wednesday's working at our other property with the manager that no one can stand. Our head maintenance man had just about had it with her and is ready to quit. We have the regional manager here from Chicago, plus a manager trainee that will be working at a new property on the east coast. The regional manager has been here about a month and he's a type A personality to the extreme. Ten minutes with him and you're exhausted. I just kept quiet, inwardly rolled my eyes everytime she called me 'honey' and escaped as soon ad I could. The new manager trainee asked me "How do stand it?" I just kinda shrugged, what else can one do? Gotta go back over for the annual safety meeting tomorrow, [don't run with scissors, don't play with fire, keep long hair away from the shredder]. At least they're feeding us lunch! Hope everyone else is having a good day!

Well....the day may have started out with the potential to be a catastrophic disaster, BUT, because of the wisdom, the humor, the teasing, and the downright silliness of @Mikiesboy @mollyhousemouse @Reader1810 @rickproehl @chris191070 @Kitt @Brayon and anyone else I may have missed, today turned into a really good day! Y'all proved once again that this forum truly is a wonderful thing. I'm grateful to be a part of it. Thanks for the laughs and for those of you along the east coast, stay safe, stay dry. Keep smiling. Keep laughing. Keep loving. Keep living, everyday will bring something new. ❤

Definitely cheeky! Cheeky enough that I think if I ever found out he was I Florida I'd hunt him down, kidnap him, drag him to Disney and make him ride "It's A Small World" over and over and over....... I wonder if EuroDisney has that ride? If so, do they sing in French? Hmmmmmm.....🤔 🤣🤣🤣

I just realized I'm wearing blue today 🤦♀️🤣🤣🤣

I wish there was an eject button😆😆

DON'T DO IT!!!!!!!!!!

Do NOT Google either one of them! Your brain will never be the same!

At my old job they were testing out having the agents video chat with potential clients. My worst nightmare. I can handle on online chat, I rather like that option for customer support, but I don't want to look at a stranger or have them look back at me!

I've never heard more than a snippet or two of that song. Thankfully! 😆

That is so sweet! My dad called me Doodle. Have no idea why. Of course my brothers had to add 'dummy' in front of it. Stupid brothers. 😆
-
That's wonderful news! I hope it works out for them. Me? I still have the damn Smurf theme rolling around my head 🤯 Make it stooopppppp!!!

I need this, especially this morning. It started out as one of 'those' days where nothing goes right and extra stuff goes wrong .... tried to shampoo dry hair, shirt on backwards, big dog peed on little dog (again), toothpaste all over the counter. All before 7am of course. On the positive side I learned that I can bathe a dog in less than 8 minutes....I had just dropped my eggs in the water to boil when the dog fiasco happened🤷♀️ Kicker was my husband kissing me goodbye and telling me to have a 'Smurfy day'. Great, now I have la la la la la laaaa, going through my head, 🤦♀️ Is it Friday yet?
-
Surprisingly they did for a change. The dogs behaved too!🤭😆 Have a good night!

Today was kind of a mixed bag. Started with my son pilfering the coffee and leaving roughly enough for half my tumbler that I take to work. 🤨 Then the manager next door asked my manager if I could take her deposit to the bank when I went. So after lunch, texted her I'd be there in a half hour. I get there and she's gone. Maintenance guy says she went to the bank. Without telling me. 🤬 At least the day went by quickly and the chicken I had for lunch was yummy. Hopefully the knees will behave when I walk the dogs in a little bit. They've been pretty bad lately. Ugh. Hope everyone else is having a good evening!

You're spot on chris! David's kids are important to TC, Lyssa especially. She's a lifeline for him. You'll have to wait for thursday to find out how the phone conversation goes! Thanks!
-
TC is definitely making progress. Lyssa is a ray of sunshine for him. I really like including kids in my stories, they have a lot to say and they often provide some comic relief too. You ask a really good question. TC and David ARE friends. It's the 'just' that they have to figure out. Thanks for commenting!
