Golly! You've such good ideas I feel redundant. I'm sorry but you have a bit if a wait until Mort appears on the scene. But surely, these five young men are capable of setting the world to rights? Have faith, young man. I have the impression that JECHIS has taken over the 'Dark Web' to use in its dark agenda. Dark times ahead, I fear.

Disturbing indeed. But tell me, Okiegrad, what has religion to do with morality? - the basic behavioural precepts of the current three big religions are identical to those that have guided humans since the dawn of time - from hunter gatherers two hundred thousand years ago until today. The current, relatively recent bunch of wannabe overlords simply took them and many of the other myths of popular beliefs, repackaged and pretended they invented them. Clever, but not ethical.

Be afraid... be very afraid - we are headed into the deepest, darkest side of human nature without a compass - only our five trusty heroes between us and whatever foul events await. -
Yeah, Lance didn't have a hope. However, can you imagine any of my heroes looking away? I'm trying not to be insulted. I'm pretty sure Fidel and his four trusty sidekicks will do their damnedest to put a spanner in the works.

Thanks for the link - shock horror!!!! No child may see a naked adult, their lives will be destroyed, they will never be able to enjoy a normal sex life - in the dark fully clothed with only genitals exposed. I despair. -
An imaginative solution to the name - it makes mine seem somewhat prosaic. You are correct about the political landscape - Here religion dictates the votes of far too many politicians - because they hold the balance of power in so many electorates. Worrying times indeed, as there are so many historical and recent precedents for a backwards leap into the theocratic serfdom of the Middle Ages. Thanks for your thoughtful comment.

I don't think Lance and his merry band had anything to do with JECHIS - although that shadowy organisation would possibly have eventually enlisted him as an enforcer had he lived. I imagine the lookout just ran away in search of another bad boy to assist in bashing somebody for fun and profit - as they do. The policeman was just speculating, attributing the explosion to JECHIS - which was fortunate for Bart. The amputated toe was dried then worn on special occasions on a silver chain around Robert's neck, until eaten by a mouse one night. -

I don't think you are supposed to apply rational questioning to religions - that's not their purpose. Meanwhile, according to the pundits in which I have total faith, the bad times are a-coming, and JECHIS is just one possibility - please do not have nightmares. Most likely we will all simply be drowned in tsunamis or cooked alive in soaring temperatures, or die of thirst when the water evaporates, or starve, or be crushed in food riots... -
