It is certainly very selfish, Timothy. I agree totally, especially considering the scientific prognoses. Another thing that astonishes me is that many refugees that have been in camps for years with no hope of release, still produce babies.

Arcadia has not yet descended... give them time. The resuscitation our heroes are contemplating will doubtless not meet your approval - but patience, dear Canuk, Patience - all will be revealed.

    You're a pessimist?

The house lights dimmed and an amber spotlight played on the blue curtains, which parted just enough to reveal Penelope in a spotlessly white doctor’s coat, neat little cap on curly blonde hair, a multitude of tinkling bracelets, several gold necklaces, drop earrings, baby-doll makeup, and her trademark white, ankle-snapping high-heeled shoes. She was standing beside a tall, ornately carved, polished wood cabinet containing several cupboards and drawers and shelves with flasks of coloured liquid

After a night of little sleep but much pleasure, Hylas tiptoed downstairs, poached four eggs, fried half a dozen cloves of garlic, sliced two tomatoes, made tea and toast, set one end of the table, then stood at the bottom of the stairs and called, ‘Come and get it or I’ll throw it out.’ Seconds later, Hercules was beside him grinning in delight. ‘A real breakfast! Can’t remember the last one. I usually grab a hunk of bread, a few nuts and a glass of water. You’ll make me soft.’ ‘You mus

We are in accord - ain't that nice. I'm not allowed in the room when my partner's watching the 'News" because I hurl abuse and froth at the mouth. He is capable of silent loathing - I'm not. Oasis wasn't a prison until JECHIS forced them into it. It was just a fun theme park in 'Mortaumal' - although I would not like to have to dress up all the time and be polite. I don't see Oasis as a place for 'libertines'. They all have a strong sense of moral rectitude and responsibility in their daily lives. That they intellectually choose to accept the reality of sexual and other activity in their plays and dealings with the Savages, is the result of being freethinkers - not debauchery. [I think]

Oasis is nestled in a crater, surrounded by endless suburban boxes - no farmland within coo-ee. Your suggestion of growing their own food, is so sensible I will ask the Noble Savages if they can do something about it. Enjoy the calm and prepare for the storm - was my godmother's advice on my 21st birthday when she officially relinquished the burden of care and told me not to expect any inheritance when she quit this mortal plain. Rational caring - I'll have to think about that.

Thank you Gene... you have a mind that appreciates good things, and discriminates wisely. ICH is also interesting. As for JECHIS trampling through Oasis.... hope springs eternal but seldom moves mountains or whatever the saying is.

I love it - you watch TV to see the hunks... That's what the internet's for, dummy. I sure couldn't bear to live like the Noble Aristocrats, but I wouldn't mind joining Hercules' gang of savages. ...well... if I was a few years younger.

The gatekeeper was tall and overweight with pale skin, light brown beard, tight uniform, soft jaw, regular teeth and small eyes. He didn’t smile when demanding their identification, which Mort offered to scan while he supervised the strip search. After removing their clothes, the five men took a shower then had their hair combed, mouths inspected and anuses probed. Declared clean, they dressed, were ushered out to their inspected vehicles and followed Mort over a slight ridge then along tree sha

Your perspicasity impresses - yeah - god-for- blokes/blokes-for-blokes it's all the same. I hope, by 'softy', you were referring to my character - my body is honed to perfection. BTW, I haven't a Paddington, only my old Teddy with odd buttons for eyes. You got the bubble butt for breakfast correct - the rest is slender, smooth and hard.

You read my mind, Wesley. Let's hope they meet - but how?

You're as bad as me, Skyacer - It's a relief to know there's another sane 'doom & gloom' man on the planet. No safe place - a chilling thought.
  14. Rigby Taylor
Yes to one of the questions, Skyacer. Well done. But which one? That is the question.

    Piper

Rigby Taylor commented on Hellsheild's story chapter in Piper

You can write humour very well - lots of great asides and images "(Solid response, I wasn't expecting War and Peace)" "AAAARRRRRRGGGG! EMOTE DAMMIT! Do I need to jam forks in my eye sockets to get some reaction out of you?!)" there are many amusing snippets equally funny. But you really ought to re-read it aloud to yourself before pressing the 'publish' button. This one for starters - Now my rank can the whole school hierarchy was that of outcast even of the outcasts ask. This a seriously funny story and worth more care and a few more commas for clarity. Please write more.

The next morning’s sky was a heavy, dull yellow. ‘Looks threatening.’ Hylas remarked. ‘Looks like a typhoon.’ ‘We don’t have them.’ ‘We do, but we call them tropical storms and cyclones.’ ‘What's in a name?’ ‘Not much if you're in the path of one.’ ‘Speaking of things to avoid, after two nights here I reckon motels and other such establishments belong on that list.’ ‘Agreed. I hate sleeping in a bed someone else has slept in. What mites might inhabit the mattress

Thanks for putting us straight on this issue - up until now I've been thinking it's run by god for god by blokes - silly me. North of Cairns it doesn't get any better... wilder and madder if my memory of Cooktown serves me. And that's only a few hundred kilometres north...

Surely, Wesley, the greatest compliment you can give an animal is to make it become part of your own body, by eating it. Molecules of that kangaroo [and the rats] will forever remain embedded in the bodies of our heroes. It's poetic.

    Justice and a Fire

Rigby Taylor posted new chapter in Fidel

In the prison wagon, Fidel, whose face registered total confusion, turned to Hylas and shook his head in astonishment. ‘Who the fuck was that woman? Did you know her?’ Hylas’s astonishment was genuine and covered the nanosecond it took him to reply. ‘Never seen the stupid cow before,’ he snapped angrily. ‘I thought you must know her when she called you over. What was it all about?’ ‘She’d left her husband and needed money, so tried to sell me that crappy thing she was wearing round her n

    Unpleasantness

    I wouldn't dare!

A very good question. Not knowing what's happening to your loved ones must be the most terrible feeling ever. Helplessness... A true nightmare.
  22. Rigby Taylor
Hope springs eternal in your far too nice breast that ordinary people will rise up and sacrifice themselves for others.... not going to happen, I reckon. I wouldn't - would you?
  23. Rigby Taylor
You made me laugh! Thanks wesley.
  24. Rigby Taylor
You put it well. And unfortunately, it is exactly like that for Yemenis, Libyans, Iraqis, Syrians, in danger of getting that way for Lebanese, & lots of powerful people are determined to make Iranians suffer the same fate... and probably loads more countries. We have been, and remain for now at least, very, very privileged to be on the side with the biggest guns.

Curses! Foiled again by the fickle finger of intelligence - I'll bet you can't work out what sort of sweetness and light are on the horizon...
