Can Mason for just five minutes not be an insufferable tool? There has to be a legal loophole that lets the boys savagely beat him to death, I'm sure. Good guy Anders for not putting up with his BS. Ain't nobody got time for homophobia or just general prattiness. The gay mentor thing between Cody and Tim continues to be adorable! And Zoe's prospects are looking bright - good guy Trick comes through again! If it were my story, Anders would go out of his way to use their past to drive a wedge between the boys and steal Trick for himself. I have to say, I am REALLY glad you're the one who authored this and not me. XD ❤️ It was another lovely chapter and I'm scared to finish!

Hahahaha if only fellows here shared those sentiments 😏 Anders (seriously this is offputting!) would have been such a lovely pick for Trick if our beautiful bully-turned-angel didn't arrive first, but since he did, rack off and find your own sweetheart. Aww I see what Trick's doing there with the Zoe and the Theo. Such a kind soul! The chapter felt a bit short (that's not a criticism, I just want moooore!) but it was incredibly sweet!

That Brad and Zoe plot twist! I like a plot twist or two! Good choice I think! At least neither one of them will be wondering anymore. 😮 The confidence that Trick has when Cody is with him, though! He didn't die on the inside when Mason displayed the lack of maturity and personal development he's made in four long years. Good on Anders (HAHA) making his feelings clear and telling Mason to get lost. I don't know whether it's a cason of Mason being a closet gayson or if he's just a disgrason. Maybe we'll get lucky and he'll trip into a volcano or something - but I do question how anyone could be with Dickfason for more than a few minutes without noticing the homophobia. It oozes from him like a lanced cyst.

Aside from his name being Anders, this new guy seems pretty swish, but stay in your lane, dude. This is Cody territory you're trying to merge into. I'd like very much for Cody to kick Mason's stupid unrepentant twat face in - but what I want might not be what's best for him. 😕 it's a dilemma, and I can't wait to see how it unfolds! It was really upsetting to see how seeing Mason was able to undo all the progress and good Cody helped Trick make. Zoe and Brad... naw :3 took their bloody time, but it was sweet!!

Trick's parents were awfully amiable when meeting someone who wasn't just a bully, but basically permanently scarred their son so badly he had to leave his friends to go to a new school. I'm a bit confused, but good on them! If they're seeing how happy their son is with Cody - who appears to have grown up - then I guess that was a bullet well dodged. I can't imagine for a moment they're yet ready to forgive and forget, but recognising that Trick is an adult and capable of making choices like this for himself really saved it for me. Anyway, that hoodie :3 :3 :3 Trick you romantic little muffin, I made an audible noise when I read that. That's so sweet! What I wouldn't give to have a date like that some time! I loved the handholding, too - and the naughty butt grab. Cody you minx.

Heeeeeey Trick realises that Cody might have had feelings too! That's a pretty big step! This going slow thing and letting whatever relationship their having evolve and flourish on its own is a great idea! There's so much they need to work through. Major props for Cody (to think I called him Douchebag Cody!) for being mature and strong-willed enough to make things right, and props to Trick for giving Cody a chance - it might be the best decision either of them has ever made. This open and honest communication and bonding warms my cold, cynical heart! They're gonna be just fine. And if they're not, we're gonna have words.

For some reason the site isn't letting me quote! So bear with me. "Before he knew it, Cody gently placed his hand on Trick’s cheek. Perfectly synchronized, they leaned in, closed their eyes..." It's taken EIGHT chapters but I've finally found something that bothers me a little - just those two words, I think! The kiss scene was gorgeous! Cute, beautifully written and exactly what I wanted - I think even blushed a little - but that doesn't quite feel right. They're both complex characters with a lot of baggage: Trick is distrustful and sometimes resentful whereas Cody is full of self-loathing and guilt. Their one major constant is that they've been in love with each other for a very long time, so if that shines past their faults, flaws and insecurities and unites them in a moment of sweet, loving affection, I am SO down for that ❤️ It's just that a perfectly synchronised kiss between two such characters at this point feels a bit awkward - but that's probably me being a cynical person at my core. 😜 I really did love that scene and I look so forward to expanding on it in more chapters! I enjoyed the trip down memory lane - Cody's development is probably my favourite part of Trick Me Once at the moment! It's brilliantly paced and he's more complex and interesting every time we explore him. I especially loved when he told Mason where to go with the horse he rode in on! Awesome chapter, of course. Maybe even my favourite thus far!

Where were you when I was choosing besties? 😘 “Meh, it wasn’t bad, but David Suchet is the only Poirot for me.” - You're goddamn right Nyaaawh I'm glad you're writing this and not me! It's fluffy and lovable and I'm hoping there'll be a lot of joy for both boys! I need to keep reminding myself that Cody has a lot of baggage on his own, living in the knowledge that the guy he loved moved to another school to get away from him. Zoe's a terrific friend - totally real with Trick about what's going on, warning him that it might go pear shaped but also giving him the space to make these decisions for himself. We all need a Zoe! Even if her popcorn game is weak. ❤️ Terrific chapter! Rather sweet!

Oh gosh, Brad was the one who confronted Cody - I was really, really hoping for Zoe to have a reprise of her savage conversation with him rather than Brad! When Cody first wanted to turn over the new leaf, Zoe didn't want to hear it. Maybe later Brad continues to be the unsung hero of this story to me! Big fan. Okay you win, I'm firmly behind Cody now - he's owning the horrible things he did the past and I gotta forgive him. ❤️

Uggggh this is too addictiiiiive! ❤️ I'm concerned for Patrick, though. It's established every so often that he's just unable to move past / stop blaming Cody and co. for the problems he faces nowadays - and it's so hard to blame him for that. Bullying does permanent damage and it's a little too real to read about it. Trust is so easily earned and so easily squandered - Cody *does* deserve to go through the ringer for everything he did, but you've done a terrific job in making me feel sympathetic towards him as well! I really hope Trick can make peace with those demons - hate is a powerful but terrible force. Terrific chapter, one of my favourites thus far! A minute after he sat down, two men and a woman came and sat at a table behind his, ordering tea and muffins. As Cody started looking around to see if Trick was there, one of the men quickly put up his newspaper in front of his face. Cody paid no attention to them, still waiting for Trick to arrive. I saw that shifty move, if that doesn't lead to something, I'll be so mad!

I've been playing Diablo II since I could walk! So you're automatically in my top five authors right now, and I'm absolutely convinced that Patrick can do no wrong from this point forward. Douchebag Cody has lost his negative adjective and is now simply Cody. Aww how can he not grow on you? School was a long time ago. Patrick's going to make it hard on everyone, but after the miseries Cody and co put him through, I don't blame him one bit for being a bit prickly. A cliffhanger? That's awesome - I love being goaded into reading the next chapter luckily I'm late to the party! Lovely story, from what I've seen so far. Thoroughly enjoyable, and I'm doing a minor crush on Brad. Can't help it. ❤️ He respected Trick enough not to read his letter, and that's a trustworthy man right there!
