You absolutely should. I read the series when I was younger and absolutely loved it and grabbed every book of it that I could get my hands on.

I agree with most of what Shadow said. I'm not sure about the dream signaling Taryn's death. I'm just not sure what to think of that other than Justin is obsessed with protecting Taryn above all else so it makes sense that he would dream of Taryn being in danger and needing protection. I do agree that Rage being there could be an indication that he has at least picked up Justin's "scent" if not having found them completely. I have to wonder how the Jeweler's people would handle him. I could totally see that Justin and Taryn leaving being a huge advantage to the Elder's people in capturing him. Speaking of the Elders, they seem rather inconsistent when it comes to Rage. They have sent kill teams after vampires for must less destruction than Rage has caused. He did cause a hospital to basically be all but torn apart. Sort of hard to hide that from the normals. I have to wonder if the Elders lack of action is an indication that they had a hand in creating and shaping who Rage became to be. I keep asking myself "who turned Rage, why did they turn him." I have to wonder if he is a rabid pet of the Elders. Whether he knows it or not. But as Shadow said. Awesome chapter and I can't wait to see how badly this unfolds for Justin. (It will, it always does because he acts and then thinks).

I wasn't meaning the awful things that David was doing. I was meaning like when Ricky got tied to his bed or when his suitcase was left outside, or when all of the egg shells were on the floor, until I knew that it was Elliot that was getting Ricky back for the dog collar and the attempted eating dinner out of a dog dish. I had really thought that Brent or Cody were joining in the fun and pranking the prankster. Being fun and well meaning poltergeists if you will.

I had really thought that the unexplained pranks earlier were from Cody or Brent picking up the slack and starting to play around with the family in "good spirits", heh.

Like the chills or temperature drops or touching the people when it's clear that nobody could have done it. Or making objects move around. Things that a poltergeists would do but doing it in humor and jest and to be a part of their family again in their own way.

I was thinking with the haunted house, they could do things to make the experience more authentic 😁

I mean if Cody and Brent wanted to assist from the other side that would be pretty awesome. David Hubbard certainly showed that it was possible. But maybe it's only possible if you have enough hate.

I know I haven't commented before but I love your story a lot and I would love to see another book
