This has probably been the most emotionally charged chapter that I have read in any story of this series and this has to be said, you did it justice. Gianni is already on his own emotional roller coaster, then he experiences what must seem like a day from hell. Knowing that your child is going to school nervous about what the day will bring is enough for most. Then throw into the mix Marco's troubles where Gianni tries to support him against his father, only to have the father turn on him, leaving a weak-willed mother in the background. All of this remains bubbling over in his mind all day which raises his boss's concerns. The day isn't over when he meets Sami from school only to find that his day has not gone as it should and has been subjected to some form of discrimination. Add to that a bedtime conversation that couldn't have gone worse for him and Sami, it's no wonder that inner feelings that have, until now, remained dormant now resurface. I applaud Gianni for giving it his all, but he needs some professional support. Angelo is being a good supportive life partner but he too needs proper support. I fear for what could come if the right help and support is not forthcoming.

CJ By Carlos Hazday - Series Discussion
Mancunian replied to Carlos Hazday's topic in Promoted Author Discussion Forum
Something isn't sitting well with me and doesn't feel right. It is very unlike @Carlos Hazday to post like he has and unlike @Carlos Hazday to not respond to posts on his stories. I have messaged him and as yet I have not received any reply, again this is not the @Carlos Hazday that I know. I'm hoping that everything is well with him and wish only good things for him, I am also worried for and about him. I have my fingers crossed that we will hear from him soon. 🤞- 3,873 replies

That would be a difficult conversation for any fourteen-year-old to have, for Bryan and Kenny it is more than difficult. Kenny is now aware of Bryan's feelings but wants a more direct and clear answer if he can give Bryan the time that he needs then maybe things will turn out as they both want, but young love isn't that easy. They both need to understand more of what the other is going through, that is where an adult's intervention could make a huge difference, let's hope that one of them sees and understands that.

The weather does appear to be reflective of Gianni's mood, if he isn't careful he could enter depression. I think that his thoughts about parenthood are not only based on thinking that he and Sami would bond over their common misfortune of losing parents but also on an idealised childhood that he remembers, memories that are possibly not as accurate as reality. While there does appear to be support forth-coming from Angelo and friends where are the local authorities that should be supporting them? Sami is clinging to his memories, they may be painful but they are all he has of his parents and family, it will be hard for him to accept others in that role, those trying to fill that role could be seen as the enemy in a child's eyes. Reza may be of some help, but will it be enough? Or will he want to assume a parental role to Sami? Gianni is trying to be a good parent to Sami but he is feeling rejected as nothing is going as smoothly as he expected, I can see many problems in the future unless the right help and support is forth-coming.

The story is flowing naturally and almost makes you feel like you're there. Gianni is trying to do the right thing for Sami by making Christmas something special like it is for most children, but this could cause some confusion if he gets help to enable Sami to practice his faith at birth, so I hope he will be sensitive to this issue. The idea to split the birthday celebrations apart from the Christmas celebrations is a good idea but is a good idea to share the celebrations with someone who you hardly know, especially if her mother appears to have her sights set on something so upmarket that it's not natural for Angelo and Gianni. As for the sprout debate well, like some, I hated them as a child but like them as an adult, I'm open to trying them wrapped in bacon and roast it sounds tasty. But have others lost sight of the age-old tradition of having sprouts for Christmas dinner which then end up in the trash? It's been going on for years.

What a delight to come across another story in the Ravello series. To make it even better the differences sit well with the other stories. The change in season can only help us to appreciate the town more, strange as it may seem but it's true to say that it will be the same but different due to the change of season. Angelo and Gianni are grown men, not the teens that we were introduced to, making this story a continuation of their lives. The biggest change, which we were introduced to at the end of the previous story, is that they are also foster parents. This is a great start to this new story with Gianni experiencing mixed feelings about their 'new' home. Moving into his late grandparent's home will have many memories, some good and some not so good as it became his home after losing his parents, hopefully making new and happy memories will ease his mind. The doubts about doing the right thing are normal for any parent and especially a foster parent, these feelings will naturally be magnified in this scenario as they are from a Christian background and Sami is from a Muslim background. While there may be some similarities there are also many differences, they would benefit from support in this matter, and I hope they seek and receive it.

I'm seriously pissed! I'm off.

Really? I remember kids with those skills from my very early years at school, it took less than a week for my parents to take me out of school. They had serious concerns about my health and well-being, I was then home-schooled until I was fourteen. I only stayed in school then because I insisted on it, but I still remember the treatment I received. If it wasn't for the one friend I had I could have been seriously hurt or worse.

I do wonder what will be taught to the children in French schools 🤔

Let @clochette have this one, we don't want any more tantrums in the playground

I'm not an old man, this 42-year-old was faster than you and I'm too much of a gentleman to strike a lady, but I may set the swans on you lol

This is for @clochette

They can fly as well.

They can swim, if they couldn't they would drown every time they went on the water, lol. In times gone by they were considered a noble bird, often eaten by the nobility until The Monarchy laid claim to them. Serving roast swan at the table was considered a statement of wealth. It is now illegal to eat swan, however as The Monarch is considered above the law King Charles could technically eat swan if he wished.

The King, all that was hers is now his. I just don't know what he will do with all of the Tena Lady's etc, lol.

I agree with you both, these teasers are both tantalising and tormenting. I'll bet @Carlos Hazday is having a good laugh at us all, I know I would if I was Carlos, lol. I do have one other theory, it is possible that Carlos it is letting everyone know that he is working on new stories which may take time to complete before they are posted.
-
Knowing @Carlos Hazday it's a lot of both, lol
-
Are you posting another teaser, lol
-
Aloha Albert, I hope the weather is treating you kindly

Hi everyone. The UK is now officially in a heatwave and it's forecast to last all week and through the weekend at least. I feel like I'm slowly melting.
