Aloha Albert, I wish I could send some of the rain that we have, I'd be glad to be rid of it and I'm sure you would appreciate some of it.

Thank you for the comments, I always love to hear from readers. First, I will apologise for the lack of stories recently. I have been busy with real-life projects that have taken up time. Many ideas are floating around in my head for more stories. One or two are currently being worked on. As they say, 'Watch this space'. You never know what will happen.

Hi Terry, the weekend is looking good I get a chance to catch up on a bit of admin, and hopefully no night shifts for a few weeks 🤞, but never say never lol.

Many shelters for homeless people place a limit on how many nights a guest can stay, it does not mean that they cannot return but the guest is then asked to spend a few nights away before returning. This means that others can then have a brief respite from sleeping on the streets as they cannot accommodate everyone at the same time. There is a lot that goes on in these Shelters that many do not realise, cleaning the shelter and bedding is one of the larger tasks that have to be taken care of and is only part of it, there is much more that goes on in the background. I'm glad that the story has helped to give some context to the homeless situation and what homeless people live through, but this story only touches the surface of the situation, it can be and in many ways, it is so much harder and grittier for those that find themselves homeless. The continuation stories will touch on more of their reality, but it will never be as real as being homeless. Thank you for reading and commenting, every reader's comments are important to me.

So you admit you are a Hobbit

Bryan is digging himself deeper into the hole he has put himself in. The only hope of getting out of it is to start being upfront with Diego about what is going on, deleting messages will only make matters worse. As for Bryan's relationship with Kenny, well, it would be his own fault if Kenny ended things. I don't think Kenny will, but that says more for Kenny than it does for Bryan. I'm rapidly getting to the point of advocating Bryan getting a hard slap, but that wouldn't resolve anything.

A well-written chilling tale of retribution. Was Dashel right or wrong in his actions? There will be different answers from readers and different reasons for giving their answers. Tom and Dashel were trying to live a peaceful life helping others, because they were different was the reason for the treatment they received, the same applies to Sam. There will always be people who will discriminate against those who are different, this story is a reminder of that. That reminder leaves me feeling uncomfortable.

WOW, and I mean it, WOW. Creating a world and characters that as you read feel very real, you become embroiled in the story. It is a difficult read to start with, making you question what is going on here. Luckily the gruesome start does not continue through the story, but it does set a mood and pace that grips you. You feel for La'gan as his friend begs him to commit unspeakable acts so as to lessen his torture. I'm not going to say anymore, I don't want to give anything away before you read. What I will say is, read it, it is a brilliant gripping story that will not disappoint. Worth ten stars this is a recommended read.

The torture that his mate, his lover, had to endure. Like La'gan you question the justice of such actions, the only other who would question them is away on a trading mission. By luck, or was it the gods, Tomolo is spared the same fate as Marekh and as his health returns so does his will to live. This sets in motion a series of events that brings down the man behind the atrocities that are befalling what was a peaceful village and way of life. I'm happy and relieved that the village and its people will have the opportunity to recover and return to a better way of life. It appears to me that The Chronicles are loosely based on the teachings of The Bible and this story could be seen as a warning of what could be if some governments and politicians have their way Written with skill, and care for the storyline, the story appeals on many levels, even though it is not a genre that I would normally read. Whoever the SA is they should continue this story or write others based in the same world, it's brilliant. Sorry to ramble on, but I think you can guess I really like this story.

That's great and the result I wished for, now I'm wishing for lots more dates for you. 🤞

A really good short story about two brothers reconnecting after years apart. It's one that leaves you wanting more. I hope we get a follow-up in the future.

A great tale of two brothers reconnecting. A story packed full of emotion, love, regret and hope. It leaves me wanting to know more about them and wanting to know what the full story is behind Cloud Rider. I want to know what happens next, simply I want more. But then isn't that the way a good story should leave you? The SA has given us what we want, a great short story, and left us hungry for more, I hope when the authors are revealed this author will continue the story.

Secret Author Story Contest... Still Going!
Mancunian commented on Cia's blog entry in Gay Authors News
I haven't got a clue as to who wrote what, but I know I've enjoyed reading every story posted. It has even got me to read genres that I usually wouldn't and I've enjoyed those too. It's a great way to discover other genres to read. -
Taking height into consideration, I'd have said The Penguin and The Joker
-
I'll bet I can guess which one of you is the Joker.
-
I didn't bully you, I only spoke the truth. I leave the bullying and tyranny to you.

This is deranged
-
Well, you would know all about being deranged,

You're just a little out of date

Umm, well, if you shut your eyes so you can't see the scars I look good

What? How? Is that even legal? All Canadians are lumberjacks (or lumbersnacks as we now know them) All Aussies are bronzed, speedo wearing surfers and of course all Texans are studly cowboys… isn’t that the law? Hey, where do us Brits figure in this? Can't you find something to say about us too?
