  1. Speak for yourself, Gary. but, yea... Hi, Bucket!
  2. Laughter is always good! Just as long as you're laughing with me, and not at me.
  3. That should keep you and Cookie fed warm over the winter.
  4. Hey, Gary! Fine mansion you have there.
  5. So Gary has an oven large enough to roast full grown adults?
  6. G'day, young Albert!
  7. Gingerbread... Now why am I thinking Hansel and Gretel?
  8. Morning, all. Dull, overcast day here, with the occasional shower. Currently 15°C/59°F with a high expected of 18/64. Looks like the lawn won't get mown today... Have a short Zoom meeting at noon, after which I'll probably do a few more hours stripping wallpaper. This week I don't have to head out for the voluntary work I'm involved with some Thursday evenings, so I may take the opportunity to edit another chapter of a novel someone has asked me to edit. Hope you all have a good day.
  9. Just as long as he doesn't expect physical proof...
  10. Then again, maybe this is how some of you view me...
  11. I decided that, in view of certain people's recent comments, I should perhaps share the following with you...
  12. I'm not Tim, but you'll find it here, Albert: It was maybe the fact that Tim said that the author is called "Brian" that threw you, Albert (as it did me at first). He writes on GA using the pseudonym @lomax61.
  13. To be honest with you, I very seldom read a story on GA until it is shown as Complete. But I'm willing to make an exception for this one.
  14. I think the following key on your keyboard might be faulty, Gary...
  15. No, young Albert. I am, I can assure you, 100% male.
  16. Hi, Gary! All good here. Hope your day goes great as well.
  17. Coming along nicely, thanks. The lawn could do with a cut, but we had rain overnight and the grass is still damp. Hopefully it will be dry tonight and tomorrow.
  18. Hahaha... We deliberately put the ladies in the front row.
  19. Hi, young Albert!
  20. Yesterday was the 33rd anniversary of my father's death. He would be 101 if he were still alive today. Here's a photograph that was taken in 2013 of his eight children stood beside his grave. His age shown on the headstone is incorrect; he was actually 69 when he died.
  21. So sorry to hear that news, Bucket.
  22. Thanks for the heads up, Tim. Just read the first chapter on foot of your recommendation. Definitely looks good.
  23. Hopefully the rain will at least help dampen down some of the dust.
