  1. Stay in the shade, or stay inside with the AC, bro.
  2. Good morning, clo.
  3. But I thought they are called tights because they are tight fitting...
  4. Happy Thursday, all. Beautiful day here. Currently 20°C (68°F) with a high of 24 (75) promised. And the forecast suggests this could continue into the early days of next week. Might make removing the roots of those old bushes a bit more difficult. Yesterday I managed to get another one out, and made a start on a second one. That second one is proving a bit more awkward, but I'll get the bugger out eventually. Might leave it till late evening though, when the day will hopefully have cooled down a little; and there will be shade to work in as well. I'll probably take it easy for much of the day. I'm thinking of mowing the lawn, and maybe preparing a few seed beds for broad beans and peas. And, if the day gets too hot, I could always head indoors and perhaps wash down some of the woodwork.. I've almost finished my second coffee, so I'll head out and actually face the day shortly.
  5. I had a similar problem with the midges (as we tend to call mosquitos over here in Ireland) a few evenings ago, when I was planting out the runner bean seedlings. Fortunately, for me, the itching tends to go away after an hour or so. But how on earth did they manage to get inside your tights!
  6. Sleep well, Albert.
  7. You almost sound surprised!
  8. Well, I'd expect Gary to look. And my original don't get too close to him comment was because I was thinking of Gary's safety in the light of the current pandemic, and had nothing to do with me being jealous, or just not wanting Gary to have some fun himself. I may be a wizzendammer (or whatever the word was that Albert used), but I'm not a killjoy.
  9. Good night, all .
  10. Covid-19 death toll in US has surpassed 100,000 https://www.thejournal.ie/us-covid-19-death-toll-100000-5109569-May2020/ Such sad news.
  11. You said what I was half afraid of saying myself...
  12. I use it on sandwiches & toast, on hot boiled vegetables (such as potatoes), and as the 'oil' for frying omelettes. When I am baking cakes, cookies, and the like, I use the unsalted variety.
  13. I'm just wondering if the butter Kerrygold export to the US is any different to what they sell at home... The unopened packet in my fridge lists the following under Ingredients: Cream, Salt (1.8%), Salted Sweet Cream Butter. Fat 80% minimum. (They really do put the word Cream in bold...)
  14. Awh... Thanks, Albert! You say the nicest things, (*Marty quickly Googles wisenheimer...)
  15. We? I thought you said Steve was going to make them for you...
  16. Eight years ago today I climbed Errigal which, at 751 metres (2,464 ft) above sea level, is the highest point in County Donegal. Errigal was voted "Ireland's Most Iconic Mountain" by Walking & Hiking Ireland magazine in 2009.
  17. Perhaps you should move to Ireland, bro... We don't tend to have extremes of weather.
  18. Seems like only a week or so back that you were complaining of the cold...
  19. Could be this one (but it's supposed to be launched from Florida): https://galwaybayfm.ie/galway-life/spacex-historic-launch-ireland/
  20. Doesn't matter what he looks like! (See my previous comment).
  21. Just don't get too close to him.
  22. Hey, bro! Hope you're having a good day.
  23. Good afternoon, young Albert!
  24. Good morning, duggie.
