Okay, I'm back again...
I find editing my own work can really mess with my head at times. The constant 'Should I add a comma here?' - 'Is this comma really necessary? - 'Could I use a better word here?' - 'Does this really explain what I want to say?' type of questions often leave my mind completely frazzled at times.
I swear I find it easier to edit other people's work than I do my own!
So about an hour before dark I decided to just put the editing to one side for the day and head out into the fresh air for a while, even though it was drizzling a little. And a forty five minute or so walk in the woods really did help to clear my head. Of course, I wasn't going to go without my Trusty Nikon, so I had to take it with me.
I noticed that, in spite of the fact that there's been hardly any sun this past while, the blackberries are flowering well. Hopefully there will be enough bright sunshine in late July and early August to enable them to form full and tasty fruits eventually. I am rather partial to blackberry pie, after all. And, if there's a good crop, maybe I'll have enough to freeze and/or make blackberry jam with...
Anyway, I couldn't resist photographing the blackberry flowers themselves. One nice thing about my Trusty Nikon is that it will take reasonably good photographs even when the light is low, as it was tonight.
