  1. I'm really not sure why Drew and Albert's recent wittle pwetend battle for superiority made me think of the following...
  2. But clo never specified the sex of the elephant... 😛
  3. As an elderly farmer and neighbour said to me years ago, when I used keep a few animals and was bemoaning the unexpected death of a young suckler calf from pneumonia... "The only way to be sure you'll never have trouble with your livestock is to never keep livestock in the first place." Wise words from a wise old man.
  4. Round your place, Albert? The flatulence wind, is it? Or is something happening here in CoTT that I haven't noticed?
  5. A case of Lost in translation....
  6. Good evening, young Albert
  7. Hi right bakatya, Drew Dood! I know sometimes resistance may seem futile, but there really are those few times when it should at least be attempted... Hi, Val, btw!! Howya, Page!
  8. Almost clean shaven.... (I'm getting predictable, aren't I )
  9. Not having a Premium account, I'm actually intrigued as to exactly where Drew made the break to convert it into 2 chapters. Although I suppose I could check that easily enough simply by looking at the word count for chapter 1....
  10. Happens to all of us, my friend. Have you noticed how, if I edit one of my comments on here, I often show "Correcting another of my inevitable typos" as the reason for the edit?
  11. Hi yourself, Gary. And thanks for the kind words. *Resists calling Gary out for his incorrect use of the word you're*
  12. I hope the readers will enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed editing it, @Drew Payne!
  13. G'day, Duggie. Hope the aunt is making a good recovery. And g'day to all the rest of you CoTT-ers.
  14. Sleep well, and pleasant dreams, clo.
  15. I'm not. But I think @dughlas might be...
  16. I didn't bother with dinner today. I met an old friend for a late breakfast near the middle of the day (or brunch, if you like) and consequently didn't fancy a large dinner. I had two slices of homemade wholemeal bread with homemade raspberry jam, and a fresh fruit salad (sliced apple, pear & banana, with a handful of fresh blueberries) instead.
  17. How about ya, Page! (Said in a very thick Belfast accent....)
  18. Just who are you calling a gentleman, Clo??? Back from mine, as well. It was a gentle walk down quiet country back lanes, where I dawdled looking at spring flowers in the verges and hedgerows (including buttercups, lady's smock, vetches, herb Robert, dog daisies, and wild strawberry), watching lambs gambol in the fields, and listening to the birds (the cuckoo was noisy this evening). The "Map my Walk" app on my phone gave the following stats:- (That's just a few yards over 3 miles, and a pace of 24 minutes 54 seconds per mile for those of you who haven't metricated yet 😛 ) Of course I couldn't resist taking some photographs, in spite of the fact that it was drizzling rain most of the walk. Here's a photo of some of the dog daisies:- And here's one of some wild strawberry flowers. I can't wait till the fruits form next month. They may be small, but their taste is exquisite and put cultivated strawberries to shame. And, towards the end of the walk, the clouds obligingly parted just sufficiently to allow the setting sun to make itself known... A perfect end to a perfect day!
  19. No idea. Next question.
  20. Okay, now my head's hurting. Think I'll go for a walk down the country lanes for an hour or so to try to clear it. Catch yous all later, gang!
  21. I'm not sure about that. As I understand it, a single choice means something like yes or no - or stay or go - or true or false. In which case multiple choice would mean that there are more than two options. At least that's what I remember being told when I studied logic when I was in the sixth form many, many years ago... But I could be completely wrong. Maybe my memory is not what it used to be. Could be I'm mixing up choices with options... Maybe we should ask @Drew Espinosa (our resident mathematician?) for his opinion....
  22. Multiple ones?
  23. For Albert's sake, I hope the questions are all multiple choice....
  24. Just what are yous all talking about? I'm getting really confussled here...
