Another one of Yuri Gagarin's reported comments after his space flight: Anecdote in New Age Journal, Vol. 7 (1990), p. 176: When Yuri Gagarin, the first man who went into space, returned to Earth, there was a huge reception in his honor. As his close friend and cosmonaut colleague Alexei Leonov tells it, then premier Nikita Khrushchev cornered Gagarin. "So tell me, Yuri," he asked, "did you see God up there?" Apart from the fact that I love gardening, and it was the huge garden that persuaded me to buy this house, the garden has been my only real way of staying sane during this lockdown.

I finished turning the soil in the pea and bean area of the garden. All the weeds that had sprung up over the winter are now buried. For dinner, I had home-cooked chunky chips (fries) from my own potatoes, and a cheese and mushroom omelette. It was yummy and I feel well satisfied!

Happy Sunday to you, as well, bro! Not that I have a television, but I find myself reading or listening to the news much less nowadays. Although the main reason for that is that it seems to just concentrate on endless depressing and scare-mongering stories about the pandemic. And I have taken to listening to music on the radio more these days instead of 'talk shows'. (Although I do like drama and non-pandemic-related documentaries.)
