    Boyfriends

    *groan* ๐Ÿ˜›
  2. I'm sorta sorry to make people cry. Sorta. ๐Ÿ™‚ Thanks for reading through the tale once more. I've got a little something coming today that you may like. It's a short story ... and I'm gonna make a final pass through it before posting. But it'll be soon.

    Connections

Powerful scene with Markus and Miranda, isn't it? ๐Ÿ˜„ I'm glad you like the story, Nana Atuwa. Thanks for reading and commenting.

    Planning

It took a long time for me to figure out that the social construct of "one man one woman" doesn't work for me, or for many others. Here are examples of people where that just doesn't fit. And it never will. Thanks for reading and for the comment.

    Not Boyfriends

Some problems are not so easily handled. ๐Ÿ˜„ Keep on reading. I hope to surprise you.

    Farmer Wren

    Ohhhh ... just wait! ๐Ÿ˜„

    Broken Blood

More than that is the fact that Wren OWNS their ancestral home. That just rubs salt into a country boy's open wound.

    Papaw

    Is it? Hm.

    Unchained

Nope, not this time. ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thanks for the comment!

    An Ember Burns

Thanks, Nana Atuwa! I'm so happy you liked it! It means a lot that you do, and that you'd take the time to tell me here. There's more from me on the way. I hope to see you there too!

    An Ember Burns

Hehehe. Oh, poor, nervous Aaron. Thanks, KayDeeMac! I was editing the first chapter of the next part of Camp Refuge last night. Not quite through it, but I'm on the way. Then it'll be Thorn's turn to take a crack at it. So ... soon! Oh, there's also a little something else I will put out there too. Maybe today ... it all depends. And what a cute little quote. Where'd you get that from? ๐Ÿ˜›

    An Ember Burns

Thanks, jaysalmn! I love this little crew of characters. This story had a lot of important characters in it, and they made the writing interesting and a challenge too. I have this habit of elevating a very minor character to "major" status mid way through a story (Orson in Camp Refuge, Rhett and Beth here, etc), and I rather like how that works. I think Beth could have used a more "screen time" but other than that, I liked how it turned out.

Thank you, Bft! It was a fun story to write. I'm glad folks enjoyed it. And I rather liked that wedding scene myself! ๐Ÿ™‚ We'll have to see about a book two!

    An Ember Burns

Thank you, Jeffrey! Iโ€™m happy it could touch you. Thatโ€™s the idea, to evoke emotion from the reader. Thereโ€™s more coming from me soon. When it starts, I hope to see you there too! ๐Ÿ™‚

    An Ember Burns

I like these characters a lot. They grew, and changed, yet remained who they were. They just leaned on each other to become who it was that they were meant to be. I appreciate that you read and enjoyed it. Thanks for that.

Nope! Find some other slash writer!

    Revelation

Thanks for commenting! You know, Troy was already worried his relationship might be in trouble, thanks to how Grant was behaving over the week or so before this scene. So in a way, this was a relief to him. Yeah, at first he was mad and upset. But John helped, and he felt relief that Grant wasn't having second thoughts about them.

    Thank you. I try. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Integration

That doesn't sound perfect. Frankly, that sounds boring.

Thanks, and I'm working on it. You stay safe too. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Integration

Thanks, KayDeeMac. I honestly think showing characters with social and physical limitations is important. It's important because it shows those who might struggle with the exact same issues examples of people thriving regardless. And ... it's just more real. Nobody is picture perfect. Nobody.

    An Ember Burns

I encourage anybody who's interested to write that one. ๐Ÿ˜›
  23. Thanks, KayDeeMac! Sandra has really had to take a hard look at her life now that she knows and is reminded of her mortality. I guess that will do it to a person.
  24. Wayne Gray

    Revelation

Thanks! I'm glad you approved of how this was handled. It was a really sticky spot for Grant, that's for sure!
