I totally get where Caleb's feelings come from, but damn, enough is enough. It's so painful to watch people out themselves into a self imposed exile. And getting shot on top of it? Hopefully it'll give the others the chance to help Caleb stay the healing process. Awesome start, @kbois.

I've wrestled with whether or not to write a review for this story. I didn't write one for Spirit Wolves, not because it wasn't an exceptionally phenomenal story, it was and so much more. My concern for writing a review for this series has been the thought of what I could add, or say that wasn't said before. "Shadow Effect" and it's predecessor, "Spirit Wolves" are awe inspiring, beautifully crafted, and they feed every one of your inner soul's cravings. Whether you look for romance, action, adventure, insight into the unsettling darkness and sociopathic tendency that resides in humanity, the uneclipsed hope that fuels the desire in the core of our beings, humor that speaks to anyone who's ever laughed so hard they've shed tears of joy, and most importantly, the love that overcomes all evil and hatred. It's all contained in the words of this story. @kbois I cannot express verbally the joy, and gratitude I feel because of your heartfelt creation of art. You are truly a blessed and gifted author, and are very much worthy of the praise you've received and will receive in the future. Thank you for all the time, energy, love, and compassion you've poured into this story. It's more than a work of fiction, it's transcended to become a living entity.

Kage-O-Matic is freakin' priceless. I love the term. And, the vision of the spiked collars was hysterical. This was a big step for the boys.

Poor Ty, hope he didn't hurt his head. Yes! I knew there was something to the emotions and the pull towards the twins Elijah was getting.

I LOVE Becca and Devin. They are freakin' awesome and have the most healthy outlook and seem to be in the healthiest place of any of the parents the boys have come across. Something tells me they'd be a great source of help for all the parents of abducted pups.

Hmm, twins with blue and green eyes, combined with E and Ty havibgthe same dream about multicolored wolves. My thought is Ty and E have had their first real glimpse at their mates. The emotion in their reaction is just too strong to not mean anything.

Hmm, maybe Elijah's seeing flashes of the man who'll be his fated mate, and is being led to him by Kage's residual energy. It would make sense, especially when you remember Elijah first felt the warmth when he had the thought of looking for the twins who've been gone the longest first.

Amazing reunion for everyone. This should go a long way in healing Elijah and Tyler from their loss of Neall. Holy chapter warp, @kbois. I'm about to start chapter 30...WTF On a side note, I did start working on the final chapter of my story Love Is Everything. It's taken me a few starts and restarts to get to what feels like the right beginning.

And this is where you'd hear Dolly backed by a choir singing... "He's alive! He's alive! He's alive and I'm forgiven. Heaven's gates are open wide."

Damn, I feel bad for Tim, Dottie, their pack, and the boys. The good thing is Neall is out of the pain and misery he was subjected to. The reality is death may have been better, who knows how his traumatic experience was gonna affect him in the near and distant future. Even with the best therapy, and the most loving support system, some people never recover from a significant traumatic event in their lives, and the aftermath is sometimes harder to deal with than dealing with the death itself. In either scenario there's a sense of loss for the person the traumatized individual was before. At least Elijah and Tyler are able to lift each other up and keep going. I'm so proud of these guys.

Hmm this does not bode well. Obviously, something, or someone's died in the closed up room.

Tyler is so compassionate and too a point empathic. I have a feeling it's gonna really hit him when they start seeing the pups they rescue first hand.

Just a thought. Instead of Tim and Dottie, it would've been epic if you named them Karen and Richard Carpenter. Like I said, just a thought from a Carpenters fan who's collected all their studio albums. LOL

And I did. Can't help it, it's the wise owl inside me. LOL

It seems Elijah's probably found his new home, who knows, maybe Tyler's found himself a new home with the pack as well.
