I'm so glad you loved Woodstock's showing up V. That was an idea that came to me right as I was typing out the scene. I wanted Cillian to have something material to show Devon why he wouldn't have made fun of him. At first I was gonna give him a unicorn with a rainbow colored horn, but I mentally smacked myself because Woodstock wasn't the first and most obvious thought for me. LOL "I loved Cillian saying he thought WS was just as ticklish as Snoopy. LOL The teens are sooo adorably child-like one minute and mature the next. And bringing out Sam's inner child and letting him have the freedom to explore his missed youth because he chose to be the Dad Devon deserved and needed is awesome. That's why I made Taylor a bit older than Sam, and have established him as the pseudo adult of the family. Not that Sam's not an adult, but he really deserves the chance to be the kid he gave up.

This is an amazing start, I'm totally hooked. I love your descriptions, the emotional depth of your characters is on a level, many authors, myself included aspire to. I loved your quote from Shakespeare. The emotions you stirred up in me...Wow! I can't wait to see what's next.

I started out with the idea of Lev being kidnapped, the family getting hysterical, and then Lev being found. However, the characters wanted to have the chance to let their emotions and true feelings for Lev and one another shine through. Also, the title wouldn't have fit if I'd had Lev found in this chapter. I wasn't sure if I could fill the chapter with enough interaction with just the family in the hospital, but it all came together. And, unlike the original, this felt much more believable and it's not everyone being thrown in together without having any knowledge whatsoever about one another. I LOVE this blended family. They're so amazing with one another. Don't worry Chris, I promised you no lasting harm would come to the main characters.

I loved the playful teasing Sam and Taylor gave each other and the boys. Hehe It was awesome seeing Sam, acting and sounding just like Devon when Taylor tickled his feet just after saying he wasn't ticklish and sleeping. Thanks BL I've read those stories too, and the ones with kids so afraid of being outed they're either scared of taking chances or they lash out at everyone else. While, I completely understand and sympathize with both mindsets, I don't think it's a positive portrayal of being gay. I tend to like strong gay men, who are comfortable in their own skin and don't give into bullying. Part of this comes from the fact that while I didn't think I was a rainbow flag waiving gay youth, I actually was. A friend of mine pointed out to me, yeah, you said the obligatory I like girls in high school. Even kissed a few, but you came out as bi at 16 and then fully came out at 18. He then told me, Andy, you didn't come out of the closet, you came out of the French doors. LOL And, I've never had sex with a woman, so that's why I tend to write stories with boys who are gay and not afraid. My parents didn't try to dissuade me from my sexuality, they just didn't talk about sex, period. LOL

Mike Stetson and Robbie Hartford are both fifteen. The two boys were born and raised living beside each other. Mike's Dads and Robbie's Dads met in college, and formed a lasting brotherhood. The two couples bought a hundred acres of land, built their main houses beside each other. It was your insight into Master Paul, which I had no earthly idea was there, that led me down the path of Will's seeking redemption. Chris made a comment about Master Paul being a nice guy, and that Janice's punishment for Will, might not actually be a punishment at all. That's what opened the door for me to see Lance and Will working out the reason for the attack the previous night, and the vandalism at Mikey's. Also it gave Lance the opportunity to shine as a loving, caring, and strong individual. You rock, Chris.

Yes, Janice's unaware of the trouble she's just caused herself. I loved Tony getting some levity in the situation by asking Mikey if there was any way he wouldn't get involved. He knew that would break the heavy mood, a little. And, the cliffhanger is perfect. So there, nah nah. *Maturely blowing a raspberry at you.* LOL

Don't just focus on the sadness of what was done to Mikey and Dakota. Focus on the Will to survive, and go on with life. These two guys could've chosen to let their experiences destroy them, and shut the door on love forever. They didn't they're consciously choosing to continue loving, and opening their hearts to people. I did warn you guys, it was powerful and emotional, but it's also inspiring and joyful

Awesome comment, Chris. I know, this was painful to read, it was painful as hell to write, but it really cements the bond and devotion these two will always have with each other. Yes, there are fingerprints and handwriting. The what's written on the notes hasn't been established yet, and let's face it, Janice is a rich, spoiled, bitch with some high connections, and some influence. She's nowhere close to the connections and influence The Carter/Knight family has. Mikey has never cashed in on his political equity, or used his connections for anything except helping others. Hell, Mikey doesn't even realize yet, how connected he is, because he's not interested in that.
