  2. Happy Birthday!
  3. G'day, Marc! Welcome to GA If you've got any questions, please don't hesitate to ask. If you've got no questions, can you tell me next week's winning lottery numbers?
  4. Merry Christmas, everyone. May it be free of cliffs....

G'day, CoLeYy! Welcome back! Thing have been generally good, as far as I know. The Canadians are all excited about the prospect of yet another election, but otherwise things are quiet
  6. No need. I'm a mod and I've just checked. You've got your album set to private, so only you, moderators and admins can see it I suggest you create a public album for the pictures you want others to see, or change your album to be visible to others. When you create a new album, there's a check box. By default, albums are created as private. You need to check the box to allow it to be public. To change your current album setting, go to your list of albums and on the right hand side there's a section called "Controls" that includes the option "Edit my albums". Select this and edit the album to bring up the page that allows you to set it to be visible to the public. Good luck! Graeme
  7. That looks good!
  8. Happy Birthday, Jan! Why don't you celebrate with a tea party?
  9. It's a personal taste thing, and even there it can vary depending on the mood of the reader. Sometimes I like reading long rambling thoughts, but other times I want to see the story moving along. More often than not, I prefer the 'shorter version', but I recognise that that is my personal taste and not something that I should dictate to an author. When the rambling is done well, it can be a really enjoyable read
  10. LOL -- welcome to GA, Zenny! There are a lot of other teenagers here, though I'll admit that most of them are male. However, we have a significant number of female members, so please don't feel that you're not going to fit in. You're probably going to be in more trouble for killing your cactus than for being a female teen Personally, I don't mind. Cacti and I don't seem to get along too well.... If you've got any questions, please don't hesitate to ask myself or one of the other moderators. We're here to help
  11. Bah, humbug! (don't blame me, it's the appropriate seasonal response....) I had the easy job. It's the authors that had the tough job. Now this I can agree with Though I noticed that the editors were left off... As an author, I know how critical editors are and they should also be thanked loudly and clearly
  12. Yep, that's me But don't worry, I don't bite... often. Welcome, foxytroxy! Well, pretty well any of the hosted or promised authors here are worth reading. And there's a ton of material in the eFiction and archive areas. Of course, I can't go past without mentioning the quarterly anthologies, too. Seriously, though, there's a range of material in a variety of genres. Let us know what sorts of stories you like to read and we'll be able to give more accurate recommendations Cheers! Graeme GA Anthology Coordinator
  13. Thanks for the news, rainyday. I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope it's not anything too serious and that he has a speedy recovery.
  14. G'day, Jamie! I'm very glad you've found GA -- it's a great place to be
  15. G'day, Daichi! If you've particular questions you'd like to ask to help you out, the Teen Forum is a good place to start. Beside lots of advice from your peers, you'll get the occasional advice from some of us older (but young at heart) members I'm sorry you're having a bad month and I hope the New Year starts a lot better for you. Good luck! Graeme
  16. The Winter Anthology is now online and I would like to thank everyone who has been involved. Firstly, the authors and editors, without which there wouldn't be an anthology. As a past contributer myself, I know how much effort they can put in and I want to give a big Thank You for what they've done. On the technical side, I'd like to thank Steph for her assistance in getting the anthology ready and online. Lastly, I would like to thank Myr, C James and everyone else who has been involved previously in organising these anthologies, making them a quartely feature that I, for one, have always looked forward to seeing. Thanks, everyone! Graeme GA Anthology Coordinator
  17. G'day, Daichi! Welcome to GA. I can see you're already settling in, but if you've got any questions, please don't hesitate to ask
  18. Graeme

    Hey guys

Hmm... that would make an interesting Anthology theme. I'm just not sure how many entries we'll get. Graeme GA Anthology Coordinator PS: And in a completely shameless plug, the 2008 Winter Anthology is now up.
  19. Do you happen to remember last year's Christmas present from CJ? I'm not sure they are always 'gifts'....
  20. More Than I Remember by Comicality Kissing Rodney was always the highlight of my day. :nuke: :nuke: Spoilers Below!!! :nuke: :nuke:
  21. Happy Birthday, Benji! Have a great day!
  22. CJ is correct. Speculation, even accurate speculation, is not a spoiler because there's not guarantee that you'll be correct. Comments by someone who knows what's coming up, however, is a spoiler and can ruin the enjoyment of the story. However, I should state, for the record, that I know how to ski. Neither rain, nor snow, nor sleet, nor hail will keep me from my appointed anti-spoiler duties. :mace:
  23. Happy Birthday!
  24. Thank you for everyone who has contributed. I really appreciate the work everyone has put in. I'm going to review the pictures over the next month or two before I make a decision on what happens next. However, I really wanted to express my thanks to those who have helped. THANK YOU!!!! PS: If anyone wants to put in a late submission, please feel free. I'm not going to reject a good picture just because it's after the posted deadline.
  25. Congratulations, Myr!
