Good point : depending on the mine's nature (iron or coal or,..) and how deep they went, tracker may not be powerful enough to give position. but once in the mine, the Sentinels might just use Elijah's scents to find and rescue him (like dogs 🙂)

each person's scent is unique : dogs are even able to identify twins by their natural scents. but perfums can alterate it a short time : that's why you always need to try on your own skin because perfums that smell wonderful can stink once on your skin 😁 There is a dog in US who saved his diabetic master because he smellt that he was in hypoglycemia ! (i think he called the 911 with the emergency button on his master ) There is also a good thriller "Perfum" from P. Süskind (and a movie based on this book)
