  1. It seems to me, that our society will always skew the numbers on this issue. Our religious beliefs, social acceptability, and environment all play a very large role. If we were to take away religious beliefs, and remove the stigma of homosexuality from our environment, I have a strong suspicion that there would be a wide majority right in the center. There are many ancient societies that accepted homosexuality as common place. It wasn
  2. LOL now that is funny.... I guess I'll leave it as it is then! I've been called worse.
  3. LOL Well before I screwed with the picture... it was supposed to be 'Princess'. LOL It cracked me up! So... I had a little fun with it and made it my avatar. Now, if you can show me what Hime No Aku would look like, I'd really like to see that one!
  4. Thank you for your kind words. I have added Chapter 3. I hope future chapters will have the benefit of my new found editors. I have another 14 or so chapters to weed through, so I guess I had best get to work. Take care!
  5. You're right! But I am glad I happened back by. The person below me and greatest fear is dying alone.
  6. I agree that there are certainly many ways to show loss and have your character move on. The DOH series (who I blame for many hours of lost sleep
  7. There are many reasons for killing off characters. Killing off a main character can do many things for a story especially at the beginning. It pulls the reader in. Lets them see a bit of reality. We are surrounded by death every day. No, we don
  8. Is anyone doing this? How's it coming along? I read through the description, but am at work at the moment. Fun? Just curious!
  9. I've done a LOT of reading and and have a pretty large vocabulary, I don't know at least three of those words. Maybe I'm swinging my stupidity out on a flagpole here but if I had to look up that many words in a single chapter I would most likely put the book down and leave it forever unless the plot and story were just that damned good. In the last couple of months I have had my ego bruised a few times. The usual knee jerk response is to fire back a scathing reply. I usually wait a day before replying on those emails. Most often, when I re read the email again an hour later I've already started to consider what they have said and usually find it is true. What you said here was not harsh and seems to have been your honest opinion. I don't know if I would have been able to put it as gently. I suppose it depends on the person you are reviewing. It is always good to consider someone's feelings when we write a review. Being down right nasty never does anyone any good and is counter productive. Feed back and useful criticism is an author's life line. A placating 'great story' comment doesn't help. What you wrote does. Take care!
  10. Well... you have my submission. I'm anxious to hear what you think.
  11. ---- Chapter 2 has been revised and added. Hope to hear from you soon.
  12. I've added the third revision of the story to e-fiction. (finally with much help from The Everknowledgable Goat!) Thank you. https://www.gayauthors.org/eficiton/viewstory.php?sid=162
  13. I have begun my third revision of this story. Now, only 15 chapters remain to be edited and corrected for continuity, disrepencies and flow. (now doesn't that sound like fun!) With any luck I'll be able to finish the final couple of chapters that complete this story. https://www.gayauthors.org/eficiton/viewstory.php?sid=162 I hope to hear your criticisms and suggestions soon. Take care!
  14. I would like to sign up for this. There's a story that's been peaking around my brain. Count me in if you're still accepting folks! Thanks!
  15. I believe I downloaded a video similar to that once. One of those morbid curiosities that you might deplore but have to stare wide eyed in disbelief. Therapy? We don't need no stinking therapy!
  16. No, I haven't heard of them. Though I wager I will be listening to them shortly. The person below me will have a passion for Kate Bush's Hounds of Love and Godhead
  17. Wow! Thank you both for the fabulous welcome. I hadn
  18. I started writing this Story July 23, 2006. I've finished about 75,000 words (17) chapters or so and I have received a lot of positive feedback. It is, of course, what motivates me to continue. You can find the story at Nifty.org In the Gay Male, Sci/Fi section. Titled Earth Reborn. I learned of this place through feedback. After the fifth or sixth mention of this site I decided to drop by. Very nice! It's more than I expected and I hope that I can offer something. I'm sure I'll learn, which is my ultimate goal. Before you read the story, keep in mind please, that it is my first. I know I have a TON to learn. I have a terrible affinity for typing the word 'waste' instead of 'waist' so there are some comical sentences. I don't have the best grammar, and my spelling has a lot to be desired. I work on both each day. Thank you for your time and I hope to be hearing from you soon! Take care!
