The game is on...and Vincent finally has the resources to play Stefan's game. He's not ready for the fight, but the game? Vinnie's ready to play! I have a soft spot for Kaplan. His detailed experiences are still a mystery to us, but to be abused for not being...manly enough. There's a story to be told through Kaplan. I could write about Mason and Vincent all day, every day...but I think if anyone deserves a spotlight...it gotta be Kap (okay, Dave's worthy, but hush...be patient). I...forking...love writing for Cyrus!!! Ooof! Velvety voice, a literal King Sized Hershey Bar, and the finesse to slay the world. Gentle in life, deadly when poked. Well. If this book is published, it's gonna be a real big book. It won't be humongous, but it will be fairly large! Part of me doesn't want this to end, but I would be smart to say it's already reached the halfway mark. You want a signed copy? I stand by all my creative decisions...but man @Philippe you made this chapter sound completely ridiculous! This is absolutely hilarious! I needed an animal that seemed wise, playful, and not afraid to get their paws bloody if need be. I mean...a panda! And it is Vincent's fight! Stefan murdered his parents. And with Vincent's wolf about to learn of the fire mage's actions, we are going to have one PO'd wolf! From your previous comment, Vincent has just doubled his amount of training (if not tripled if he ever finds someone to help with the Shadow affinity). But I'm sure with how fast he has improved with Elaine's frost training, Vincent's wolf will excel with Lei's. As much as I love the title, "Magical Mage Alpha Wolf Destined Mate," I think it might be a little long. I love it though!!!

I try my best to keep the thought conversations short to minimize on the confusion. This is why I kept the wolf-side's dialect to be very basic with short sentences, almost caveman-like. With Tierney leaving NYSP, I didnt want to leave that small part of the story hanging. So, in comes Cyrus! I wanted to bring in a unique character, since all my shifter characters are these big guys with gruff voices. He's a pack fixer. And despite Tierney's best efforts, New York will always be a hot mess. So Cyrus sees this as a potential masterpiece. Glad you are enjoying this story, and are eager for new chapters!

Love the conspiracies that all the mages are going to take on Stefan together. Just gotta remember, this is Vincent's fight... Cyrus is a master at fixing pack problems. Seeing New York's size, he sees it as his greatest challenge...his, say, masterpiece. Shifter Avengers!!! This! Is! Great! Love this!!! I am in love with m Vincent's wolf! I've debated for the longest time to start up a forum on my first-ever adventure in writing, and after posting the 22nd chapter, and after the intense praise from the comments and hitting 30k views, I felt the need to create this. My story, Love in the Shadows, is a para-normal gay romance that follows an Alpha wolf shapeshifter, Mason Wilson, who quickly finds his destined mate, Vincent Bolton. Vincent, a mage capable of clairvoyancy and controlling ice and shadows, works at a grocery store. Living in the town temporarily, he continues to hunt down the evil mage that murdered his parents when he was nine-years old. As Mason attempts to woo his mate, Vincent continues to hone his skills, study more on the supernatural and magical worlds, and track down Stefan Gregoro, a maleficent mage who, also can control shadows, along with fire. As our two heroes develop their relationship, Vincent learns to integrate within the shifter community and get accustomed to Mason's accompaniment. The story involves deep romance, perilous fight scenes, and unexpected twists along the way. With this being my first story ever, I am seeking comments and criticism actively. I want to become a better writer. Plain and simple. Writing this story has been one of the only hobbies that I have kept up with. My hobbies usually end with me stopping halfway through and ending with abandonment. My thirst for writing has begun, and with this wonderful community around me, I ask to be given a shot. My hope is to create something that will inspire future endeavors in the writing community.

I...got nothing on that! Closest thing to pure country living was picking eggs from under an actual chicken. Like...my little 9 year old skinny twig arm...going under a sitting chicken...and grabbing eggs, with a chicken looking at me as it I were a Sunday paper ready to be read. Outhouses are familiar from my Boy Scouting days, but wash tub...(lowkey, imagining it being pronounced warshtub...) and banjos...nope! I'm still a city boy at heart. I can still shoot a BB rifle and knock a tin can off a fence post from thirty yards away...but the rest of my southern adventures left me a long time ago. As far as accent... I picture my voice as a slightly southern-kissed John Mulaney...

I'm happy...nah, ecstatic, with the fact you think I'm getting better with every chapter. You...read this thing...3 times? Well...I'm what actual southerners call a 'pretend southerner.' I'm from southern Indiana (where everyone acts like they came from the Andy Griffith show), but moved to Kentucky for college...yeah, I just realized how back-asswards that just sounded. I don't consider myself a true southerner, mostly since I don't have *ahem* dat derr Kan-Tuck-key ackscent. But I recognize the power that this area has on storytelling. I never got to know my grandfathers, but one of my grandmothers was my honest-to-God best friend. She taught me to always speak the truth, and it had better come from the heart. And after this comment, I'm going to take that advice and put it into my fingers as I type. I love how everyone has been going bonkers on this "newborn wolf" perspective! I didn't know it was that new (I'm hesitant to call it original, but I feel I could get away with it) of a concept. Well...I'm running with it now! Get ready for more dialogue! Hooray!!! Dialogue comes so freakin' naturally for me! I could spend chapters just on a seated conversation... Listen @Philippe, between you and Patch1, y'all too good at making me cry! Looking back to when I started this journey, I never imagined LitS would blossom like this. This thing is about to hit 30k views...that's bonkers! This story isn't anywhere near done. I promise you that. I am somewhat bothered that the story will be longer than anticipated (the pipe dream is for this to be published at some point, but the book might be too fat...). But as long as we are all having fun, that's what counts!

I'm so thrilled that everyone seems to enjoy the wolf's perspective! I think I'm going to find it entertaining writing for Vincent from here on out: a 5' 8" tall tiny mage that has an Alpha wolf conscious. This story is about to be real fun! I felt that there was some resentment lingering in Kotik...but my God...my eyes are aflutter! The amount of power that these two possess is absolutely bonkers! Pure bonkers! I was not ready for the plans of kingdom domination, but it seems their intentions are pure, even if it seems there's going to be a lot of pain along the way. Pain that may come from our heroes...or members of current nobility. Consider me addicted to this story...

Nice chapter! I appreciated the Borisov backstory involving Hunter's childhood and the big reason he hates his family. Man...I'm in the boat with Hunter. That family has some serious problems. Only had one issue. I'm assuming Alex and Felix are the same person? If it is, this may be a slight nuisance to a more hardcore critic, but I can easily overlook this. This stinkin' story is still the funniest thing I've ready in a very...very long time. Part of me wants Hunter to give Hellboy a chance (or at least put the Devil in a trap to just get a date?) but I know that would be baaaad! I can not wait for the next chapter! Definitely going to follow this story and turn on notifications...

This chapter...was spot on! The story needed another visit from Hellboy as a reminder that the overlooming threat of world destruction was a major plot point, and we desperately needed to see more of Hunter's sensitive side. Mission accomplished, Mr. Demented! Now we have another potential love interest with several paths of suggested travel. Could Hunter reveal to Felix of the paranormal world? Could Hunter actually fall in love with this human? Or does Hunter give in to Hellboy, become his permanent lover and the world still gets blown up? I need more chapters, I need a drink of water, and I need a cigarette!

I can only hope Ski Mask Jack makes a reappearance! Or at least another character to come along for Hunter to just roast. And I mean...roast! This is the greatest story I have ever read! Hands down! I want this story to go on until the end of time if this is going to be the tone. This story, in my hindsighted opinion...is so all over the place. My high school English teacher would fling this story back at me in hopes that the staple gets put into my skull. But my initial opinion stands: this is a fantastic story! My wishes for this story to have 50+ chapters...

What an interesting story display this is! I freakin' love it! Hunter is literally my consciousness, especially when I'm at work and dealing with the most ignorant of customers. Great work, by the way! This is a breath of fresh air for most of the supernatural stories I have read. Now, excuse me while I binge all of these chapters...
