This chapter was everything I wanted and everything I didn't know I wanted. Absolute perfection! The kids melted my damn heart into a puddle. And of course...this. THEY'RE ENGAGED! And how beautiful it was. Just perfect for them. I'd kill to watch that video. And Jay's reaction was perfect. As was Loren giving him a moment to get it all out. Then soon to be steamy sex that turned out to be probably my favorite part of the entire serious so far. Literary gold. I'm telling you. I cried when Loren proposed and I cried laughing reading this. You have a way with humor. Loren is the biggest softy. He loves Jay. Will Loren survive the next chapter?

Perfectly done. I'm very proud of Loren. I know it was hard for him to get to where he is, but he persevered. And good on him for suggesting Denver. I think it will be the perfect place for them to start the next phase together. A fresh start for both of them. This made me laugh. I can see Loren perfectly lol. It's kind of how he's gone about everything so far. And Carson loves him, just like Aidan loves him. Loren is such a loveable guy. I'm so happy. With that said, how the heck is this almost over? I refuse to believe it.

Loren's house clearly means a lot to him. I don't think living with Jay is the problem, I think there is an attachment to his house. It's almost a dependency. Last chapter there were a lot of comments about Loren automatically saying Jay come move in with him. I think this is why. I see this being a hurdle that he has to mentally overcome. He's not a bankrupted 18 year old. He's 30+ and very successful.

I may have yelled at Loren a few times. "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" This will not be a chapter I will re-read over and over. It's like the Office Episode 'Scott's Tots'. To cringy to read for pleasure lol

I don't know how I got through the chapter with all the cringing I was doing. I had to stop reading twice because the second hand embarrassment was too much to handle. But in the midst off all the cringing and bad decisions, things were clicking for Loren. I could see things slowly falling into place. The entire chapter was like the sun slowly rising for Loren. I'm even more anxious for next chapter. Damn cliffs.

I've read it. I know @Mrsgnomie wouldn't go insane and not give them the HEA, but it doesn't make me any less nervous.

Oh, I noticed it! I just didn't want to mention it because it makes me so upset. The more upset I get, the more I worry that Jay won't take him back.

I read this and it reminded me of earlier chapters and how Jay is often a golden retriever and Loren is a feral cat. But it looks like the feral cat is being tamed. And that tells me that things will be okay...

With the big boom out of the way. This chapter had a lot happening. Good stuff. I was so glad to see Lars and Courtney came and visited. The whole group needed this reunion. I don't know why it never occurred to me that it's bigger than Lars and Loren. Of course their friends were effected also. It felt healing for them to reunite. The way they gathered around and loved on each other, slept together, ate breakfast together. They're seven again and having a sleep over. It makes sense that Lars and Loren had similar reactions and behaviors as they grew up. It's also unsurprising that they're basically dating the same person. It made me smile. 🤣🤣 When do I get to walk in on them? I want my turn! I think Jay handled dinner nicely. It won't be an immediate turn around but he's right..

How did I see this coming yet was completely blindsided at the same time. For some reason, I really didn't think this would be an issue. I thought they might argue over kids, not moving in together. It's obvious Loren is freaking out, but Jay has every right to put his foot down. And I think he needs to. Loren needs the firm boundary here. He needs Jay to say "no, this is what I want". He's not being unreasonable. I'd like to think they'll sleep on it and talk in the morning but I have a feeling it will be more than that.

This was such a great chapter. You can't tell me the beginning isn't a tell of what is to come. The babies are coming. I think Seamus and Matt asking Jay and Loren to be Godfathers is perfect. I hope Loren realizes they wouldn't do that just because. They TRUST him. But still, this had me in stitches

For what it's worth, I would absolutely read a story about Aidan going to college and falling for his roommate. It would need to be sexless, mostly. Aidan is our favorite little potato, not a college sexpot

I feel validated. I thought something was off with Lars' tone. It definitely feels like a "you wronged me" situation. Which makes me wonder, what the hell did Loren's parents say? I have a feel we're about to find out. I think we can agree both kids are the victim. Now we find out just how they've been victimized. If I had to guess, I would say Lars was heavily manipulated in order to keep him from questioning things. Why else would Lars not have reached out to Loren over the years? He clearly knew where he was, what he was up to, and how to find him.

Geez @Mrsgnomie. What a chapter. It was sweet and fun and totally made my morning. At the same time, there were enough nuggets woven in to keep it from being a fluff piece. Loren for example. Who's he trying to convince that he's against kids? He's basically glued to Aidan's side the entire time. Sure, he doesn't want anything to do with baby mugget but a lot of people struggle with brand new babies. And he definitely doesn't seem upset when not one BUT TWO of his best friends find out they're pregnant. It's raining babies in their little world. When will Loren finally cave? And Lars. I'm glad Aidan convinced Loren to message him and I'm glad Jay followed up. I get where Lars is coming from. It's not something to be taken lightly. Now we see what happens. Jay coming in clutch with some sound f*ing advice OH, and how cute was Jay after MB's girls at a go at his makeup? Swoon.

Matt and Jay's banter must've rubbed off on Aidan and Loren. I absolutely cannot with those two. It was hysterical. 😆🤣
