Four Men and a Lady Oven
Topnotch commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Four Men and a Lady Oven
Island Blowjob will go down in history. I bet Loe and Jay tasked with recalling their painful memories to teach the kids the importance's of locking doors and not giving keys away. I will respect if Loren never wants kids because not everyone wants that, but I hope he reconsiders.- 105 comments

Four Men and a Lady Oven
Topnotch commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Four Men and a Lady Oven
If Loren is concerned about Jay thinking that Jett Romero is a good lap dance, then he better step up and show him, and the rest of us, what a real lap dance is. In all seriousness, Jay is a regular guy who isn't immune from bad decisions like getting pulled into a situationship with someone a little off their rocker. I think that was probably good for Loren to hear. This chapter touched all my feels. But the part that hit the hardest was the conversation between Seamus and Loren. @imogene_arant better catch your ship, it's sailing off!- 105 comments

I usually side eye dream sense like that but this was well done. It read very naturally and went well with the overall story line. Not only that but it seamlessly rolled into... Can one read with their face covered from secondhand embarrassment? I did. I couldn't decide if I was cringing or laughing. Poor Jay! Poor Loren! I'm already cringing for him when Loren finally sees Jay's parents again. Not just because of the blowjob. But because shit is going down about the way his parents treat the boys differently. Everything is changing and it will be awkward to watch as a bystander. This was such a great chapter. Perfectly crafted.

Good dreams and bad nightmares
Topnotch commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Good dreams and bad nightmares
What is happening that I spend most of Monday and Thursdays overanalyzing this story? Case in point, and forgive me @Mrsgnomie, but I had no choice but to reference BN, we are two years out from the Epilogue in BN. No injuries are referenced and it seems like Jay JUST retired before the Mexico trip. Whatever is happening now, I don't think it's catastrophic. It also makes me think he does sign an extension? Maybe he doesn't want to end his career like this? Regardless, I think he plays for another 2 years. That in itself is kind of WTF. Loren will let him sign after this??? What am I missing???? I NEED ANSWERS. Also, not to be a pest, but according to the timeline, we should be hearing about a certain tater tot soon. He's one years old in Mexico. 9 months gestation plus planning... tick tock, tick tock.- 132 comments

Good dreams and bad nightmares
Topnotch commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Good dreams and bad nightmares
I think it's amazing that Loren dropped what he was doing and went to Colorado for Seamus. I wish it was Seamus who'd reached out, not Matt. They'll get there. Aidan nods excitedly and grabs the phone with both hands, pulling it way too close to his face. A nice booger shot for everyone. “No matter da low wife or da high wife. You wiv the best wife!” I love me Aidan. I love that he knows Loren's catchphrase. I'm not going to address the end of the chapter. I can't wrap my head around it. It doesn't line up with BN. Jay lives. So...wtf is happening. WTF IS HAPPENING. NO, I said I wasn't going there.- 132 comments

Once again you had me feeling everything. What a wonderful chapter. I love Jay and his brothers. They remind me of me and mine. All four of them. Taylor would take the the tasks of sexy pictures seriously, even in the middle of the night. I loved it. I laughed so hard as I imagined him swinging around doorjambs on his way to find the nudes. I'd also be in a rush to find those. 😆 😆 😆 😆 😆 But then you had me stressing over the photographer guy. I should know that Loren would NEVER but he has a colorful past where relationships didn't have much means. I was nervous. My stomach was in knots when he flew back home. The relief I felt when Loren was laying in his bed...

Jay's brothers stole the whole chapter. They were absolutely amazing. It's clear they adore their big brother regardless of how their parents treat them. I can definitely see this playing out later in the story. Jay will become aware of his position as the "golden child" and he will be able to cast an alternate perspective when and if Lars and Loren meet. I also see him being filled with guilt, that he didn't notice earlier and/or do something about it. Jay would hate to know his brothers ever felt pained because of him. Loren stole the show with all the vanilla talk. Another piece of the "Loren wasn't ever as happy as he seemed". What a great chapter. Again. I'm always captivated by what you write.

This was a great chapter. Aidan is 100% too cute too boot. I love that he peed on Loren. That has to be some kind of initiation if I ever saw. GO AIDO POTATO! And I won't read too much into it but Jay seems awfully excited about driving a minivan for someone who doesn't want to have kids. I'm just saying... This chapter felt like a big shift for me. It felt like Loren has settled a little bit. He went to Denver for Christmas without incident. Christmas was the holiday in which he was abandoned, so I feel like this is a big deal. Huge. He didn't even bat an eye. Even when they find out that Lars is in fact poking around, Loren is calm and collected while his friends are preparing for worse case, which I appreciated. Jay seems to learn to reel things in. He lets them handle the Lars thing without overstepping. Maybe he didn't reel it in towards the end when he was throwing stuff against the wall. That was a risky move, but I do think he also sensed a change in Loren. I think Jay has a good feel for when it's time to step back and when it's time to press forward. This was a really great chapter, very enjoyable! Your postings make Monday one of my favorite days of the week.- 96 comments

Enjoying the here and now
Topnotch commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Enjoying the here and now
I feel dumb saying it's the best chapter because each chapter is my new favorite. But this was so good because it's pure happiness! It's one of the first chapters where there is no hint about what is coming. “It would be hard getting up without Jay. Thank you scrubber6620, but I have no problem getting it up when Jay’s gone.” This line made me LOL.- 55 comments

Enjoying the here and now
Topnotch commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Enjoying the here and now
The best part of the whole chapter was Aidan interrupting Loren's sexual advancements and then Matt and Seamus joining in. I felt awkward, so thank you for that. Couldn't help laugh as Loren slunk away under the blankets. Aidan is the real MVP- 55 comments

Enjoying the here and now
Topnotch commented on Mrsgnomie's story chapter in Enjoying the here and now
Do we get to hear more about people sneaking in to Loren's house? I want to hear about that! But really, what a great chapter. I like the balance here. Loren's been going to Jay's games, working that aspect, I like that Jay got to accompany Loren for work. Aido Potato did not disappoint. Him making mashed potatoes and then Loren watching everyone else eat them had me laughing outload over my morning coffee. Swoon: Jay is as simple and straightforward as they come, yet nothing about him is simple at all. He doesn’t just look at you or smile at you, he consumes you. He breaks you down like data in the Matrix and sends you to another universe. Case in point. “Here’s the thing, Ryan. The future is full of possibilities and what-ifs. But I don’t live there, I live here, where I am. I don’t want to waste what I have today thinking about what I could have tomorrow. Will Loren and I marry?” Jay shrugs. Who knows. “Is he here with me now? Yes. Will I see if he wants to have dinner with me tonight at Sivi’s? Absolutely. These are the things I get to enjoy now. I look forward to whatever will come tomorrow, next week, and next year. And as they unfold, I will enjoy them, just as I enjoy every day I have with Loren.” Loren doesn't even seem mad when he realizes that he might've been duped into a holiday. His brokenness his healing, one day at a time.- 55 comments

This was an underrated scene. I too felt like it flipped a switch for me. I saw them in a different light. It made it real, hit home just how far they’ve come. Must be how Jay felt.

I have no doubt Jay has the most perfect intentions, but Loren wasn't lying when he said that Jay has away of making things go his way. If he wants to have Thanksgiving with Loren, I imagine he will make it happen. Mostly, BRING ME AIDO POTATO
