I think Tyler is terrified of the reaction his parents will have if/when they find out. Plus the way everyone is reacting at school, he has no idea how to deal with it. He really needs to find a mentor to help him understand and find ways to deal with this. He really does love Rufus, and is pushing him away because he is hurting and doesn't want to hurt Rufus.

It's nice to see them getting bold. As for Tim and possible bad reaction, f**k him! He doesn't care about anybody but himself. I think it's going to be his mother that has the bad reaction, she is holding to much in right now.

Tyler has done a complete change from who he had been in the beginning! At first he wouldn't even be seen with Rufus in school, now he's hugging Rufus in school hallway!😊 Yes I agree with @J.EI that Tyler is definitely going to need Rufus's support during the upheaval that is about to take place. Really hope that Rufus is up to the job. Also think Jim and Clyde will actually be there for him too! Not to sure about Dwight...sounds like a real jerk! Maybe he will surprise us though.

Wow! What a turn around for Tyler😊! And yes Rufus, you opened up and made Tyler open up about his feelings and wants. Great job! I like how Jim is being a true friend to Tyler and keeping quiet about what he saw Tyler and Rufus doing in class. Expect a serious conversation to take place soon between Tyler and Jim.

Tyler is probably going to have some explaining to do, but then again just maybe he will have the gonads to tell his so called friends like it is, either accept him as he is, or leave him alone. Stand up and be a man Tyler!

I can understand where both are coming from. I myself am kind of like Rufus, a smart nerd😂! At one time years ago I was involved with a Tyler type of person. Well unfortunately he couldn't get the nerve up to stand up to his "friends" so I did the smart thing and walked away. I may be 54 now and alone, but I would rather be alone than be someone's secret lover. Hopefully Tyler does the right thing and stands up to his friends and his homophobic father.

Great story Andy. Sorry it's taken me so long to start reading it. Got behind in my reading and busy with other things. Finally caught up! Really liking the start of this story. Curious as to where it will go. Have a feeling the boy is going to be a major part of the story...could be wrong though. Usually am.😏
