This typically occurs as a result of TBI - traumatic brain injury, which in my understanding, you describe occurring in your friend’s husband. Meningitis and encephalitis can lead to something similar, perhaps, but not to such an extent, I believe. Regardless, it’s a very interesting theory, and I can assure you - Dylan thought of it - you’ll read a short reference to it in one of the later chapters (sorry for a tiny spoiler). I feel like I have to clarify - it will not be as revolting, of course😳 Just something fucked up and unexpected, rather. Liam had his ego wounded - imagine rich, handsome white boy who is used to getting everything he wanted being rejected for the first time in his life. Ewww, this isn’t a werewolf story🤣. As for Dylan, it’s more like this conflicting, unresolved toxic lust for Liam’s body and a big dick? I have no way of knowing, things are too fucked up in Dylan’s head at the moment. What if our little dude just wants to fuck the bad boy, get it out of his system and ditch him? No hard feelings. As of now, Dylan isn’t throwing himself at Liam. For all I care, he can jam a screwdriver up his eye once he gets in his house and be done with it, who knows what’ll happen in the next chapter? I can promise that it is going to be deliciously disgusting, however. Almost revolting. Might cost me some readers, but this is where the story is going.🤷‍♂️

The next chapter will be very… interesting indeed. As far as the feels, something tells me those are physiological responses, if anything.

A few days after our midnight chat, Emma left. Uncle Hank agreed to let her visit her parents, and she had to speed up her departure to avoid being seen by Liam. His flight home was scheduled for the weekend, it gave her no wiggle room to plan her trip, and a few days later Helen and I were dropping her off at the airport. “If Hank shows up there, just call me.” mom told her after a tight hug. “I don’t think he will.” she replied. “He’s trying to mend things, so he’ll behave for now.”

Interesting theory… I, myself, have always been a fan of strong character arcs. I think they elevate the stories the most - nothing beats humane, flawed heroes that feel like they’re real and have several dimensions to them. I’ve said it somewhere, but that’s probably why Breaking Bad is one of my favorite shows. The slow descent of a good-hearted character into a murderous criminal was heartbreaking, but oh so delicious.
